Lomborg calls his franchise The Coppenhagen Consensus Council. The Coppenhagen Government withdrew it's support years ago. The Head Office is not in Denmark it's in the USA. It's funded indirectly through from Koch Bros and their Fossil Fuel interests. It's findings have been declared to be found wrong and badly formed . Nobody disputes the concept of free thought but a $4 million dollar grant offered by Abbott is not only not free but well over priced for an Academic of such diminished repute.
Is there a scam? One might think so, the title of Adjunct Professor allows Lomborg to attract a salary above the normal university rates. Given Lomborgs salary recently was in the vicinity of $250K and his total US funding $1mill. Why is Abbott willing to fund it to the tune of $4mill?

Absolute crap and that's from Malcolm Turnbull who certainly didn't declare the necessity of control over the ABC by threat of withdrawal of money. He admitted that the government itself and he as Minister is bound by law. The government and ABC are and must remain separate with an independent board of management who appoints the CEO. That's current historical policy and law. Bolt simply believes the government can play his fascist card and challenges them to do what Murdoch wants.
As Turnbull clearly pointed out that Bolt's personal opinion and Albrechtsen's is slanted because of their positions working for Murdoch. The sale of the ABC would be of no advantage to the Australian community or democracy in this country only diminish it. Strange Albrechtesen can declare on the ABC that News Radio is her favourite show she listens to when at home to keep up with what's happening but then denigrates it in her work place.
The three journalists are actually pointing out a truth $20,000 isn't a grant it's what was and is in place anyway except the deduction can be claimed quicker for two years and the public seems confused. Isn't clarification a journalists job? Most small businesses don't do their tax Janet they employ accountants as they don't have the time they are workers little more status than employees.
As for the word deficit it's Abbott who declared it off the political agenda. So the focus of the discussion wasn't the economy it was the budget and it's content. Albrectsen is just barking at the wind and like an unruly dog chasing cars.
As for Kelly all these 3 Murdochians seem to decry the anger directed because of Abbott's backflip which in fact promised one thing and then removed it.

Obviously Bolt Kelly and Albrechtsen put aside their differences when it comes to the ABC I think they just all avoided the point for a purpose.

War culture is as different as cultures are anywhere. Papuan culture might well be another planet to that of Malvern. Beheading is a regular practise in Saudi Arabia the Saudi's are our allies. Our ADF stands for and with the Irani Shiia Militia. It doesn't matter whether or not we are or aren't fighting with them we are there and they are our allies. We are participants in the brutality. Shiias and Sunnis in battle whether IS or not are just as brutal with each other. Christians aren't strangers to it either crucifixion a common practise just think Bosnia 1995. Pol Pot's killing fields didn't come out of the imagination of one man or one side. Nor did the Mai Lai massacres in Vietnam. Blair and Bolt just love drawing a one sided picture of those they call enemy or even just disagree with. They ridicule and disparage indigenous Australians who they say deserve to be incarcerated and intervened with because of the poverty of their culture. They malign and call women wingbats and frightbats for being feminists simply because they struggle against the social identity imposed on them by today's culture. They rail against any other media not for conversation sake but to deny the possibility that someone might listen to another narrative. They degrade the faith of Muslims in the same way Protestants once did to Catholics and Jews in this country reducing them to not just second class citizens. But criminals and a danger to the fabric of our society itself. They were once kept out of their clubs, suburbs, schools and families spreading myths about dark and dangerous practises and their disloyalty to this country.
Bolt and Blair are just the modern day voice behind the curtain of Newscorp media spreading propaganda as it was done in the past when it was proven to be wrong as it is today. They know what their doing being hate mongers divisive they are serving the same right wing minority today as was done yesteryear and they know they're doing it. It's why you will never see them wandering about in public particularly if they have a public face like Bolt. They scare themselves. They skulk on the streets of our cities not wanting to be overly recognized not because they don't want to be celebrity but because those who beget fear live in fear. Money is their only compensation for their destructive product.
As for Abbott and Shorten and their poll differences. Mainstream Media Manipulation has the power to strike fear or pleasure as quickly as day or night. Abbott has just done an almighty short term leap to the Left and joined Malcolm Turnbull. He has been rewarded. It's what the electorate wanted and he has been given a short term reward. Is it real? History says no it's just a short term means to an end as far as Abbott and the conservatives are concerned however not as far as the Party is concerned. They like it here. Where does Abbott really stand on Aborigines, Women, and Muslims he has no regard for any of them other than their use for political advantage. His main game still remains the economy keeping the unions weak, privatizing and deregulating as much as possible driving public assets into private hands to maximize their profits.
Greg Irvine has been a decorative artist since I knew him in Brighton in the 60's. He has to be admired for his dedication. Irvine really found his inspiration as an artist back then but never really progressed. However commercially successful and an inspiration for Ken Done his art can be found on tea towels and objects everywhere. Irvine and Bolt a marriage deserving of two figures on top of the commercial wedding cake of success. Bolt I'd suggest commercially successful like Greg however I don't know who he's inspired.
Bolt has declared who he is a collector of the decorative but dressed by Peter Jacksons. So removed from the decorative as one could possibly be. If he is such a fan of decorative and keeps it behind closed doors what else is in his closet his true psyche?
