Melbourrne yesterday suffered Austtalia's fifth terrorist attack by a Muslim refugee: "A knife-wielding man who launched a deadly attack in Bourke St on Friday is the brother of an accused terrorist alleged to have plotted a mass murder at Federation Square on New Year’s Eve." The killer was born in Somalia.
The 5 attacks by Muslims in Melbourne. Bolt's list actually shows 3 and not all resulted in death. The rest are from NSW and even one of those wasn't declared a terrorist attack Man Monis. All of this in two cities of 10 million people. Of the hundreds of murders, some 238 occurred in 2013/14 were in the main actually committed by Australian Christians and by white men. However homicide rate has seen a massive decline overall so, Bolt's figures do seem more Trump BS than anything to fear and make ASIO boss's Duncan Lewis's remarks seem more than sensible. Bolt's accusations are more to fear than reality itself.
If one researched the homicides committed by Dutch immigrants to Australia one might just find they are just as high if not higher than the nationalities Bolt likes to disparage and cobble together under a single religion. If one takes the high rate of homicide among Indigenous Australians and their religion which Bolt never really mentions it's Christian oops. Even by the narrowest of definitions which Bolt loves to use it shows IS didn't claim responsibility for all the events he attributes them as their greatest Australian promoter.
Bolt's like a fish out of water struggling to survive the way he applies statistics to defend his racist and ethnocentric accusations and generalisations.
By the way, since Trump came to power in the USA gun-related deaths by white right-wing Christian males Bolt's personal cohort have escalated 800% far outnumbering any of those committed by American Muslims.
Yet hysterically we see Jason Wood Liberal MP calling for internment powers to control anyone he regards or Bolt regards as "suspicious". Maybe anonymous accusation boxes on street corners are the next cry we'll hear from these wannabe Christian Inquisitors.

Jun 20, 2017 - The national homicide rate has decreased from 1.8 per 100,000 people in 1989-90 to 1 per 100,000 in 2013-14. For Indigenous people, the homicide rate was much higher at 4.9 per 100,000 in 2013-14. The Northern Territory had the highest homicide rate in Australia, with 6.5 per 100,000 for 2013-14.

Nizamdeen was not released because he was proven innocent. He was released because the system could not prove him guilty. This is the logic of how counter-terrorism policing and the law works against Muslims and people of colour who are policed as suspect communities.
Nizamdeen was charged with making a document connected to the preparation of a terrorist act. The sole piece of evidence was a notebook found in his workplace desk at the University of New South Wales. Despite denying the handwriting in the notebook was his, and the fact Nizamdeen had not used the office space for a month, he was arrested, deprived of access to a lawyer for six days and denied communication with his family for a month.
He was also classified as an “AA extreme high risk restricted” inmate, the highest classification under NSW’s corrective services system.
Mick Sheehy, NSW police’s detective acting superintendent, told the media that Nizamdeen had “affiliated” with ISIS, but less than two months later, the charges were dropped.
