Trump haters are attacking democracy

THE protests against Donald Trump are so extreme that it’s clear what’s got many on the Left so mad. It’s democracy. They hate it. This is the most frightening thing about the campaign to stop the new US President from doing just what voters elected him to do.  

The problem with Bolts brain he's not only confused but it doesn't seem to work. It's a carbon copy of  Trump's and yes there is undeniably more going on than he can see.. " It’s perfectly fine for people to protest against what Trump is doing, and many Trump haters are doing no more than that, but there is undeniably more going on." Bolt What does he mean?

 "We already know the modern Left hates free speech." Bolt If they do hate it so much why are they exercising that right? Now we see it’s not keen on a free vote, either — if the “wrong” person gets elected. Bolt. Isn't Bolt dribbling from both sides of his mouth if there was a mistake and the "wrong" person was elected the voters are duty bound to point the error out and not just blindly accept it. In fact it's what Trump said he'd do before the election. He'd only accept the outcome of the vote if he won because he believed the Electoral College was a "rigged" system.

However Trump lost the election by 3 million votes and only won in the Electoral College  indicating along with Trump that the vote wasn't all that "free".  So to say as Bolt does that the "the left" are against "free speech" is to suggest would assume "silence". But silence is what Bolt wants which is wrong!!  

 Blind to the fact that citizens are exercising  their right to "free speech".The very existence of  media in a Democracy ought to support that "freedom". However currently some 10 journalists have been arrested and are facing 10 -15 years imprisonment for doing their jobs. In truth the very nature of media in a Democracy is that The Press Shouldn’t Believe Anything The White House Tells Them — Ever

However it's the very opposite of what Andrew Bolt is saying he's complaining in fact about "free speech" and  a "free press" in a Democracy  and doesn't seem to know he's doing it. The thing about the USA is citizens can carry weapons doing it and under Trump Republicans want the right to shoot those declared protesters. Guess Bolt's up for that too here.

Andrew Bolt has indicated Trump is a victim of Malcolm Turnbull. That the unpredictable, violent, explosive, real-estate salesman inexperienced in diplomacy and only experienced in the making and breaking of deals has been made a victim by a cunning and viscious left wing Liberal Government. That Turbull has turned his back on a US relationship thats lasted over 70 years. Bolt isn't an Australian he's not Dutch he's is just a News Corporatarian which has no sovereign loyalties whatsoever.

 When Bolt cries "reverse racism" 7 whites victims for a moment vs 300,000 Indigenous victims for 200 years it becomes the maniacal rantings of  a mad man simply removing history and the context within which all this is occurring. What the US and UK now hope to do is break up the EU to solve their own issues. Basically it seems a mess when one consider California wants to break away from America since Trump.

However Bolt's suggestion that all homeless are really fake and only protesters is simply right wing media in denial of the fact that homlessness in the state is on the increase. Homelessness is a serious problem and is on the increase just because others help to protest the case is no reason to jam ones head up ones A-hole and claim it's simply a manufactured problem

Malcolm Turnbull last night finally admitted he had given the Liberals $1.75 million to help save his government. The bizarre timing of this admission - after months of secrecy - confirms to his dismayed party how  incompetent he is at politics. And it's blown up his come-back speech.

That's all that's really reflected here. Malcom Turnbull and/ or his wife are citizens their donation allowable. Yes it's indicative of the fact that the wealthy can and do donate larger sums if they so wish to Parties. Turnbull isn't News Corp . He's not an Industry Association the only issue here is transparency and the rules that allow or don't allow how donations are made. Is Bolt arguing for a change in rules it doesn't strike me that he is. Are the Conservatives arguing for a change I can't hear them. I do however hear Bill Shorten demanding the rules be changed. It seems Bolt would have preferred Shorten to have won the election but then we have known that because he's been attacking Turnbull harder. Imagine yesterday Trump didn't change his mind on the refugee exchange he was waiting for Turnbull to sign the blank cheque. How twisted is that it was Trumps press office not Trump that made the mistake.

 

 

 

 

 

Changing the date ofs moral Australia Day in not just inconvenient. It's immoral

Greg Sheridan is right - and too many conservatives weak in arguing against changing the date of Australia Day. The change is wrong not just because it will make it harder to recognise Aborigines in the constitution. It is wrong because it's immoral. So why don't they say so?

  The immorality of changing the date of Australia Day is accepting the principle that to invade the territory of other peoples is moral. Indonesia no doubt had every right to take Timor but we as a nation intervened immorally. West Papuans have no right of Independence from Indonesia and on it goes Bolt no acting on principle at all other than "might is right". The historic fact is Invasion Day occurred and it wasn't Australia Day which was Federation. Should we call Australia Day British Liberation Day. Bolt's morality arguments are rather puerile given there wasn't even a constitution written on Australia Day.  Surely fairness is reflected in acknowledging what actually occurred which was white man's ignorance and that correcting that is what unites us.

What a patronizing puppet is Andrew Bolt  in his editorial or eulogy to Ricky Muir. He not only talks about Muir as if he was the mongrel dog that turned out ok but he talks down to his audience yes that audience of conservatives he pretends to respect.

Bolt says he doesn't know of any politicians that would sacrifice themselves for a principle. It's largely because he's blinkered and suffers from tunnel vision. Not even his favorite Australian would do that. 

Well let me tell you who did and you will never hear this from Andrew Bolt When the Tunisian people demanded that women's rights equal to men was written into their constitution the Fundamentalist Government lost their vote dramatically in the parliament so much so there was only 4 votes against the proposal. The President realising he was not the voice of the people  yet a fundamentalist in his beliefs voluntarily resigned. This is what Bolt claims would never be seen to happen in an Islamic country. It's strange Tunisians know more about our culture than we know about theirs why? Because people like Bolt are not only ethnocentric but also believe their culture is the top of the global food chain. It just makes Bolt seem such an ignorant in comparison to those that can think in terms of "we" instead of "me"

Mark Textor the hero of  Tony Abbott's electioneering tactics has been turned into a traitor for telling the party not to put their campaign efforts into Warringah where Abbott has 60% of the vote covered and put their efforts into the marginal seats, that's Bolt logic.

It's exactly why Miranda Devine called him a Delcon preferring to lose not for principle sake but the team and in this case a very divided team. Oh no the return of the threat made after Abbot was chucked the threat that even Bolt said he could start and have a following at the snap of his fingers. Put the word Delcons in front of where Bolt has written Liberals
 and think of the advice John Stone gave Delcons on how to vote.

- The extremely weak mandate for change being asked for by Turnbull could make his post-election government look infuriatingly weak to his supporters, raising the risk of more internal instability.

If we were Germany where the  boards of companies members were required to be 50% workers may be our economy would look as strong and as viable as the German one where workers get paid for a 40 hour week for working 36 hours. An economy where there is a genuine middle class that doesn't need to work a second job in order to make ends meet. An economy that doesn't feel it's in the throws of a class war. No Bolt what we have going here isn't the best of all possible worlds. Bolt the man who thrives on exceptionalism to feed his bigotry and racism and not the general rule of thumb.  Yet he cries foul and bias when the ABC reports on the arson of a  a Mosque for what exceptionalism.  Bolt will let it be known that a rape in the Orkney Isles was committed by a Muslim  rather than reporting the regular random violence in King st Melbourne among good old drunk Australians. He  calls the Melbourne police liars for declaring the Apex gang to be a multiracial gang of kids from Dandenong rather than  ethnic specific group Bolt makes them out to be. However praises them here for declaring the burning of a Mosque wasn't necessarily an action directed at  Islam. However he returns to exceptionalism that the burning of a Mosque  was  really an attack on Christianity not satisfied with the vandalism of a church. Anything concocted to slag off the ABC

Bolt's ethnocentric attitude to what he declares the right of public space to be. is the the right of dominance of Christian Culture. The right to be top dog in an environment where Christianity is fast losing ground to people who no longer believe. Except for evangelistic churches like Hillsong Christianity and church attendance is fast losing ground in Australia to other faiths. If our census questions were arranged in such away that didn't promote Christianity in the first place then the % shown to be Christian would be far less.

Bolt assumes as an agnostic he's still far better off living in a predominantly Christian culture believer or not. He's not a woman for one. Abortion in Tunisia an Islamic country has been legal  since 1973 and with it comes free women's health clinics. It's written into the Tunisian constitution that women have equal rights to men and are paid equally. Furthermore ones sexuality is a private matter in Tunisia. 

Well how often have we heard Andrew Bolt banging on about the benefits of Christianity over Islam with certainty and the knowledge that we are all better off well it seems the women of Tunisia are better off than the women of Australia Mr Bolt. These constitutional guarantees for women were passed by the way under a fundamentalist Islamic government.

Yes ignorance is  very dangerous particularly in the hands of an ethnocentric  broadcaster like Andrew Bolt Islam is the fastest growing religion in Australia and not just because of migration.

Ayaan Hirsi and Ali and Bolt don't know that Tunisia exists.
