Matisyahu Bolt has grabbed an adopted a Jewish rapper simply because he remained apolitical. Neither for Israel or Palestine he performed on front of a pro Palestinian crowd. All the excitement all the bluster Bolt tries to make of it proves nothing. He's Jewish and in good Jewish tradition he performed because business is business and that's what he does. All the symbolism attributed to this by Bolt is in fact meaningless and Bolt has merely stolen a Jews actions for his own political purpose. Dustin Martin did throw a two finger fuck you spear at the opposition and we all knew what that meant. There was no accompanying dance. Adam Goodes on indigenous day did a dance and symbolically threw a spear only Andrew Bolt put the fuck you into it and turned it into something entirely different. It was so un Australian of him for doing just that. What was good was the countries general response to Bolt. Selective reporting by Bolt always deliver us crimes committed by individuals around Australia. Crimes not of the kind committed daily by every ordinary Australian but by Australian Muslims. Bolt presents these as representative of Islam and not Australia in order to push the Patriot Defense League mantra that they shouldn't have been let into the country in the first place. Because crimes in general do not occur in this country and if they do you won't hear of them from Bolt.
There is intent to Bolt's reports and that is to cast a shadow of fear over not just Melbourne but the whole country suggesting by innuendo that we are all potentially in danger and are the victims of Muslim hate and crime. Bolt revels in these stories. It doesn't matter whether these criminals have nothing in common they have Islam in common and it's that which counts.
Bolt like bigots of the past who once spread rumors of Catholic dagoes wandering the streets of Melbourne armed with knives ready to jump any innocent protestantAussie they come across. Or how Vietnamese gangs had taken over our streets. Bolt's purpose is to put fear in the mind of his readers and if it's already there to reinforce the bigotry it creates. He lets his know under Labor our Immigration laws were slack but now the person best able to keep us safe from these criminals and terrorists is Tony Abbott. When push comes to shove Abbott's the only one prepared to do what's necessary to protect us.
Bolt's articles are a double edged knife because they are written in the hope of creating a sense of alienation in those he's writing about basically he's quite happy to try to divide Australia so he can then say it's Abbott and Captain Hastie who know how to deal with these rag heads. Bolt is ISIS's media man in Australia.

Given that the Liberal financial and ideological support can only be found among the shrinking few wealthy, transnational mega corporations, or in corporations in pivotal industries basically capital in Australia. It's no surprise the shrinking middle class and professional classes are to be found in other institutional and cultural areas and are starting to feel less than secure. Is it any surprise that they don't support a government that seems to ignore their interests by removing their civil liberties previous rights and putting downward pressure on their incomes. The propaganda and promises of the right are being recognized for what they are just a smokescreen for downward mobility. Furthermore grassroots Liberal organizations simply don't exist within these areas and that goes a long way to explain their dwindling support for the Liberal Party.
Heading Bolt's list of targets needing to be privatized and not publicly funded is the ABC. Which News Corp greedily has it's eyes on. Expanding markets can be done one of two ways the cheapest being the carving up of the opposition. That Thursday dinner Abbott had with Murdoch would have been one that reinforced the promises and mutual interests of both these men. Their problem is not only the next election but to ensure a majority in the upper house.
The problem however isn't because these social and cultural institutions aren't private the problem is that the single minded focus on profit doesn't fulfill the needs of everyone and user pays approach reduces activities to a few. Basically Conservatives running social and cultural institutions with a stick will inevitably be counterproductive without grassroots support which they don't have. However these issues are then really only treated as political sideshows which distract from real economic issues they can't or won't deal with in the media. We once knew Wayne Swan but who is Joe Hockey?

What are we hinting at here? Wealth is hurting entrepreneurs and killing their incentives. Well it's simply a lie that Bolt is peddling apart from a few super star entrepreneurs most wealth comes from inheritance and property transfer and the income that generates. It's lack has kept the indigenous poor for 220 years. So Bolt's support of Hockey's suggestion is "bullshit"
Given that single income families have fast disappeared since the 80's, that the middle class is shrinking and the income gap is increasing more people are finding themselves in need of welfare. The Liberal answer of ever stringent policing and austerity will and has done nothing to find jobs for the 800,000 unemployed. There are 12 people looking for every job available in the country. That's not distinguishing those with families to support. Attacking penalty rates is certainly not a job growth policy. People need to have savings in order to spend and that no longer seems possible. We carry the highest credit card debt per individual in the world now.
Home ownership has given away to investment and the continued accumulation of wealth by those already with it. All things show that the rich are getting richer and more easily. As I said earlier the whole of the News Corp hive has been employed to go on the the ALP attack. Rupert Murdoch had dinner with Tony Abbott on Thursday night to gauge his desperation and no doubt tell him he wasn't happy. So currently for over the past two months he's hidden and cosseted Tony Abbott away because of his constant public errors and embarrassments. To counterbalance real journalists and media Bolt has focused on Bill shorten along with any groups or associations that might be seen as supporting the ALP. For Bolt that's just about every gathering Institution or cultural association in the country not just the trade unions. In the next month it will increase because he needs to protect his mate Tony who is about to face a dramatic fall in the Canning poll if not a loss. So with Rupert Murdoch wining and dining with Scott Morrison privately and not with Abbott dark clouds are overhead once again for our dual citizen PM.
Abbott has resulted to old tricks in Canning and coopted the ADF by offering a man in uniform a political post. Western Australians no all Australians can expect to hear the the ADF is and never was happy with Labor in the recent wars fought to protect us from invasion.

Martin Ferguson works for the Mining Industry he's a member of the ALP and believes union influence hampers the ALP all of which goes to show that Democracy exists in the Labor Party. It no longer does in the Tow the line Liberal Party.
What associations are the working class or even the middle class allowed that aren't a threat? What balance is there in any democracy if only the conservatives and big business are allowed to rub shoulders.

If there was a commission into the activities of big business one would see far greater losses to the community than ever came to light in the unions. Corporations negotiate Unions are demonized in the public arena.
So if they even apply the art of lawfare the only rights available to them in defence of attack the conservatives scream for the laws to be changed rather than judgements to be made just in case they turn out to be revealed for what they are the users and abusers of public interest 85% of the electorate.

Am I hearing that in recent times Tony Abbott has moved and stayed on the right? Pardon me since Hockey's second budget and the threatened spill what we have witnessed is a Rocky Horror Show jump to the left by Abbott. Promising tax cuts, telling us the economy is in good shape, acknowledging the existence of climate change, softening his attack on pensioners, promising ship building, among other things and trying to appease a disgruntled electorate to regain some poll strength. It hasn't worked because it's so obviously political theatrics.
Abbott's inability to govern,negotiate and compromise has been blamed on everyone other than them selves by News Corp the rest of MSM get howled down for shining some light on the truth or even questioning the world as presented by Murdhoch.

It's amazing how Bolt let's fly with the figures collected by The Daily Telegraph ever so easily. Bolt makes the $ sums sing by not mentioning that whatever it was that was punched into the Telegraphs calculator was for Tony Burke's entire political life. News Corp with little else to do but keep Abbott under wraps seems to believe beating up Burke's expenses is the way to go so it's a full frontal attack again.
However haven't they got the message that politicians are self interested animals and no Party wants to go down that road anymore. Is this Tony's idea of distraction and revenge? Is it the PMO? Is it a means of deflecting the heat away from the Liberal party back room and volume of silence that exists about the missing $2 million. There seem to be a lot of people close to Abbott who aren't talking.
