The Victorian Government has used despicable scaremongering to frighten Victoria into accepting a longer shutdown caused by its incompetence. There is actually no evidence that this is a "beast" of a virus strain that's infecting people like never before.

It might well be argued that Andrew Bolt is inciting a coup against the Vic government. When we see anti-vaxxers and anti- maskers  protesting, getting arrested while he's spurring them on much like Trump did on Jan 6th. If they can be charged why can't he?

One hand 5 fingers every finger is different that applies to the variants of Covid-19. The UK is battening the hatches for the new incoming Indian/Nepali variant with greater border restrictions. In the meantime Andrew Bolt is calling in his wisdom that we not just loosen ours but "open up" Victoria. Mind you he has no basis on which to make those demands,other than Australia hasn't suffered like other nations, and he then thinks we should.

There is currently a variant in Victoria that is spreading 50% faster that previous ones experienced. How do we know? Because when there's been a mix of variants in any one place the UK, India US the spread on some is witnessed to be greater and faster. Bolt nevertheless claims that those observation are "unscientific". The fact that there have been no clinical tests done doesn't make those observations any less true. It simply makes Andrew Bolt the accelerator of Fake News, misinformation and an inciter of a coup against our  public health system and government mandates. Meanwhile he happily watches in safe isolation vaccinated his sucker followers cop $1650 fines and and get the sack.
