Fighting Fake News with REAL, 7/9/20; Spotless Workers were truley Spotless.Sky News total filth; Dan Andrews up Front; Keating's bright spot

Victorian Premier Dan Andrews says he can no longer ignore the sheer volume and veracity of research that has been compiled by the state’s conspiracy theorists, and has consequently decided to end all lockdown restrictions immediately.

Andrews Bows To Overwhelming Weight Of Evidence From Protesters And Cancels Lockdown | The Shovel

What Sky News pundits don’t report the Workers Strike strike at Spotless (ODT)
At the Spotless Laundry in Melbourne’s southeast, employers demanded that work continue despite escalating numbers of COVID-19 cases. The workers refused to allow the company’s profit to be placed above their safety — and won.

Melbourne’s Spotless Laundry Workers Went on Strike to Stop COVID-19

If one thinks about it there were more Spotless workers on strike for Dan Andrews than there were demonstrators against but where was the frenzied media? What was missing were police on horseback strikebreakers and cameramen running everywhere reprotinthe excitement. This was deemed unnewsworthy to the likes of Sky News, Ch9 and the MSM.

On Saturday, July 25, the workers at Spotless were informed of a positive case. Instead of implementing controls to stop the virus, management insisted on keeping the site open. By Wednesday, July 29, there were two additional cases and a total of three sick workers. It was at this point that the predominantly migrant workforce took matters into their own hands, ceasing work and refusing to return until all workers had been stood down with pay, so they could be tested.
The walkout lasted two days. It was a challenge to all employers who would dare to place profitability over the health of their workforce, and an act of defiance against insecure working conditions that added to the workers’ vulnerability. After two days, Spotless backed down, conceding to the workers’ demands.

Workers at Melbourne’s Toll Warehouse Unite Against COVID-19

When managers at a major retail warehouse in Melbourne concealed information on the spread of COVID-19 among the workforce, casual and permanent workers united to walk off the job. The result was a powerful victory in the fight against unsafe conditions.

Yet another Demonstration of Workers striking against Covid-19 and for Dan unreported in any of our MSM media.

What Covid Plan? Paul Keating seizes on the “good news” but Australia’s economy is changing for good – Michael West

Coronavirus, Covid-19, GDP, economy

Paul Keating was on Fran Kelly’s ABC radio show on Friday. He’d picked up a peculiar thing from the GDP release. The headline number was horrific. Australia’s economic growth had shrunk by 7%, the largest drop on record, wiping out four years of growth and sinking the nation, officially, into its first recession in 29 years. Keating seized on the bright spot though, or at least what he thought was a bright spot. Buried in the National Accounts data and apparently picked up by nobody, yet, were the figures for GDP per hour worked. It was an increase. Yes, an increase, and not a trifling increase either. Growth in GDP per hour worked was up from 0.6% – the average over four previous quarters – to 4.1%. It represents a fantastical rise in productivity – a seven-fold surge in productivity. Businesses have shed millions of workers so wage costs plummeted by 9.3% and wages are usually the highest cost in a business.

FAKE NEWS

DANIEL ANDREWS CLAIMS DATA DRIVES VIRUS BANS. BUT THEY'RE WORLD'S WORST

COLUMN Daniel Andrews claims his brutal lockdown of Victoria – with police arresting even grannies on park benches – is driven by “the very best medical advice”.So why is his lockdown tougher than you'll see in any other state or country? Is Victoria's medical advice better that found anywhere else?

Amazing how Andrew Bolt blows up individuals cases to be representative of martyrs of an oppressive state that's not acting in the interests of the common good Public Health. A State in the grips of Charleton 'experts' who know less than Andrew Bolt on epidemiology and it's strategies. When it came to Ebola Bolt simply said shut the gates let others worry about it fuck the Africans.
If there is any science in his argument it's fiction. The fact is he never mentions the greater number of incidents of peaceful but organized strikes 'for' or even inspite of Dan Andrews that have taken place around the state calling for stricter measures against Covid-19. Measures employers disregard whose only focus is on profit.
Like Trump Bolt appears to be inciting further actions and demonstrations against Andrews while at the same time denying that's what he's doing. It's what Bolt does incite division and violence in plain sight with advice from Murdoch's legal team. The police should turn the prick who obeys all of Andrew's edicts except his mouth into a human headline.
What does Andrew Bolt's pro-life mate think? Hard questions needed on cost of keeping all Covid patients alive, says Tony Abbott – video
Apparently left to die alone without family no matter your life's contribution makes economic sense.  I'd say we are lucky not to have Abbott as our leader.

DAN ANDREWS IS TOUGHER THAN BEREJIKLIAN AND PALASCCZUK. WHY?

COLUMN Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has guaranteed that Victoria will be shut down for another six weeks at least. In fact, it will probably be much longer. For some bizarre reason, he's set standards for reopening the economy that even NSW and Queensland would not meet. Why?

China has had the greatest success in Covid-19 suppression But Bolt would have us believe their execution was the world's worst. Their economy has recovered and is on the rise once more. Note Bolt doesn't mention who it is we should look to as a path to take that has had greater success. Victoria's economy isn't dragging the nations down it's simply not saving it as it once was and Canberra is flustered. However, it is if one considers that its our relationship with China that keeps Canberra afloat.

It doesn't sound as if Andrew Bolt has a grip on things not as a journalist anyway. All-State Premiers W.A, Qld, and Vic are out of step and won't be pushed by Canberra into a series of rolling yo-yo lockdowns as is currently happening in the Trumpland Republican States. Morrison like Trump is saying we have won the war which Andrews denies just battles. Bolt and Morrison seem to be on the same page"Morrison's words to Parliament last Tuesday, when he said: "Victoria has turned the corner and we, together with the Victorian Government, are planning to reopen Melbourne and reopen Victoria."
Bolt saying Andrews is going to take it past Xmas which certainly isn't the case. In the meantime workers around Victoria are doing it for themselves and forcing employers to act responsibly when they're not. Bolt makes no mention of the cavalier attitudes that have brought about strikes.
Victorians are aware of the data and show the lockdowns while disappointing can stay and it's hands-off Bolt until we have suppressed the virus.  Accusations of Andrews's "autocracy" "fascism" and "despotic "rule is just a verbal smokescreen for the fact we realise Dan's efforts are for all of us and not like Bolt's cries which is just for some. We repetitiously hear Bolt's solution as being the most simple and it is very simple as he hasn't produced a single convincing argument where it's been executed and worked. We know lockdowns do. A single comparison might help Bolt if he'd had one to offer.
However, any operation needs a united front and the Morrison's LNP government have already withdrawn its support in supplementing those worst affected. Everything done in execution has been open to corruption because money is rarely given directly to those that needed it.
