Abbott did say Turkey should do more to fight ISIS which simply showed
his ignorance to what's going on. Turkey protects ISIS with open supply
lines and the bombing of Kurds. Remember what happened in Kobane. The
Turks just watched.

happening in Israel? Because their religion isn't the crux either. Grey
zones exist were extremists want them destroyed. The was a time when
Australia said poltics and religion were the height of bad manners in

mean suddenly it's supposed to be cool to be un-Australian. ISIS and

How
many Australian Christian church leaders were called to comment on of
Belfast and were abused when they didn't, none. But it was a religious
problem wasn't it? No! How many rabbis are rushed by the media to
comment on Israel? There is a lot of hypocrisy about and we don't ask
why?. Australian Malaysians apparently are duty bound to talk about the
Middle East as are Bosnians and Indians why? Because somebody has a

nature of cause and effect is A comes before B in time that they sit
conjoined in space and time there is a notion of some necessary
connection. The fact that terrorist acts happen is not unusual. The fact
some are caused by Muslims, Christians Hindus Jews Buddhists and

right wing media along with Abbott broadcast them nationally as
"Islamic" and there is a concomitant in the level of fear and
Islamophobia registered in Australia is sufficient to call that
causative. Further since Malcolm Turnbull arrived and his narrative

it shows Abbott's departure did have an influence even over an above
yours Andrew Bolt. We can be assured if News Corp also didn't exist that
level of fear would fade to a pittance.

in yet another survey taken Australians felt safer under Malcolm
Turnbull than under Tony Abbott despite the fact that his anti- Muslim
rhetoric was far less than Abbott's. Yes Muslims did felt a higher
degree of Islamophobia under Tony Abbott. Despite that 87% found a
strong connection to this country and a friendliness. I'm sure Waleed
Aly and his wife Susan feel a strong connection to Australia as strong
as yours despite the fact that you publicly question that strength. I'm
also sure they feel a greater degree of friendliness than you. Yes you
Abbott and your ilk can be blamed for the levels of anti- Muslim
sentiment spread. As you say are the causative factor.
