While he can genuinely say he has Muslim friends which Bolt can't he is hardly in the position to be a Hawke when Israel is in fact assisting those we call terrorists, the Al-Nusra Front. If he's calling for a war against those we call terrorists he must be also calling for reprisals against those assisting them.
Is he blind to the fact that Islam is more like Judaism in it's organizational structure than Christianity? As there is no religious head of all Jews there is no religious head of all Muslims. If you want to attack Judaism their is no point attacking a rabbi. I f you want to attack Islam there's no point in attacking the Grand Mufti. Bolt does it however it's totally disingenuous because he's not focusing on a faith he claims causes terrorism. It doesn't. As attack on a Rabbi can't be held as an attack on Judaism or how all Jews think an attack on the Mufti can't be regarded as an attack on Islam or how all groups of Muslims think.
As for Frydenberg we don't know what the phone call was about or even if there really was one. If as Bolt says he crossed the party line he doesn't seem to be supporting Bolt in anyway and a week has gone by. Bolt on the other hand is eager to put words in Josh's Frydenbergs mouth and broadcast them.

Thomas frames his introduction to a letter without any reference but the we should believe him. Which then allows him to produce his letter as some sort of discovery.

Romancing the days gone by hardly attends to the fact that evidence has changed and evidence might change again but the world of scientific attention and facts presented have also changed. Scientists are applying the same rigorous attention to research today as the they did in 1975. What is significantly different today is the voice of a vested minority in decrying that scientific research and with the amount of media space that minority occupies. Science however continues to do what it always has done with better technology, more questions and even closer peer-reviews of it's own work in even stricter measure than opinionators and commentators words are given.

So politics is never about policies and performance but friendships and sides principles run second to to jobs for mates. Furthermore you can look at the world as a glass half full or half empty. Conservatives since Abbott was elected looked at it as half empty and never full. Abbott's gone. Turnbull is in, the polls are positive but Andrew Bolt continues to view everything through the half empty filter. He is never positive. He throws in some music and art to disguise it.
