The Climate Institute, formed in 2005, once had the money and clout to push fake warming scares and dodgy science with the help of Cate Blanchett and Michael Caton. Now it's forced to close because of a lack of cash

Science moves forward not backwards. Are we meant to continue to argue that the world is not flat today some people believe we do?  Are we expected to argue that  CO2 is the reason for the greenhouse effect which has been known for well over half a century some people still argue we do when the science is in? All we are witnessing is the battle between private interest and the public good and it's obvious who Bolt the non scientist and non expert favors. It's not science and the 97% consensus.

 Tony Abbott managed to politicize Science in Australia when he declared Warming to be scientific crap.  He rid science  of Public Interest by closing the Climate Institute and have it fund itself privately. He  defunded the CSIRO forcing it to privatize. The fact is that the Public Interest is not synonymous with and never was with Private Interest However that doesn't mean that Interest in Public Good has wained only that it's less represented in a privatized world. It  isn't an indicator as Bolt suggests that there is no public concern for global warming  or  the science of global warming which  has been proven but which requires public funding. Does Bolt rail about public health no he expects his bins emptied every week because the science of public health is also in.

Defend the free speech muzzle! Trash students!

Journalist Dennis Atkins trashes free speech, the facts and innocent students: "A group of Queensland University of Technology students ignored rooms full of available computers and sought to use the ones in an “Aboriginals only” room and complained about it on the internet. An exchange led to a section 18C legal to-do and ended in tears."

 Andrew Bolt's  arguments against Section 18C and in his case 18D are self serving and hypocritical given the strength of his support for Israel over and above 'Free Speech'. He is a farce . The economy and countless issues like Climate Change, Unemployment Education and Health are ignored while he distracts people with arguments that have less than 10% support. A 'fair go' is made an issue of . Bolt is living proof of the Orwellian misuse of media to beat up fake news in an attempt to control a political narrative.

Turnbull pays penalty for indecision

Just a couple of weeks ago journalists and Liberal MPs were high-fiving Malcolm Turnbull for insulting Bill Shorten. Pure insider play, of no interest to voters. Now the Prime Minister has been smashed for a week, unable to even say if he for or against a cut in penalty rates. THAT is something voters notice, and Liberals yesterday were shocked.

What we have here is a serious case of hiding Abbott's guerilla warfare tactics on the destruction of his own party for ego sake. Without the support of News Corp it would be Tony who?

 

If not Dutton, Morrison and Bishop, then who?

It can't be Malcolm Turnbull, so who? A wavering Graham Richardson cools on Peter Dutton and Scott Morrison, and warms to Julie Bishop. But Bishop is a "whateverist" - the kind of Liberal made redundant by Pauline Hanson. And Richardson himself admits there is one Liberal who has developed the only strategy for victory. Who is that savior?

What did I say yes it's oh Tony is there let's anoint him like Caesar . The only problem is we saw what he was like in opposition a deliverer of fake promises and yes a misogynistic thug. When he became PM the truth shone a light on a Liar , a loner, the very opposite of a team player who hid away in the protective space of the PMO. When he did stick his head out he  he not only made a fool of himself but the country. We became a laughing stock overnight. His support team News Corp fast became embarrassed apologizing and promising that he'd changed. Here we have Andrew Bolt doing exactly what he was paid to do back then raise Lazarus from the dead and he's simply repeating himself now. Female teachers excluded in school with many Muslims

Surrendering our values to a "feminist" faith: "The Punchbowl Boys High School principal and deputy principal have been dumped amid a backlash over the exclusion of female teachers from taking part in ­official events at the largely Muslim public school."

 

Andrew Bolt never takes the time out to explain what it is he means by his meaningless appeal to " unwillingness of the Left to defend our own civilisation and values:" ? Could Andrew Bolt tell us why no sources are named in this story which we are meant to believe is verified journalism. Would it be illegal to name any one for support. What justification has Bolt to ask Abdel Majied anything. Particularly when Bolt puts his family under threat on a daily basis simply by working from home. Domestic violence is not just physical but psychological as well and Bolt has openly admitted he's had to move his family. We have seen the stress caused to his wife simply when anything is printed about his kids. Has any consideration been given to Bolt's domestic violence and his personal disregard for his family. So basically Bolt's story is un-sourced and allows him to ask questions of Majeid mine isn't it's a story from Bolt who admits his wife is stressed but has to deal with it. There is more domestic violence committed by non Muslims in Australia again a fact avoided by Bolt except when he cares to point to and identify indigenous Australians

Bolt is an advocate against "safe schools" pro "free bullying" "silence on child molestation" " personal dislike and avoidance of PTA meetings" However and expert on all of these matters. Strange that he thinks  we should pay to listen.

Dutton and Abbott in pincer attack on Turnbull

Coincidence? Tony Abbott today attacks Malcolm Turnbull, correctly telling him to get tougher in selling the penalty rate cuts.  Meanwhile, Immigration Minister Peter Dutton shows what a tough leader he himself could be, promising another crackdown on Islamist radicals. But the Liberal left's Christopher Pyne is onto them.

It just goes to show Bolt's politics is all about strategy not policy. Say what you will as long as you have the control the public media space or at least a major proportion of it. Without News Corp's amplification and spread this bullshit would have no platform. Democracies don't speak of making it's citizens "stateless" Christopher Pyne is right not Bolt or Dutton unless consideration is being given to turn Australia into a Fascist. Then of course the notion of disappearing citizens wouldn't be given a second thought. As for Bolt's FWC facts take notice " backbenchers have urged Mr Turnbull in private forums as well as at dinners at the Lodge to make a stronger economic case in support of the FWC decision and were told he would take up the fight in coming weeks." how these mysterious 'backbenchers' remain nameless.
 

Andrew Hastie shames the free speech quislings

We have heard the trashy excuses of older Coalition MPs for not fighting for free speech. We have heard the sneering dismissals of journalists prepared to damn innocent students to avoid confronting an evil. Now listen to Andrew Hastie, the future of the Liberal party. His outstanding speech shames the quislings.

Bolt really never offers anything but philosophical rant on his unexplained notion of "free speech" which if he were any different would attempt show examples of what he means.  He is a great supporter of Israel however it's far from a model of excellence.  He doesn't practice 'free speech' it's a commodity a product to be sold.  It's as if all he's really arguing for is a free and privatized market in which to sell  goods and in which Peter Foster Australia's greatest con man is misunderstood. Bolt can't name a society in which "free speech" has ever existed in any noble form that he tells us is possible. Bye Bye I say to his claim to be mannered. So frankly he not defending anything.

 Bolt's happy to see Muslims jailed for supporting ISIS but unhappy for pedophiles to publicly preach pederasty as his friend Milo did. Bolt's such a fair weather friend whose public defense of Milo was so minimal as to go unnoticed. He actually believes no government involvement should take place in advocating pederasty yet he's brutal in his denial of 'safe schools' and the need of government intervention to stop it. He happy and promotes these freedoms but also support surveillance  and our whistle blower laws which would put journalists and leakers with a conscience behind bars for speaking up about Manus and Nauru.

 He's not however against private companies hiring and firing staff because of their political, sexual or religious beliefs but only against government involvement. Is it government involvement when Tony Abbott prevents his ministers appearing on the ABC or demanding what and what can't be said by way of individual conscience? The very notion of Bolt's " free speech" is an illusion. It doesn't exist in the Bolt family home or any context Bolt finds himself in. So much so Bolt is alone struggling with less than 8% of Australians who think like he does. They all have their backs to the wall with minds filled with the vitriol only losers can express when they aren't being heard. If he were anyone that had multicultural Australians in mind  he'd be focusing on the real material issues we all face. Like businesses and the government making huge profits  and the workers going backwards. Those profits haven't been invested for the betterment of all Australians as promised. As for Hastie he doesn't mention that 85% support the RDA and Section 18C either. Democracy isn't the belief in the tail wagging the dog I'm afraid. All Bolt wants is to freely vilify Race Religion and any other minority he happens to choose without the need to verify any facts that he might want to invent. Bolt can do what he wants on his private soapbox in Swanston st and nobody would care. However if he chooses to do it in the press or other corporate platform he need to be aware of the consequences. He is now because Section 18D did not protect him when he was found guilty of LYING.

Who is the ABC's greatest anti-Trump hysteric?

  Critical journalism is what the public expect from their news feeds. Not what the Bolt Report, Spectator, Quadrant, News Corp , Breitbart , The Catallaxy Files or Fox News deliver. Influence is a product to be manufactured and sold for profit which is their primary indicator of success. Remind yourselves just how anti- Trump was last October. Remind yourselves just how often Bolt produces hysteric rants in print but hides them on public radio and TV. Then ask yourselves who is media's most dishonest performer. 

 It's not the ABC that's "hysteric" when Trump is compared with the accepted definition of Mussolini's Fascism. But then Bolt the great debator redefines  most accepted definitions. Indigenous just being another one. He's more Indigenous than Stan Grant and all Aborigines younger than him.
