Bolt has obviously forgotten that Chris was once John Faine's program producer who he regards as one of ABC's worst Marxists.
There in lies a contradiction, the rub I think Mr Bolt. One of the ABCs best putting the words into the mouth of one of the ABC worst. It makes no logical sense and shows that Bolt's rant pure histrionics without any relevance to reality. He just makes it up as he goes along. One case of ABC bias that even Malcolm Turnbull cannot ignore
It's scandalous how Bolt takes up the carbon copy cudgel of the Murdoch attack on all non extreme right wing media. Why if audience is already right wing? It's not to convince readers listeners or viewers that their is a new alternative position it's merely to convince them not to go else where for their information. It's purely the News Corp business model which is in fact unique to Murdoch media. Bolt is a template commentator who models himself on Fox News USA. The opposition media don't give him any heed as their actually in the business of being professional.
Ahron Shapiro who Bolt references is the opposite of an unbiased journalist. Rather he is a paid lobbyist for Israel. Any objective consideration to current Israeli policies anything not unquestionably for Israel is regarded not as anti- the state or anti- Zionist but anti -Semitic as well. Ahron Shapiro is a policy analyst for the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council and the former International News Editor for the Australian Jewish News. Hardly a journalist without an agenda but a lobbyist.

Whilst declaring a fact "the old are still alive" he couples it with his personal moral and totally unempathetic directive which removes any freedom of choice from those concerned. Since when does Bolt allow himself to be the arbiter of the lack freedoms of others based on his personal experience alone. Is that the rational rule of thumb he wishes for us all ignore what anybody else might want even your mother? I must admit he is consistent in that the opinions of only a very few are paid attention to and often that depends on status.

If after a week of negative publicity the council said it was only trying to raise the level of conversation about something that really needs to be addressed. Would Bolt in any way believe his elected council had succeeded in their approach in raising an issue. Would he believe the announcement was a conciliatory and responsible one. Bolt obviously would be quite happy to comply and be happy to blamed for the lack of any sympathy on his part to public announcement. Why isn't Abbott?

Fact the history of this sad event it has been an extreme negative for Abbott and not Plibersek. He has been front and center of any politics between Indonesia and Australia on the subject. Julie Bishop has intervened in the negative responses to Abbott's untimely remarks from senior persons in the Indonesian government. It's Abbott's remarks regard Foreign Aid and that further generosity might be compromised in future. That gave fuel responses from Indonesia which were clearly deserved. Deflection is the regular conservative response media trolls like Bolt exercise when in a corner.
