Proposal for sexual consent app is the ‘wackiest, zaniest intrusion’

NSW One Nation Leader Mark Latham says the proposal for a sexual consent app is the “wackiest, zaniest intrusion” of government power. The suggestion was put forward by NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller who touted the app as a mechanism which could help combat sexual assault by allowing users to send and receive requests. “To make it worse, Mick Fuller has said all this data will be held by a private company,” Mr Latham told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “So great news for the Chinese, I suppose great news for the extortion industry as well.” 

 Absolutely nothing original is being detailed here by Bolt. The Bolt Report is just an echo chamber for what has already been said by everybody today. It make no attempt to address the systemic nature of women's oppression.  Even Fuller had doubts as to whether or not an app it was an appropriately useful idea. 

Bolt and Latham are merely an echo chamber for the works and responses of others. They don't want to change the system they simply want women to behave. They offered the same criticism but no solution. Women should simply "toughen up". The problem remains when 15,000 cases are reported annually and only 2% are successfully prosecuted it shows  the legal system is broken. When women remain the victims of domestic violence  and haven't the financial means to escape it the system is broken. They are prisoners to sthe social structures in place thet have benefited men only.

Latham and Bolt irrationally drift away from the  the issue of women and draw a long bow about extortion and China. We know women won't be blackmailed they don't have the money. China certainl discounts 50% of people in Western countries like Australia because they already know women in power are rare as hens teeth. If men were as dumb as Bolt and Latham well then we certainly have nothing to worry about.

 

This ‘victim culture’ is now a ‘real danger’ for women

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says this “victim culture” is a real danger for women as it risks making them look weak and men look the stronger sex. “This victimhood stuff is, in fact, reinforcing exactly the patriarchal society that feminists claim has held women down,” Mr Bolt said. “Now you’ve got to be clear, I actually support women like Brittany Higgins speaking up and going to police if they have been raped, allegedly in this case. “I do think you should stand up to serious stuff like that, really serious, of course you should. “And I think women should fight sexists. Fight them and not put up with that sort of rubbish for a second”. “But there is a real danger with the extreme victimhood that we saw preached at the women's march on Monday, a desperate searching for offence that made women seem so much more fragile and I have to say at times, even irrational”. 

When one speaks of rationality Bolt is the irrational misogynist claiming women who protest appear weak, his irrationality he's denying they are in reality. He's trying to deny men hold power but in fact admitting they are the stronger sex. However not for any physical reasons but systemic and socially created ones handed down over the centuries and today nol longer accepted as normal by women. Note Bolt's pity and sorrow offers absolutely no solution and saying protest achieves nothing is simply dumb. It achieves attention and it the attention was worldwide Apparently Gandhi, Martin Luther King must have also shown their weakness and achieved nothing. That makes Bolt seem even dumber and uneducated. But we have known that for some time his privilege is Murdoch dependent. The likelihood of Bolt having that privilege if Murdoch was a woman would be extremely slim. The protesting women didn't show weakness. The only weakness shown was that of the LNP leadership  and Scott Morrison in particular.

Remember when Bolt protested that Miranda Devine was invading space he deserved  on the Steve Price show when Price was on holiday. Well Bolt certainly was showing just how weak and irrational he was because he backed down. Women didn't back down in any of the 45 protest locations around the country. Remember when his ex fiance threatened to sue him for defamation Bolt showed strength didn't he? He backed down.

Yesterday Bolt and Dean were whiteanting the March4Justice implying all protests like that were a Woke. A form of reverse female male-hate merely proving and amplifying they are the weaker sex. The reality is they aren't they are showing insight into reality and they are pissed. The weakness we see is in the male leadership of this country because they need to listen and address the concerns of 50% of the voters of this nation. Bolt's just gaslighting the issue and not smartly. What Bolt can't wrap his head around is that Sexual violence a bloke problem: Minister

 

Trend of declining birthrates will be ‘very difficult to reverse’

Emeritus Professor William Reville says the decline in birthrates worldwide is something which scientists are “only beginning to understand” now. “The extent of the decline in population is pretty much jaw dropping and its going to start in 2064 and the decline will continue up beyond 2100, and we know when trends like this set in it’s very, very difficult to reverse them,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. Professor Reville said the implications of declining birthrates should be pondered more and a higher population is “actually not that bad for the environment”. “There’s very strong evidence that large numbers in population are a good thing, they do press on the environment but humans are clever animals and are able to come up with technological solutions to ameliorate or to sort out these matter 

 Technology is only part of the solution who owns it has been the problem.Marx thought so too. Our very notions on who owns our resources and how they are distributed and shared will have to change not just technology. Whether or not the population grows or not is a far minor issue.

 Equality and fairness will be forced on us because the consequences of the current contradictions in Capitalism has been an increasing gap between those that have and those that haven't. The search for and how how we divide our resources has only been the destruction of the planet's ecology and climate in the form of of a race for wealth control.  The rate at which flora and fauna and our biodiversity is currently becoming extinct is indicative that change is necessary. Forests are disappearing, clean water is becoming scarcer, and the atmosphere more polluted the demands are forcing corrective change but unfortunately at a snails pace.

 Andrew Bolt preaches resistance to that change largely because it means loss of privilege for those that have accumulated an abundance of wealth without a history of work. Bolt produces absolutely unessential labor. However he is already losing, not just the battle but, the economic, financial, and political support for resistance and is simply being left behind  as irrelevant and ignored. The Murdoch's have moved away from entertainment are fighting desperately to maintain a grip on influence not via news but opinion and have now turned their sights on gambling.

 So much so Bolt's work has seen personal life effected not by choice. He sent his daughter overseas to study so she has a degree of anonymity. He has a life of security and as a consequence isn't seen among the general public. He's choices have imprisoned him. He dreams of retirement in Amsterdam. A city more socialist left, more overcrowded, more multicultural, than Melbourne why? Amsterdam  has all  the things he complains of  squared except for anonymity. Bolt's not shy he's always been avaricious but with the unessential work  he does comes paranoia and not any public accreditation. A dysfunctional human condition brought on by what he does. To be a Bolt these days requires a change away from the essential social and humane human condition. A change away from the social, physical and mental. 

‘Perplexing’ wage support going to big business rather than small business

Nationals Senator Matt Canavan says he finds it “perplexing” the ongoing wage support for airline workers is going to big businesses like Qantas instead of small businesses such as travel agents. Over 8,000 airline employees are set to receive $500 a week in wage support after JobKeeper ends this month. “It’s obviously lucky for those workers, but I know there’s a lot of small businesses out there desperate to keep their workers and worried about having to let them go in the weeks ahead,” Mr Canavan told Sky News host Alan Jones. “The question here is why is this assistance going to a big business in Qantas, but not to small business like travel agents? “I find this perplexing.” 

 There is nothing perplexing in seeming to do things and making political announcements. The easiest way is the the best as far a politicians are concerned because execution has a myriad of dangers for politicians like Morrison. Don't sweat the small stuff just announce the big.

What's perplexing is that the top corporations in Australia were making pre Covid profits in the second half of 2020 and coping a massive JobKeeper subs and bonuses as well from Morrison. The majority won't give back that sugar hit. More perplexing Australia is among the only country that never bothered keeping a check or being transparent in fact the LNP  ensured it was all kept secret. Canavan is simply playing Nat/Liberal politics as the coalition partners haven't been too friendly recently and the Liberals have said they will challenge Nat seats in an election.

However the Nationals aren't pure either. Barnaby Joyce paid $80 mill to Angus Taylor's mates for water he could have got for  nothing.  What amazes me is the level of corruption and theft involved it's no longer small change but billions.It's not hard to see why in the past 8 years the LNP has driven Australia lower on the global corruption index.
