What it goes to show is conservatives have no idea of what constitutes a joke. Why is it Andrew Bolt only funny mate is Tim Blair and he's a failure at it. What is the joke Andrew Bolt What is it your laughing about. Why not stand up in front of the left media and stare down the barrage of questions like Donald Trump. Stop whinging and lead by example. Bolt will keep his comfortable distance behind the protective barrier of News Corp. When face by Robert Di natale he was stred down he certainly didn't make Di Natale blush did he. Not only does Bolt show profound ignorance on drugs and drug addiction but there's not an ounce of Samaritan in him. What opportunity does Bolt suggest Lambie gained and it seems Bolt believes it to be a private issue and not a social one? What praise did Bolt recently pour on the NSW Liberal for speaking out about his alcohol problem and his mental health issues. If the media hadn't made it public he might just still be there like a czar or Yeltsin. Side before principle is Bolt's mantra. One can only hope Bolt learns some hard lessons in life sitting in his glass house.
Addiction is a human and universal trait deciding who are functional or dysfunctional social and relative. Bolt's extreme political positions as far as I'm concerned are dysfunctional and addicted. However he has the backing of News Corp to voice them it's the only reason he still functions his privileged position. What a brilliant idea it would soon show just how all of us in society are self medicated both legally and illegally . The expression "sober as a judge" didn't spring from the ether. It makes a lot of sense judging the standards of those who are doing the judging after all we certainly don't do it without bias or well. We didn't with priest,teachers,and scout masters did we. Nor with drugs when we looked at police.
Good old fashion trust seems to flow unevenly in our community. The prosecution of white collar crime generally has gone down and is ignored. Damien Mantach an example. Which doesn't mean there is less dysfunction just less prosecuted. We could suggest the drop in prosecution or attention to white collar crime is a move to increase middle class welfare. It certainly costs the community more than refugees do and does more harm. Who uses the billions of dollars of cocaine brought into to the country not the refugees nor the working class. Don't the police police, judges lawyers, politicians or political advisers just the Lebanese. What might they find doing a random test at News Corp?

Refugees were never a burden to Australia and only to some individuals who don't like their taxes to help anyone undeserving let alone new comers. Bolt keeps talking of the major price we have paid for taking in refugees. My parents were refugees from the communist takeover. They spoke no English when they arrived. I'm sure they were on the welfare Bolt condemns. Yet they paid more tax than the average Australians once they had established themselves. I have paid more tax than Bolt's family in total and yes there was a time when I was on welfare. I had a scholarship while attending university. Fancy that not only was university free but I was paid. I bet Bolt was on welfare at sometime in his first 56 years as well. His condemnation that refugees were on it at sometime in their first 5 years.
Bolt's statistic of welfare payouts to refugees suggests the history of this country has always been held back. A history of Australians dragging a chain. Bolt's reference for his tale of misery suffered by the rich is none other than Andrew Bolt himself and his fudging of a statistical record. You see it's easy to say 85% of refugees were on benefits in their first 5 years. I was on benefits at some time in my first 20 years with a Commonwealth Scholarship. It says nothing about how long. I was on benefits for 4 years longer than most refugees were or are now.
Bolt seems to suggest all benefits are lost but no they are spent and a good proportion come back to us in tax. Let alone it helps employ all those working in the public service and other areas of assistance. How many jobs does Andrew Bolt want lost and then be on welfare? It's why the concept of "spending" for growth makes sense but not to Bolt. He really needs to be historically reeducated about our history which is one of people arriving and building Australia not just great business men.
Bolt rails against the cost of refugees. That cost is far less than the cost of white collar crime the prosecution of which is dropping yet the cost and size of it increasing. How is it you never hear Bolt complaining and calling this a form of middle class unproductive welfare with it's roots in white anglo- saxon behaviour. After all it costs is far greater than refugees do and does more harm.
There is an attitude among the elite and those that believe they are that pervades its that soft racism and bigotry that in 2015 has never left us and is still used to justify treating people badly.

Given Abbott said he wasn't laughing at anything Dutton said yesterday and now Andrew Bolt telling us just what a leaky boat the Liberal Party is with the Treasurer in the cross-hairs why would anyone bother to vote for them? Even the polls are rigged and biased it seems. Yet even Bolt it seems says "it would seem a miracle for the Liberals simply to win." If that's not media whiteanting Abbott what is.
