'Nothing is shut down': Trump minimises coronavirus impact as markets tumble
- That, and the Fake News, is the reason for the market drop!"... Trump
- Experts are overreacting Trump knows best according to, Trump
- He told America there were enough testing kits
As the markets plunged, US President Donald Trump again sought to minimise the seriousness of the coronavirus, blaming the "fake news" media for spreading panic and touting the consumer benefits of lower gas prices. The virus may have been triggered a downturn in a market that was systemically hollow in the first place. A market that was ready to collapse only being propped up by next to zero interest rates and debt. The wealthy are again calling for protection as they did during the GFC, and banks are being tested. The Capitalist markets of the world are crying "Stimulus" Stimulus" what they are crying out is for "help"! However, not help for everyone, only shareholder benefit at the expense of the majority. Helping the banks and the wealthy does nothing for the global or national economies. It merely delays the inevitable and during the delay fortifies some rich and bankrupts others, and Trump has proved that six times already. Listen to his cry for "stimulus" and the promise of nothing more. Listen to Bernie. He's for America, not just the establishment. (ODT)
However
Health experts say they expect the number of confirmed cases in the US to climb rapidly as testing kits become more readily available.

WHY CHRIS HIGGINS PROVES PANIC IS DUMB
Don't freak about the coronavirus. Look at Dr Chris Higgins, dad of pop star Missy. He's been vilified by Victoria's Health Minister for treating patients while sick, but what he shows is that symptoms can be so very slight that you'd hardly know you were sick - which is why the death toll has been exaggerated. My editorial from The Bolt Report.
LABOUR DUMPS TREVOR PHILLIPS: SILENCING DISSENT ON TOXIC MULTICULTURALISM
Sick. Trevor Phillips, former head of Britain's Equality and Human Rights Commission, has been suspended by the Labour Party for "Islamophobia". Brendan O'Neill: "[It] confirms... Labour right now has no intention whatsoever of recommitting itself to the values of community, solidarity and nationhood."
DAISY COUSENS ON THE PANIC, AND THE CENSORS ON THE GUARDIAN
What's been trending on social media: Australians behaving badly in the coronavirus panic. I talk about with Daisy Cousens - and also discuss the astonishing attempt by more than 330 Guardian employees to stifle debate on their own newspaper. From The Bolt Report.
