It seems we will be buying the subs Americans no longer want after they have built new ones for themselves. It sounds more a scam to buy their hand-me downs, create bases and rent their skilled personnel making us America's new Philippines in the Pacific and a neuclear target to boot. AUKUS seems a done deal. A deal creating little or no industrial benefits for us. Will Newcastle be the new Subic Bay? The American R&R city, nuclear sub base and target? The Philippines were paid for their service with massive unwanted social consequences it seems we will be paying for that American privilege too.
