Fighting Fake News with REAL, 17/2/23, We are the Nuclear Military Base in the Pacific, Trust is just another word the powerful want to exclusively own;

 The US is planning to build dedicated facilities for up to six B-52 bombers, pictured, at the Tindal air base, south of Darwin.

The Australian public would never be informed whether such aircraft are carrying nuclear weapons or not under the so-called US policy of “warhead ambiguity”.

US nuclear-armed bomber visits allowed under treaty

All the news that’s fit to disseminate ... why not one body to oversee journalism on all media platforms?

Amazing, but not surprising that The Age is found to be  trying to "left-wash" itself. Murdoch set up Fox News branding himself as "fair and balanced" when he wasn't. Costello has altered Fairfax Media accordingly. Because he's chasing the same market Murdoch has chased and captured here and it's not just readers but the corporate advertisers paying for "influence".

A totally independent broadcaster like the ABC, once was, needs a central role for Australian Democracy to work. Without it we start looking American and Murdoch certainly wants that.

 Australia’s diverse news media do not answer to a single regulator. There’s a model we could follow that would boost faith in journalism.

To build trust in the news, we need a trustworthy watchdog
