Regulators expect Google and Facebook to sue the Government over a looming “mates-deal” to protect Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp and Nine Entertainment from the competition. Taxpayers will be on the hook.
Murdoch Media is certainly trying to sell the idea of "herd immunity" that only the elderly and those with preconditions need protecting. They happily ignore the fact of the social metrics involved that make people more vulnerable. The opportunity to avoid COVID-19 is not shared equally throughout our social system or the patterns of behaviours and relationships. We've seen clusters in hospitals, prisons, mental institutions, detention centres, among the homeless, Addicts and others. Covid-19 targets the immune-deficient if one gives a little thought to who they are and what it means to lack immunity one realises that its lack of resilience dues to social inequalities and not just biology but a social condition. One that requires more considerable social changes that conservatives would be prepared to accept. So the urgency is to return to the past as quickly as possible and ignore essential progress or any significant effort of equalising social change.

NEWSPOLL: CREATING A LABOR CORONAVIRUS STATE DOESN'T HURT LABOR
Turning Australia into a massive Leftist state in response to the coronavirus panic, which includes putting 6 million Australians on welfare, isn't making voters conclude that Labor is a threat: "The contest between the Coalition and Labor is tightening, bringing the parties back to a deadlock [on Newspoll] of 50-50."

Bolt's language shows just how un-Australian his opinions & News Corp's and the IPA are. Our government is turning us into a "Massive Leftist State". Putting " people on welfare " and not Caring for people in need, the productive engine of the country labour is not a " threat" but needs protection.
Government isn't a "contest" it must serve all not merely to win control over opposing interests. All of this shows in Bolt's mind's eye Australia is divided and that his "team" or "tribe is currently the 1% minority that feels under threat when we all do. News Corp pays no tax, in fact, some 700 corporations or over 30% of those he supports don't. Yet laws have been changed recently to protect his Murdoch owned global organisation from whales like Google and Facebook.
There is not a skerrick of 'we' in Bolt's "them vs us" sentiment and he's one of us. Unless of course, Bolt's a shareholder. He rails against Multiculturalism politically weaponising it to maintain a cultural divide. Rather than acknowledging that it has served us well and has been something we are all proud of he's the son of migrants in opposition to it.
Bolt lives a self-chosen isolated existence doesn't holiday here and dreams of retiring to a massively more socialist country than Australia. He advocates Australia should be as remote as he is from the region and planet. Despite the fact, the human race is suffering from a virus we know little about, but Bolt says he knows a lot.
However, News Corps own polling shows just how little impact his, Ch9, and 2GBs have on Australians despite the fact when combined the loudest in the country.
Someone has a "lunatic theory" about Andrew Bolt That's what Trump says. That alone says more about the egocentric non-listener Andrew Bolt than it does Malcolm Turnbull. The term Andrew Bolt as used by Malcolm Turnbull is a synonym, a substitute for the Murdoch's Corporation and it's various media companies in this country. Bolt is simply a parasite feeding off the whale. Bolt's history has been a 30-year feed atypical of any journalist's career in the industry and still just a servant. In fact, Murdoch has been ridding his organisation of investigative journalists for years and holding on to Churnalists, which is a closer description of what Bolt does. Unoriginality is his expertise. What would he do without the ABC?
Turnbull was a genuine working-class boy who became aggressively socially mobile via education and his entrepreneurial spirit First as a barrister and then business mogul. He actually built new businesses and went on to public service. Andrew Bolt had only one thing in common their marriages enhanced their social mobility.
In the case of Andrew Bolt, it was a significant factor for Turnbull just one. Bolt's has been a servitude ride on the Murdoch tsunami for 30 years. Other than the Murdoch's themselves has there ever been anyone else? All in sync with the business but not with Australia.
Turnbull's biggest mistake was believing Howard's LNP was a broad church, but it was quite the opposite with the coming of Abbott so much less than the party and even the Warringah educated and wealthy gave him the boot. Yes, Turnbull found himself in a space where his ambition for public service to a common good was reduced to a continuous schoolyard battle for power and for its own sake backed by outside interests. Maybe Turnbull was a round peg, a naive peg believing the Liberal Party was welcome to all. However, he was never just a millionaire working for a billionaire like Andrew Bolt is.
