IPSOS poll - stunning Abbott recovery to just 49 to 51 against
If the latest IPSOS poll can be believed. The Abbott government has narrowed the gap 49:51 It's the closest the coalitions been since October last year.
However it's not all good news for Abbott with Turnbull and Bishop both rating higher as preferred Liberal leader. Mr Turnball has a 20% lead and Bishop 7%. Shorten is still preferred PM 39:44%
Bolt claims Abbott has a life line. Only a superficial reading can support this conclusion. Some believe the rise is not because of Abbott but the anticipaion of a change of leader. Any claim that Abbott might be able to recover also overlooks the big historical finding of today's poll. Abbott is seen to be worse than Gillard in 2011. Todays poll sees him as less competent and less trustworthy.
Bolt's tack on this poll is a solo flight of imagination so much so he even Islamises his industry showing just how racist he is.
"The public could be onto the media jihad against Abbott and may now be siding against the media loud mouths and bullies, just as they did when the media tried to ram a republic down their throats."
Nevertheless he remains on his hands and knees begging the Liberal party for time,an indication he really doesn't believe in anything he has said.
"Demand the media call off the jihad. Call them, write, agitate. Fight back against the media putsch."
The only thing one can tell Bolt is to stop wailing like a stuck pig it does nothing to enhance Abbott's situation. The racist metaphors he uses just emphasises how divisive Abbott and his supporters are as far as this country is concerned.Bolt's histrionics makes his presence in the industry a farce.
