It seems to me the Netherlands has a far more rational approach that attacks the issue of healthcare delivery without shutting down the entire economic system of labour, small business, the work force. It accepts the virus is with us and mobilises to deliver healthcare & protection from the bottom up not the top down. It takes the scientific knowledge we have and unlike Italy chooses to protect the elderly babies and those with preexisting conditions not refusing them treatment. It allows no encourages natural immunity to grow and lives least disrupted.
Currently completely shutting down of a country invites economic disruption and a ticket for the most powerful to become even more powerful post-Covid-19 as unemployment and poverty will be the norm given average household and labourers debt is the greatest it has ever been historically. We already know who the current governments are calling to bail out just listen to Trump his hotels and golf courses "tourism" will be the priority which he says the government will save. (ODT)

In remarks that make him the first world leader to publicly back the herd immunity theory, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said a mass lockdown was not feasible and the country had instead opted for a plan that included "controlled distribution" of COVID-19 "among groups that are least at risk".
