This rhetorical question coming out of the mouth of a degenerate racist hypocrite reveals the mind of a true ignorant who doesn't forgive anyone left for their past no matter how long ago. When the law prosecutes the disadvantaged, it's correct. When it prosecutes Bolt, the law is at fault. In fact, he broadcasts the past sins to disparage anyone seeming their past becomes his debating tool. Remember Zacky Mallah he asked Steve Ciobo a reasoned question on the ABC's Q&A. Bolt dragged him down to size, didn't he? What about the guy on Welfare 42 who had a drug offence when he was 25 Bolt did the same to bring his 20-year-old past into focus as if it were a key reason he had no right to be heard. His history was raised to declare him an irrelevant deplorable. People's past used to denigrate is a common Andrew Bolt tactic, and he has the tools and resources at hand to do it.
What Bolt can't get through his head is we all carry with us the internalised social psychology of the societies in which we were raised along with our own individual psyches.  In societies with a history of racism seems the norm. We are all to some degree racist and those with privilege more so as they lend cultural support to defend those social structures and institutions support that privilege which is socially constructed and not natural. Those that recognise that racist behaviour construction and trend tend to be those most affected.
Not everybody is overtly racist all of the time even Bolt after all he told us he once had an Aboriginal friend, wow! But boy does his racism show in his defence of KAK and his attempted defence Neeson who recognised his own.  Tarring Australia Day protesters with the brush of child molesters Kennerly was at that moment a classic racist and began digging her self deeper with every word of denial. So was Liam Neeson but he has the intelligence to recognise his folly and why? Neeson scratched the surface and recognised it for what it was. Bolt, on the other hand, refuses to recognise his bigotry continues to try to convince us of reverse racism and that he's actually the victim. Any anger shown to racists and the structured history of their mindset is flipped and called racist. It's what makes Bolt grossly ignorant and it compounds his racist bigotry. That anger challenges his social privilege and what he regards as the natural order.

All it shows Bolt will do anything for money however he doesn't deduct the impact and cost of coal regarding land degradation, health and loss of jobs. There is no regard for the benefits of clean energy. The world is in transition mining companies are in transition power companies are in transition and investors are all in a transition period away from coal. Turnbull at his best: I have great faith in the Australian people

Bolt certainly doesn't have this confidence in the Australian people. He doesn't believe in the capacity of Australians to understand Climate Change he believes they have been duped. Human rights which tends to lead to questioning of the power structures we have in place and anti government impulses .  Bolt constantly tells us how all our social institutions are under the control of the left and  are brain washing a naive population.

 Only a few conservatives have true quality of vision and the ability lead us to the true natural state of society.  Basically it's represented by a free market, small government, the individual in a non multicultural society without collectivist leanings. Turnbull's speech offers none of this only a hope for a respect for orderly government. Bolt's belief is that we are traditionalists that will be convinced by 2017 not to vote for marriage equality. however hope is not sufficent it needs a great deal of selling. In fact Bolt a true believer in training as an educational method quite the opposite of critical thinking and questioning everything with it's notion of the freedom to question all authority..

What is Bolt like at home? The word compromise and negotiation don't seem to exist in his world of cave or not to cave. What the scientists are talking about are global matters and not electoral ones which deniers always tend to confuse. Bolt as a denying advocate however keeps wanting to know whether he should wear his raincoat or not each day. 

Marohasy Bolt's hero at the event claims to have got up some new information which is in fact old information that's been negated for years  that being  the earth has been in a cooling period or hiatus for the past 18 years. Presenting this old disproved cherry is adding nothing any more to global discussions today. However it's not the deniers excercise. There true reason  is like the tobacco industry's reasoning just make sure the result of the meeting looks confused and it's given media coverage. Never mind that  the 18 year myth was destroyed years ago. What is poignant though is nothing is reported about the acceleration of global warming and it's consequences or the tipping point.

As for coal saving China India and the world's developing nations no mention is made as to why USA, China and India are moving in the opposite direction to what Australian conservatives are arguing. They are in fact the biggest investors in renewable energy growth and research in the world and also the biggest proposers of the deescalation of coal powered energy in the world. Australia is placed to be in the frontline of that science and Abbott pulled the rug from under us. We are running near last in a world growth industry when we should be first.  Does Bolt suggest saving the third world needs saving with coal at the point of a gun?

Those other countries  are now so far in advance of us that it will take yet another generation to catch up. I guess if the LNP stay in power long enough we could contract China or India to build one for us along with our cars. Who on earth could believe we were once the country that invented WIFI? 

The Abbott government killed science and prevented a totally integrated system going ahead. Abbott's response at the time was we don't need what is only going to be a glorified means of downloading movies and games faster.

 Bolt's cover up for Tony Abbott doesn't hold water even when he is now trying to say Abbott's problem was  incompetent Ministers in this case Malcolm Turnbull who failed to fulfill his vision. It's a poor tradesman that blames his tools. It was Abbott's nope, nope nope attitude to everything  landed us on the road to failure on the NBN and now recession.

Compared with the $ 4 million "incentive payment" to Flinders University first offered to the University of WA and now  dumped by Christopher Pyne Bill's secret payments seem trivial. Lomborg's last sponsor was the Fossil Fuel giants Koch bros. They took him on in secret for $1 million for the year. They dumped him due to yes, his lack of value. Why were we offering to pay so much? A bribe!!

Christopher Pyne's last words were that it would never pass the Senate so it was a waste of energy in fact a barnacle.

Remember the barnacles Bolt once advised needed to be let go of because they were dragging Abbott down. He now calls those barnacles concessions given to the left by Malcolm Turnbull. However those he lists here in the main were given up by Abbott in his hasty lurch left and not by the current PM. But what the hell if it's a lie made to fit Bolt's new narrative of concessions given and not barnacles. It's even better.

The divided party has never been more together than it is today. The barnacles as much as they were poor policies have been ditched  but they weren't the only thing dragging the party down the conservatives were and some have been dumped. However Bolt is encouraging them to do more to sink SS LNP but because there are so few he's just pissing in the wind.

It's amazing what can be negotiated when parties put their heads together. Let's wait and see how an if union dissatisfaction is as great as Bolt makes out. How is it he can't bear to pat Shorten on the back.?

 

 

Column - Malcolm has the sugar, but could use some medicine

Andrew Bolt lives in another dimension. Somewhere in a labyrinth  of his own making. In a closet on a commode he sits making up his dream time opera about an Australian Camelot lead by a Christian king called Tony. Who once lead the world of Andrew's imagination. Bolt regrets ever having to wake up to the reality of a parliamentary democracy. A place where the people actually elect representatives and have them work for them. A responsible world where problems are solved and progress made as opposed to one  where consideration was given to who was to be dubbed knights and who was to be shunned as the enemies of the kingdom. Thought was given to appointed advisers and those dumped and deemed heretics.  Bolt's dream was a fortress that needed protecting more from the inside than out but unlike Pol Polt or Stalin he couldn't kill them. It was a place where flags and uniforms played a greater role than any effort to provide health wealth and happiness for all. 

Bolt's bubble has been popped and he desperately wants to go back to punishment park his fantasy nation where he felt had a solid grasp on the media whip. He hates the current feeling of bonhomie.

IPSOS poll - stunning Abbott recovery to just 49 to 51 against

 If the latest IPSOS poll can be believed.  The Abbott government has narrowed the gap 49:51 It's the closest the coalitions been since October last year.

However it's not all good news for Abbott with Turnbull and Bishop both rating higher as preferred Liberal leader. Mr Turnball has a 20% lead and Bishop 7%. Shorten is still preferred PM 39:44%

Bolt claims Abbott has a life line. Only a superficial reading can support this conclusion. Some believe the rise is not because of Abbott but the anticipaion of a change of leader. Any claim that Abbott might be able to recover also overlooks the big  historical finding of today's poll. Abbott is seen to be worse than Gillard in 2011. Todays poll sees him as less competent and less trustworthy.

Bolt's tack on this poll is a solo flight of imagination so much so he even Islamises his industry showing just how racist he is.

Voters appear to be throwing Tony Abbott's leadership a lifeline, with the government recovering some of its losses in the latest opinion poll.
The Fairfax-Ipsos poll shows that the Abbott government has closed in on Labor on a two-party preferred basis, narrowing the gap to 49 per cent compared to Labor's 51.
It is the closest the Coalition has come to Labor since October last year.

But it's not all good news for the Prime Minister, with colleagues Malcolm Turnbull and Julie Bishop both rating higher as preferred Liberal leader.
Mr Turnbull has a 20 percent lead over Mr Abbott - Julie Bishop a 7 per cent lead.

Voters appear to be throwing Tony Abbott's leadership a lifeline, with the government recovering some of its losses in the latest opinion poll.
The Fairfax-Ipsos poll shows that the Abbott government has closed in on Labor on a two-party preferred basis, narrowing the gap to 49 per cent compared to Labor's 51.
It is the closest the Coalition has come to Labor since October last year.

But it's not all good news for the Prime Minister, with colleagues Malcolm Turnbull and Julie Bishop both rating higher as preferred Liberal leader.
Mr Turnbull has a 20 percent lead over Mr Abbott - Julie Bishop a 7 per cent lead.

Bolt's Threat

Genuine opinion  true debate was lost when Tony Abbott won leadership of the Liberal Party and took it to the extreme right. Abbott ruled his fiefdom as a totalitarian which isn't Australian.He was untrusting from the gecko and he controlled rather than shared government.  The PMO was structured to deliver orders where MP's needed to be invited or go  to be able to do anything.

Australia isn't Europe or America it still has a AAA rating and is one of the worlds best economies. Australians just didn't experience the emergencies  of the rest of world. Yet Abbott was trying to import the GOP ideology rather than develop particular Australian policies. As a result Abbott notion of the National Interest was and is  out of step with the our experience.  He dug a whole for himself. There is no forgiving this man for the narrative he provided us and the style with which he is delivering it. 

The Labour government lost the election the Liberal Party didn't win. Abbott's opposition politics took him in a direction so far to the right that he in fact was a minority party within the LNP.  He'd  lied his way into government but needed to continue. He was so far right he needed to manufacture the emergencies of the US and Europe to govern. Australians aren't the dolts Abbott made us out to be  he could not govern  keep the promises made or inspire us in anyway. Getting rid of him will be a win win for and is in the National Interest

When the Left quotes Twitter, it just quotes its friends

Bolt's blog makes ample use of selected  Twitter comments and  omissions from Twitter  conversations to craft lies and innuendo and prove points. He recently posted a Laura Jayes comment regarding "Multiple Govt sources say Triggs canvassed quitting in discussion with  Moriatis and made it clear she would only do so  if " looked after" but omitted Peter Van Onselens reply that he thought it a fabrication and her reply back "yep" she agreed. 

Chris Kenny changed the innuendo to  report it as multiple sources close to Govt. After all no ministers would raise their hand to this Furphy but maybe they could convince someone else to come out. Hasn't happened yet. But you can be assured no apology will be forthcoming.

However because Murdoch press has a readership of 1.5million and owns 66% of Australian press it has the power to garner enormous conservative influence at any one time. The Fairfax is the only print media we have to being somewhat informative and balanced. However as far as Murdoch Press is concerned always progressive and left. There remains only the digital and social format for individuals or groups to have their say.

 As Murdoch's business model is to support corporate wealth, the conservative rich and political class they draw anger and resentment from the majority of moderate and left Australia. It would only be expected that social media in the main would be the voice of the extreme  left and moderate center.  While social media is the voice of the majority it's not a consolidated voice like that of Murdoch's but far more varied. It's why the ABC is the most trusted public broadcaster has the trust and support of 86% of the Australian public. It's also why Murdoch wants it gone. It's why Murdoch has so much influence.

Bolt's doing it for Murdoch slam the ABC even though it has conservative broadcasters like Tom Switzer an ex Murdoch man working for it. Did you know Bolt is now calling  the Liberals a leftist party as well. 

Given Turnbull has the majority of members ready to vote for him the party can't be conservative. It must be left as moderates are lefties. It's time Abbott and his conservatives broke away from the Liberals and formed their own party.

 

The editor should have a word with Mark Kenny about all those nameless sources

The whole of Murdoch Press has been doing exactly that alluding to nameless sources. 

"many nameless Liberal MPs"  was just too dangerous to run with as no MP would stick their neck out only to be challenged. So it was eventually  turned in the hands of Chris Kenny to "many sources close  to Liberal MPs "all whispering that Gillian Triggs put the word out that she was ready to resign if taken care of. 

The problem  however seems these many sources haven't  spoken up. Even days after Brandis and Moraitis were caught  offering Triggs a specific role . Which Abbott denied outright even after Moriatis admitted it before the estimates committee. and Bishop at question time. Why didn't any of these sources speak up immediately? 

 Van Oslen of the Australian tweeted to Jays of Sky News with whom the rumour originated that it sounded like a lie that couldn't be disproved concocted solely to  damage Triggs and Jays agreed. Bolt however ran with it in his blog leaving out the belief it was a purposefully constructed lie.

 Given this was supposed to have occurred   before Xmas and known widely it does sound like bullshit? Couldn't they change sources to source and get Tim Wilson to do an Ashby on Triggs as was done to Peter Slipper?

In Australia that same feeling can be said of Islamophobia not however imported but home grown at the hands of Murdoch media , 2GB and Tony Abbott. I went to a Jewish funeral recently 500 attended not a word of fear. Not a single suggestion of emigrating to Israel. 

The same can't be said of Muslim women in fear of leaving home alone or in fear for their children. The fact that Muslim schools are growing like topsy because parents don't want their kids to feel exclusion in State schools where anti- Muslim sentiment has grown.

Anti-Muslim sentiment is preached by Murdoch media broadcast by 2GB and promoted by politicians like Scott Morrison  as a useful tactic to garner votes. Tony Abbott agrees and applies those divisive tactics without concern.  Spending on National Security as if we were at war.  Explanation Islamic terrorism.

The AFP and ASIO know full well what proud Australians the Islamic community are and have thanked them time and time again. Have you ever seen Andrew Bolt draw regular attention to that? Have you ever notice how he falls over himself to praise the Islamic community or just leave it alone?

How Turnbull overplayed his hand

Bolt really seems overly concerned about a man who he says hasn't an iceblocks chance in hell of becoming PM. The Liberal Party prides itself on being a party of individuals not a Totalitarian Party. Bolt advised from his bleacher seat what Abbott needed to do to make it just that and appease those low life back benchers doing the whinging. Change the structure of the PMO Tony that's all that's needed and be more approachable. 

Make the PMO like Hawke's or Blair's or Clinton's in short be more like Labour.

Bolt wants Scott Morrison to throw his hat in the ring. However MPs with a longer track record with the party would be reluctant to see a newcomer promoted so quickly. Frankly I don't think Turnbull will do anything he doesn't need to. Bolt is just another Abbott conservative goading across the school yard to bring it on. That group however are just shrinking
