No to Turnbull’s tax grab

 The notion of a conversation about any issue turns into whatever fait accompli Bolt wishes. Discussion of  and increased GST means it will be on the cards. Whether is the best approach is not the issue. If it's achievable politically is. What any government needs to consider is what is achievable? To get back on the Abbott band wagon will only produce push back. It's easy for the armchair experts to sit and say what the best is but in most cases the best often can't be done if you want to stay in power. It seems Abbott wasn't a great leader at any time in his career. He wasn't held in high regard in Student politics, his job at the cement company as captain coach of a rugby team or as leader of government. Largely because he found it hard to compromise.

As far as the GST is concerned it's revenue  that relies on spending. However if wages have flattened out at a record rate and the normal workers of this country don't spend because they simply haven't  the money how the hell does the government collect revenue without increasing taxes? One deeds to reduce the income and wealth gaps that have increased over the years because the wealthy in fact don't need to work and still make money. Bolt is always talking of the industrious individuals who shouldn't be harmed whilst alive. What has he got against a death tax. Inheritance tax it seems is an equalizer in the free market.

Bolt doesn't care about youtube clicks but he's sure as hell advertising himself so his supporters do. It's why he's throwing his head in the air at the same time saying I don't care if I win or lose. Does anybody think Waleed Aly or any of the others are that self involved chasing clicks?  Bolt even mirrors ISIS in terms of his ego it's quite. amazing. It's sad to see his following of red neck voters are that staunch. However they do remain a minority.

Andrew Bolt,  Janet Abrechtsen  were quoting numbers to suit themselves depending on what they thought would impress. Bolt said 1mill  refugees would hit not the EU but Germany. Albrechtsen a secret report that said 1.5mill and now it's  600,000 and has not yet reached last years figures. Bolt was adamant Syria was the worst of all the refugees the EU had to face. He calls them "illegals" the rest of Europe don't they are registered asylum seekers refugees. Their credentials still to  be investigated and their status determined. Given the pot pourri of figures Bolt is throwing around it sounds as if he just hasn't a grip on reality just a grip on radicalized right wing ideologyIslamophobic Media Coverage Is Out Of Control. It Needs To Stop.

He advocates is the continued repression of the Sunni tribes and the rebels who are fighting Assad. They were  our allies but we have changed sides. Any wonder ISIS is expanding and being funded and drawing more support. 

Get rid of Assad should be the initial goal and then let the Sunnis deal with ISIS. Malcolm Turnbull's correct deradicalization of the current situation can only be achieved at a round table. ISIS would be made obsolete if the Sunni majority were allowed power.  55 million Syrians and Iraqis hate  ISIS as much as Assad. Malcolm doesn't have to rule them them out their own people will wit help. Globally, terrorism is on the rise – but little of it occurs in Western countries

The programs  designed to prevent radicalization weren't designed to deradicalize people. If they were Andrew  Bolt and all the ultra racist like him might have some hope. He is merely distorting the facts.

 But it's not surprising given that Bolt has been claiming  that Syrians were probably involved in the Paris massacres  because of the passports located at the scene. Bolt kept pushing that point despite the fact that US intelligence had said from the get go the numbers on them suggested they were definitely fake. A fact that Andrew Bolt chose to ignore.

Kumbayah    stopped Vietnam, and in the end it heals all wars  without it there can be no peace. However if one sees obliteration as the only path to victory  they won't ever  be convinced. They are just  the minority that will eventually   fade away as others have before. Except of course in places like Nth Korea, Paraguay and the like.
