I agree with Bolt "It says everything" However the University stood up to political bribery
It restores university creditability as places of thought and intelligent reasoning with some regard to standards. Bolt who has no qualifications or standards to speak of sees universities a simply a soapbox arena. Doctors, Dentists, accountants and other professionals need to resit their exams here to show they meet our academic standards to practice. Bolt just spits in the face of those standards.
He seems to believe all you need is to be able to run an argument. It's not the case and never has been. Bolt's ignorance reveals itself in his repeated belief that it's just all ideologically driven which just amplifies his ignorance. Lomborg was underqualified for the position Abbott wanted him to be appointed to, and all the academics rightfully felt slighted and protested. The money on offer appeared to be little more than a bribe. His daughter may have got away with it but then she wasn't at a university. Abbott just discovered that it's not that simple.
Tolerance or intolerance doesn't enter into the equation unless you are a spoilt ego driven brat like Bolt, who failing to argue the point on rational grounds resorts to hysteria and name calling. Jake Lynch was investigated and brought before a committee to be judged. Bolt true to form can only call the committee leftists for finding Lynch had no case to answer. He didn't like what Paul Kelly said of him so demanded an apology and an assurance from the editors of The Australian that they wouldn't excercise any control over him as if he was above them all in the Murdoch organization. Bolt seems to equate celebrity and the ego of a Karadashian but that's about it. He's just a tool with a use by date. Can anybody even begin to imagine how this man operates when at home with his family?

Scott Morrison is no hero he was handed a social welfare brief and not to replace the removed barnacles from the first budget. In other words his brief was easy. They are after all looking out for a large number of the electorate.
Sloan's figures seem awfully skewed to me when she declares there will be a huge increase in pensioners in 40 years. I might just argue against that. Why have I a baby boomer been eligible for the past 5 years my life expectancy 15. It seems to me the there would in fact be a reduction in 40 years. I doubt he figures make much sense.

It's with the above innanity that the right want to cloud the issue when in fact there is none. To ask "why do you insist Climate Change is crap Mr Abbott ?" Is not a biased question. I wouldn't argue against Murdoch if what he sold us was news. What the paying public get isn't. The question is then where are Australians meant to get their news? Who will ask the hard questions of politicians to ensure they are doing the jobs they are paid to do, being of service to us as opposed to just servicing us on behalf of their donors.
