Abbott could well have been speaking directly to Andrew Bolt a leading right wing ninja for the now retired PMO . He's taken his filleting knife to a broad range of people some of whom he had sacked just like Abbott. He does it on a regular basis.
65 broken promises hardly provides great reason for pride what with an economy that's been going down the plug hole since Abbott took over. Australia had a solid AAA rating and Swan was voted the world's best treasurer. Abbott has put this country's credit rating at risk and Hockey has been literally been voted the country's worst ever treasurer. That alone buries what Bolt calls a list of accomplishments. In Feb Abbott asked the Party for 6months to prove he could change and he didn't. Turnbull didn't unseat Abbott Scott Morrison and his followers did when they moved against Tony. Turnbull was simply called.
How do you respond to the litany of crap that Bolt continues with. Unemployment is up but Bolt sings the song out of the Liberal song book of more jobs created. Yes we have grown larger over the past 2 years but a hell of a lot more are on welfare and the income gap and wealth gaps are growing. The FTA's all began with the Labor Party and Abbott did signed them. No generosity by Bolt in his acknowledgement of the shared Party involvement in them.
Then the creation of imagine threats on the other side of the world for political advantage is something makes one want to vomit. We are now a less freer country run by a more secretive government. Who have ensured that even our citizenship is of diminished importance and can be removed by a flourish of a pen by a klutz whose political IQ and I suspect general IQ is the equivalent of a carrot, Peter Dutton.

insidious because you seemingly want it to impact on thousands of
others. Your stories rare emerge from all the fact they are molded to
fit a specific political argument. Your not much better than Dr William
McBride the notorious inventor of Thalidomide. He ensured the facts
were made to fit his conclusions as well. None of which were true.

Bolt does his best to try to tell us that the action of registering and processing refugees is the equivalent of Germany shutting the gates. He knows it's not he just can't bear to be wrong. The twat just keeps on dreaming anyway with his head up his clacker.
The % population that is foreign born in each EU country is so much less than Australia's 25% it's ridiculous. In fact 50% have non anglo-saxon roots. Is it so strange that Australia is a proud multicultural nation. Further Foreign born does not mean either refugees or Muslim heritage which of course Bolt loves to suggest in order to say I told you so with all his negativity.

How long ago was that Andrew Bolt. Before Italy, Germany, UK ,France the Netherlands etc became modern Nation States with a mongrel mix of cultures and peoples of their own? When were those days of common values and history you dream of? The days of city states? Modern Italy was just a dream How many languages exist in your brave and modern Italy today. How many elections has Italy had in the past 10 years. How many cultures does it contain. What does the real Italian look like? Look at the list under Tony Abbott's name he truly was the broken promise before he ever took on the job. Bolt is always the one to try to spoil any party. He generally relishes the ones where everyone backed in a corner his favorite place in a room is up against the wall behind the others after all he was a drummer.
Bolt seems to really not understand what's gone on here. Turnbull first challenge is past him he won. His second is to reunite the Liberal electorate which he's done. His third and least challenge at 55: 44 is to realize half of the 44 are not ultra conservatives and will come on board. His fourth is to pick his cabinet and get rid of the ultra conservative and careerist morons that were sitting on it.
Bolt ever the fool can now sit and watch proceedings from a distance and let his tears dry. He can return back to his lair.

Kennett is right there is more of a team in place now than there was under Abbott. The Liberal Party has found it's core. Groups of representative MPs not forced to come together as a collective. Abbott can go down in history as the worst and shortest leader in history both in time and stature.
