The ABC hasn't changed Andrew Bolt certainly has. It's pretty self evident. He hates PM Turnbull more than Clive, Jackie, etc. What has stood out though is his seemingly lack of access to Tony. However what ever he seemed to have in the past is no longer evident. That feeling of closeness is important if one is pretending to be an insider. Unfortunately that feeling of make up artiste is all there is.

The Malaysia Solution was always ignored and replaced by a slogan and a secret policy. It's always fair for sceptics to ask Did he? After all as an agnostic Bolt claims to be a sceptic not just a man of faith. He claims that he also has that right as a warming denier. Even though his denials are never based on peer reviewed science only on some economic self interests. So if his interests are for the benefit of us all shouldn't he accept that these questions have significant value?

There are 2 issues here

So much so Bolt describes Abbott's policies as regressive and archaic and in order for Turnbull to 'steal' power. According to Bolt Turnbull

hiatus in warming for the past 18 years. However Bolt doesn't really reveal is Abbott and the LNP had moved away and had accepted all deniers like Bolt were wrong and that warming was a reality. Turnbull in fact hadn't stolen anything.
Bolt is the individualist who however talks in collective terms of "them" and" us. " Turnbull has turned it into an advantage for "them" heaven help it if he said it was an advantage for a bipartisan us a "we". Basically it amounts to China, Indonesia or any nations pro warming are deceptive. All they want is to gain some mythical economic advantage over us. If that were the case China could destroy our economy in a blink because ours has been so dependant on it since the Howard years.

Bolt is a weathercock he was defending Bronwyn Bishop at one point arguing she was no worse than any other politician. However he certainly went for Peter Slipper's jugular on entitlements and has never apologized even though Slipper has been proved innocent. Now he's attacking Bronywn Bishop yet again on ostensibly the same grounds after having defended her. What Bishop did or didn't do in her misuse of entitlements has nothing it seems to do with Bolt's turnaround. She didn't vote for Tony Abbott. It just keeps rolling on commonsense to nonsense claiming that the science of global warming is just another religion and that scientific method is just another faith based source of knowledge. Galileo was a scientist by the way arguing against faith based knowledge and not a non scientist arguing purely for venal interest. The RICO act and investigation that is being called for to name and shame is not aimed at those who just doubt global warming science but do so simply to discredit scientific peer reviewed evidence. What a moronic post this is aligning themselves with a scientist of his day Galileo who defied religious belief. When they are in fact defending their right to be deniers on any scientific grounds but venal ones whose foundation is faith in profit.
VW , Seven Eleven, Damien Mantach etc, etc, every reason that the $63million spent on a Royal Commission into the CFMEU is a political stunt and kangaroo court simply to smear Trade Unions and the ALP. It may have been good political strategy on Abbott's part but with the amount of corporate crime that goes on unprosecuted that damages the lives of Australians this royal commission is totally disingenuous akin to the killing of Peter Slipper. It makes the few charges laid against unionists for pilfering look totally petty in comparison. However it's not the findings of the commission that are of any value to the LNP they could just as well have been handled by the police it's the ongoing publicity by media that's their gain a very very expensive exercise in political PR.
Notice this post makes no comment into the ethics of business nor even a true and fair commission should have conducted an investigation into business practises in general in Australia. No consideration is being given to the damage business practise is allowed to do to our economy and how it goes unchallenged. Anyway the number is greater in Australia than the USA if we just go by birth. 25% of us are foreign and only 13% of the US are. How many "illegals" are here we don't know the US estimates it has some 3%. Truth be known numbers don't mean much to Bolt it's the political argument that counts the side the 'right' that's worth fighting for.
News Corp are right wing GOP advocates of strict border and immigration controls so Bolt deems anyone seeking asylum in Australia and coming by boat is an 'illegal' no matter the UNHCR convention we signed on asylum seekers. Distinct from those flying in and genuinely becoming 'illegals' but not seeking asylum. We spend an inordinate amount of money billions on an 1% problem purely for political gain built about myth. No morality in the policy other than it works politically.
Bolt the greatest of advocates of do as I say but not as I do runs a very stupid argument which I assume he'd apply to the Dalai Llama, the Monarchies of the world and all the worlds most wealthy philanthropists like Bill Gates philosophers and teachers of any kind deeming them hypocrites for advising people on how to conduct their lives but not doing it themselves. Basically Bolt's argument of calling the Pope a hypocrite is the equivalent of an avowal or it's simply meaningless. Everyone is a hypocrite but not everyone is as stupid as Bolt pointing out to his kids that" lying is bad" or "manners are important" and "you should always be polite to strangers" . I'm sure he tells his kids to do things he he doesn't always do himself it does not automatically make you a hypocrite. The concept of philosophers teachers, advisers and politicians becomes meaningless if the rule of law is practice what you preach. If I recall Hitler often talked about the true nature of Germany, the fatherland and the need to keep it pure. Bolt feels the same way not only of Germany and Europe but Australia too. Bolt wants restrictions placed both on where migrants come from their ethnicity, education,language, class and primarily their faith. Basically wants the return of a White Australia policy of sorts strict immigration laws. However he rarely defines what it is he means. He simply claims he wants to restrict the intake of Muslims 95% of whom happen to be colored. As far as Bolt is concerned there is good and bad mongrel in Australia and needs social engineering. Europe on the other hand needs to stop ant intake. Any arguments for multiculturalism are universally negative and should be politically condemned. For Bolt there is no progress to be found in multiculturalism or open borders they are socially regressive

Again we see the application of Bolt logic applied to immigration. Immigrants arrive under certain requirements and even today they aren't free to settle anywhere. It's why Sheparton has a 4.5% Muslim population the most successfully integrated in the country. However that is an inconvenient truth for Andrew Bolt and you can be assured if a crime occurs in Sheparton and it's committed by a Muslim we will hear of it.
As for Peter Dutton not being center stage and MIA the man has a record of being a bull in a china shop and can't be trusted in public. Needless to say Andrew Bolt by innuendo suggests deaths in large numbers is peculiarly Muslim and Islam is to blame. The only certainty here is Bolt logic and his attempt to blame Islam and not poor management for these unfortunate deaths. He could just as well blame Christianity for the deaths by drowning of desperate asylum seekers rather than the poor political management of closed borders. Are closed borders peculiarly a Christian issue of not accepting refugees?
India's Hindu Kumba Melas attract millions of pilgrims at which it isn't uncommon for hundreds have been crushed. Sporting events British, Latin American and even Israeli have done the same. Are they accidents, mismanagement, they do occur where people gather in large numbers and there tends to be a direct relationship between the size of the events and the deaths that occur. Yet even that is based on good fortune. So Bolt what is your theory of "Cultural Connection"?
Some people argue that Lourdes the place of Christian pilgrimage is a place where miracles occur because occasionally some but I might add very few have seemingly been cured. Sceptics have argued that proof of any miracle has never been found. Others on the other hand have argued that it's a scientific miracle that such large numbers of people bathing in the water of Lourdes some with contagious illnesses have never been recorded as sharing their contagion and that's the true miracle of Lourdes. Should Bolt have been asking the question of why so few people have died performing haj over the past thousands of years?
