‘No doubt’ the destinations for cut-price airfares had ‘political considerations’

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the cut-price airline ticket scheme from the federal government was a “necessary evil” but there is no doubt there were “political considerations”. “They say they’ve done it because they’ve looked at the demand and whether there needs to be more demand but I’d say it’s about politics,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. Mr Clennell also said there was doubt as to whether the airlines could be relied upon to pass on the fares and said it was akin to a Boxing Day. “They say it’s half price but is it really half price or did they jack it up before they made it half price?” 

Firstly it's illegal. Yes, it's against the law to "jack" up and then discount the price. The ACCC should be watching. However, what fails to be mentioned here however is the destinations have been chosen by the government. Closer examination shows the 14 destinations applicable are marginal seats and/or LNP safe seats. As far as Victoria is concerned only  Fox's Avalon stands to benefit as a destination,ensuring passengers will be paying full price to get to Melbourne. Should we have expected any more from captain Morrison?

 

We may soon be in ‘grave danger’ from China with Biden in charge: Bolt

Since Joe Biden replaced Donald Trump as president of the United States, China has “stepped up” what it seems are “preparations for war,” according to Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “It’s almost as if it smells a weakness,” Mr Bolt said. “Yesterday President Xi told his military: be prepared for ‘complex and difficult’ situations”. “Last week his defence minister said China must comprehensively improve military training and preparedness for battle”. “The great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is at a critical stage.” To ignore these warnings and “dismiss them as just bluster” would be a “very big mistake”, according to Mr Bolt. “In six years there could be a war just to our north. China versus Taiwan, possibly with the US,” he said. “Do we look remotely ready for any war? “You might ask, why would China think that Joe Biden is too weak for them to worry much about? “And I’d say to you, you are talking about what you can see too – a very old man who cannot even remember the name of his own defence secretary.” Mr Bolt said Donald Trump was replaced by a president who “China figures is much much weaker”. “And the result: we may soon be in very grave danger.” 

 

Fifty days after being sworn into office, President Joe Biden is receiving high marks from a majority of the U.S. populace.

Polling from Pew Research Center shows that 54 percent of Americans approve of the way Biden has handled his job in the White House so far, with 42 percent disapproving.

The poll also gauged the public’s views of Biden on a number of issues, with a majority of Americans expressing confidence in his leadership on the economy (56 percent), immigration (53 percent) and foreign policy (56 percent).

 Bolt bags Biden America doesn't

Is Bolt really deflecting blame away from himself and News Corp? Australia and China couldn't be more at loggerheads than they are now. Then along came Biden who Bolt wants to blame for the the shit storm started years ago.

 China stepped up its war with Murdoch years ago and kicked him out. News Corp has been poking the dragon ever since despite China asking 77% of Australia's print media and Sky to cease and desist. The LNP government have been dependent on Murdoch for their right to rule particularly since Abbott. As a result our Agriculture, Education,Mining and Victoria's Belt road agreement cancelled.  Industries, and people have suffered with News Corp left war mongering.

History tells us that China has the biggest "land" army in the world deployed to do many things but has no history of invading nations. The US has the biggest technological hardware and has used it and has military bases in 150 countries many in which they aren't welcome. They have nuked civilian populations, China hasn't. America and Australia attacked Vietnam justified by a Bolt like fake Domino theory and allowed 1million Indonesians to be slaughtered because it was of political advantage to the LNP. Andrew Bolt in 2021 is doing much the same. He's certainly not crying "ban the bomb" he wants to get them. Attacking Biden and Boosting Trump just shows the intended divisiveness of News Corp which frankly hasn't changed since Menzies and "reds under our beds" and the Domino Theory.

China has invested heavily globally in their Belt Road Initiative. Yes,invested billions and Bolt suggests they are about to throw that investment away for WW3. "Like Hitler" says Bolt who didn't invest a cent in anyone. Remember when Bolt regarded Trump as an idiot/no hoper in 2016 he is now calling that idiot Caesar. Trump became that President nobody could trust as an ally is Bolt's white knight cast out by an ignorant majority who elected Biden because they couldn't trust Trump.  Today 45% of America's staunchest right-wingers at CPAC said they wouldn't vote for Trump again. The Republican Part has shrunk and Bolt's ever so loyal Trump threatens to sue them.

Can you believe the trash Bolt puts out? Hasn't Bolt been allowed to do more than enough damage to our relationship with China? Why is he continuing Murdoch's personal war with China today of all days? It's his birthday gift to Rupert Murdoch who turns 90 and Andrew Bolt is desperately trying to gain his attention?
