In 2013 we saw him apologising to Pauline having dragged the LNP to a neo-Fascist position by those who gathered in the Monkeypod Room in Canberra intent on dragging the party further right. Unfortunately the Australia ALP took up the position of what once was regarded as the center right. A movement started by Hawke and Keating.
Today we are witnessing not a polarisation of left and right but an increasing radicalisation of the right. The White Christian Right and associated think tanks like the IPA now dominate and are the influencers of the Australian LNP with Murdoch's News Corp their mgaphone. No such opposing position can be seen on the left despite the right -wing media particularly Sky News screaming about a ghost called ANTIFA.
The LNP, IPA and News Corp are fascists happy to be labelled neoliberal and luckily for Australia it was their once Menzies Liberals that opposed them in the last Federal election and will again do it in the up and coming Victorian one.
Nevertheless the trend is clear with Dutton running to America, Morrison's BFF s Anon and he taking up a position on the board of the IDU International Democrat Union " group has lurched to the hard right, affiliating with populist and Christian anti-immigration parties in Europe." An organisation had "shifted to the intolerant far right". An organisation with ties to Hungary autocrat Viktor Orban, whose success in consolidating
power in the country and pushing right-wing and race-based polices has
earned him a kind of stardom in certain conservative circles. The
populist leader has spoken out against "race-mixing" and said culturally
diverse countries are "not real nations".
Mr Morrison nevertheless while still a member of Our LNP has" reportedly declined to answer questions about his advisory role with the organisation."

The prime minister is in hock to a group of rightwing lobbyists who are themselves indebted to oligarchs and corporations.
Who chose Liz Truss? Conservative party members, of course. Who are they? Disproportionately rich, white, older men living in the south of England. But there are some members whose profile we have no means of knowing. They don’t live in the UK, have never been residents or citizens here and have no right to vote in our elections. Astonishingly, since 2018 these foreign members have been permitted to determine who the UK prime minister should be.
Most former prime ministers made it back to Canberra for the tribute. Scott Morrison, John Howard and Paul Keating were all there. There were apologies of absence from Kevin Rudd and Malcolm Turnbull who are in New York, and Julia Gillard in London.
So where was Australia’s arch monarchist Tony Abbott? The man who destroyed his whole prime ministership over an attempt to give Prince Philip a knighthood appeared to have skipped Thursday’s solemnities.

Putin’s Supporters running from the front
The son of a top Kremlin official revealed in a prank call that he had no intention of being called up for Vladimir Putin’s war mobilisation.
Nikolay Peskov, 32, son of the president’s spin-doctor and war spokesman Dmitry Peskov, believed he was talking to a military call-up officer.
He fell for the phone sting and made clear he would pull strings in the Kremlin so he did not have to obey the mobilisation order.
The call evidently showed that the entitled sons of the Russian political elite do not expect to be sent to the front, unlike hundreds of thousands of other Russians from ordinary backgrounds who will get no exemptions.
