Does Bolt hate the Americans for the Kansas Flu? They called it the Spanish flu but discovered it in Kansas. They hadn't a clue where it came from but decided to misinform the world and call it Spanish? Does Bolt hate the Germans for the German measles simply because they discovered the disease no?  Does he call the atom bomb American, German or Jewish no. America didn't hesitate to drop two of them without a word of warning on the Japanese civilians purposefully killed, an estimated 200,000. However, he hates and scorns the Chinese in much the same way he does Muslims, Africans and the Left. Calling the virus the Chinese the way Trump does is political racist scapegoating for no scientific reason but purely ideological political and racial. To say it's not our fault.
Andre Bolt's called to war the bigots and racists and justified the ultra-right to come out abuse and assault Chinese or simply Asians in the street just as he has Muslims and Africans alike calling young white Western Christians to fight with the same misguided conviction as ISIS terrorists have but then when the spotlight turns on him he denies it claiming to be a people-loving pacifist. He's Australia's Christian gutless.
He hates the praise China a country of 1.3 bill is given for stemming the contagion within its borders. He doesn't mention the concerted help they are giving 89 other nations to battle it. They are sending both equipment and medical specialists. Not a word from Bolt that the Chinese Jack Ma has sent 1 mill masks and 500k testing kits among other goods to the US which Trump distributes as his. He never talks of the progress they have made in medical research in understanding the nature of the virus. All he delivers to his audience is the snarky scapegoating of China because his glorious Western culture and Capitalist system have failed dismally to handle the pandemic and seem incapable of doing so. America fast becoming the image of a failed social system.
Bolt offers absolutely nothing constructive to the understanding or conversation of what's really going on. He's literally in denial.

Even Donald Trump isn't downplaying the seriousness of the illness anymore Bolt's lagging behind with the Murdochians at Fox who keep changing their stories but never as fast as Trump. The so-called "overreaction" seems to be taking the pandemic and framing it in the arguments used against global climate change. Forget the world Australia is ok. However, when comparing us with the rest of the world per pop we still rate among the top 25% of the world. Bolt tried to brag Marxism can't handle it however the comparisons show the opposite is true. Who are the alarmists? Virologists, Medical experts the government 99% of the world it seems except  Andrew Bolt whose a puppet the voice of a minimal few and we can guess who. 
The cost/benefit or the benefit/cost is applied here in the same way as it's used against climate change. Except we do know the cost the real question Bolt doesn't want to face is who pays and which system is best positioned to make that happen because like climate change this is a global problem, not just an Australian one. Putin has a simple answer the Oligarchs not can but will pay and that's the side Bolt's batting for. not Putin for sure. Bolt lives in a world of his own disconnected and social distanced.

MCCRANN: PM NEEDS EXIT STRATEGY BEFORE ECONOMY IS SMOKING RUIN

Terry McCrann says the Prime Minister can't keep these coronavirus bans for long: "The idea that the economy can go into ‘hibernation’ – the word seems to have been marketed first by the prime minister... – for six months is very, very disturbing... [It] would utterly and irreparably destroy Australian economic functionality." An exit strategy now. 

Well, the problem has been festering well before COVID-19 arrived.  John Howard for efficiency and economic rational reasons let the stockpiles of necessary emergency goods and services to diminish simply because they weren't going to be used. Rudd tried to raise them again and battle climate change and we saw what happened to him and the Pink Bats Disaster the LNP cried back then. When Rudd admitted and apologised for the mistake in execution he was crucified. Yes in hindsight compared with what the LNP has done in depleting emergency goods and services it was little more than a blip. Theirs is a total inexcusable disaster which we are paying for now and a strategy that has locked us into what we are doing now. 

We are trying to ensure our medical systems can cope. We aren't Taiwan Bolt's fantasy or Sth Korea they were prepared for a crisis. Trump in his ignorance was right when he said America wasn't Seoul a city of 38 million but only city 10 mill but he was right it's not America and not underprepared either. Each geographic has a different need and accordingly a different exit strategy available to them. Ours first is to ensure an underequipped nation doesn't allow the virus to take over. That alone is why its going to take time and each individual has to pay because money wasn't spent these past 8 years on any preparation. It's why we are currently living our "exit" strategy and the government says we "all" have to pay. However, it's time the profit takers over this period face up. Those that made more than 3% and others whose wages lagged. The Oligarchs and people like Bolt who did their bidding Putin right make them pay and distribute the cost of this systemic fuck up fairly.
