Just remember when the Liberals and Nationals - like chumpy in the suit here - slag off the ABC that it’s THE most popular news outlet in the country and was the media service that got us all through the bushfires.

It’s OUR ABC. It belongs to ALL Australian people. And attacks on it are the definition of “UnAustralian”.

COLUMN Even the Chief Justice seems scared by what her High Court did on Tuesday: effectively invent a new law that divides us by race.The High Court decided in a split decision that even foreign criminals identifying as Aborigines can never be expelled from Australia.  This marches us towards a form of apartheid, without even a vote of the people.

Andrew Bolt doesn't really tell the full story, does he? He only tells a part that suits him.  He seems to have called a community of Indigenous Australians liars which isn't unusual for Bolt. Bolt is the least assimilated Australian media hack at Murdoch media. He hangs on to dual citizenship and dreams of returning to retire in the Netherlands where he wasn't born so his connection to say Amsterdam is as weak as because it today is more multicultural than Melbourne and regards itself a socially Democratic city. In Bolt's twisted mind almost Communist. Yet he rails against Australia as an anti-white nest of extreme left-wing radicals. He claims to be an Aussie but you will rarely see him out in public.

 The Australian government has released an Aboriginal man from immigration detention after a landmark high court case decided Aboriginal Australians are not aliens for the purpose of the constitution and cannot be deported.

 The majority of the high court ruled that New Zealand-born Brendan Thoms was not an alien and the commonwealth, therefore, did not have the power to order his deportation.

 The case was a major defeat for the deportation powers of Peter Dutton’s home affairs department and significant development in the rights of Indigenous Australians.
What seems to irk Bolt is that Peter Dutton is elected which makes him higher than a High Court Judge. The reverse of the separation of powers within this country Bolt prefers the whim of a Minister over and above that of the law. But then he is a convicted vilifier under the RDA which irks Bolt even more about our laws as they stand.
It seems Bolt prefers our courts to be part of our elected government as they are in the US where like Trump the PM appoints our judges rather than the legal profession itself. No bias in that idea is there when he regards the legal profession as left-wing. The Separation of Powers isn't Bolt's cup of tea. Nor are any, Laws affecting Political Donations ( apart from GetUp) Pork Barrelling election rigging isn't what Bolt wants. He'd like us to be more American particularly when it comes to the ABC.
