Andrew Bolt's post is simply a red herring a dead moggy to distract you from the issue.
Bolt's bigotry exists and not behind always behind closed doors. However, it needn't be legislated or protected by the state to be always in clear sight. An enlightened and civil state requires civil and enlightened individuals not a return to the dark ages. The KKK were bigots, and provided space for their hate taught it in their schools and practised it with segregation. Their right to hate was so institutionalized they fought a civil war over it and it's etched in shame today. It wasn't cultural it began with slavery and was economically determined over 400 years. Australians have done the same to its first peoples and our once Colonial beliefs of Terra Nullis be protected by law. Andrew Bolt all our beliefs ought to be protected by law and called freedom of expression.
It's ok he claims because he ought to have the right to choose how his taxes are spent and he certainly doesn't want his supporting homophobic Australian schools. However nor does he want them supporting Safe schools nor aborigines in remote communities or anti-vilifiers like the AHRC. Bolt has a long list of where his taxes should or shouldn't be spent most should be spent on him and not you. He shows just how dysfunctional a free society can be when his favoured minority has prevented our elected government to function for the past 5 years. The Monkey Pod Room is the protected bigots of the Liberal Government that have ensured our elected LNP government hasn't been able to function. Bolt's greater good has been their protection at the expense of the majority consensus. They should have been kicked out long ago or left in order to allow their majority it to do their job and govern after all "we" elected them.
A "we" society doesn't preclude "me" it ensures and guarantees me and every other individual's rights to survive too and wait until the next election. Freedom to disagree and be bigots exists it doesn't need to be protected in law. Bolt actually is speaking of a significantly different system. A system where is a significant minority within the larger society dominates where hierarchy, power, equity and context aren't given any consideration when framing laws on rights in a country that has no Bill of Rights and the Bolt's of this world don't want one.
So why is Bolt so against Socialised Education and so for a "User Pay" system? In 5 years our ranking has slid and he's against the sort that seems so successful in the EU and Scandinavia. Universal education exists and is available to everyone but not everyone individually as it applies in Scandinavian countries. Private education is available there but not subsidised and why should it be? Bigots can be bigots and schooled in Finland but they aren't subsidized with public funds. So is Bolt a cupboard socialist? State-subsidized education is about equity, the best available education standards and opportunity for all individuals to choose what they feel is best for them. The economy of scale ensures the costs are low and the outcome better than what occurs here.
Why if the Scandinavian works so well and Australia is 39th on the comparative scale of 41 OECD countries do we insist that the system we have is the best possible and only needs tweaking? Meritocracy certainly doesn't exist. Parents send their kids to Private schools in the hope of networking rather than learning in the hope that who you know rather than what is closer to the truth. This problem simply doesn't exist in places like Finland where rich, poor, black, white or brindle all and LGBTQIs go to the local community school. If their parents want them to have a religious education well they can send them to a private school. The fact is that not many do. So bigotry is far from institutionalised and equity not sacrificed because everybody is treated as an individual and given opportunity, even if they are refugees from Africa. Will the Ruddock 'Religious Freedom Review' be the bigots' own goal?

If we judge by the experience of LNP promises and Bolt's approvals and hallelujahs since before Abbott became PM they are the lies that Donald Trump seems to have based his road to the presidency. 600 days and he's averaged over 8 per day. The LNP in Australia seems just as active given we only have a 24 mill pop.

Bolt may think he's hilarious but he wouldn't be so full of himself if he were trying to explain the hoax of Climate Change to the citizens of Florida or Georgia at the moment he's so gutsy telling Australian farmers they are wrong when they claim 40 years of experience is better than Bolt's pulpit preaching. Bolt's whacking moles but staying clear of the reports of the worlds foremost experts. It's easy to be heard when your working for an oil man like Murdoch but no longer that easy to be believed.

China is all but forgotten by Bolt when in fact they are currently putting in the world's largest effort to reverse their past emissions and are like the planet in a state of transition Bolt's truly the Dutch with his finger in his hole when he knows a bad case of the runs is about to happen.
Bolt is a thief of Kench's research work and in fact, abuses it to prove his point when the conclusion of Kench's study, in fact, supports the acceleration of the seas rising in the second half of this century and that his findings certainly aren't an indication that current studies and predictions are false.
Bolt's argument about the smallness of Australia's emissions justifies doing nothing totally ignores the concept of a tipping point that point when Australia's effort in global teamwork actually does mean something. Bolt certainly put life into the phrase "going Dutch" doesn't he. He's certainly not laughing at his countrymen is he when today they are foremost experts on flooding rising tides and the changes they see coming due to climate change.

Because it's well known that India and China have accelerated their policies to reduce burning coal and using renewables at a pro rata rate that shames Australia's actions and more so our conversations of intent

After the government's embarrassment of Mitch Fifield's blatant interference with the ABC at the behest and lobbying by the Murdoch Media one would imagine Bolt's pissing into a storm that's not over and one the government doesn't want too much media light shone on it.
Bolt yelling from the bleachers the word "bias" isn't the sort of attention the Liberal's want at the moment and Bolt is playing into the hands of the ALP
. I'm not aware that Andrew Bolt has anything to really say given his record. You'd think he'd be extremely diligent in proving his opinions are based on fact.

The laws about bakers being allowed to refuse service were never in doubt the law about Marriage Equality was about a system preventing equality historically to a minority of people who if they complained had no law s to turn to in their support. The Bakers and the Gay community now do. Gay bakers can be sued for refusing heterosexual but I doubt there would be any mass financial support to back such a legal action.
There's an individual case that can be taken to the Supreme Court and all parties are now able to avail themselves of that opportunity.

I hardly think so. It should have been rocked when those the USA defined "terrorists" publicly were, in fact, being given assistance by the US and Israel. The lies that have been told about why the West has killed millions have gone on for decades. The assassinations by the Israelis that have been overlooked have been reported but withheld in the MSM. The Saudis Osama bin Laden's family were friends and were protected by the Bushes when the Twin Towers came down. There was no collective punishment handed out to the Saudis then and there and won't be now either. What pray tell is Andrew Bolt doing claiming Trump's strategy is "rocked"?

Flipping the system and declaring girls are and have been systemically treating men and boys as victims in of a materialistic society makes a joke of reality. Bolt is basically declaring himself a victim and that his lies were actually truths when challenged by his ex-fiance, Ho Ho. His apology it appears was a forced lie.
Yes, you can always find exceptions but do they constitute a systemic pattern of behaviour over the course of history?
However, Bolt hasn't even found an exception he's found a lawsuit. Isn't that what the people against Kavanaugh were asking a proper judgement to be made and not just one played out by a Republican
Bolt loves to boost himself doesn't he Turnbull made it clear he didn't go on Bolt's show because it had no audience and he wasn't in the business of promoting one eyed Abbott supporters. He went on the ABC because it was the most trusted MSM service in the country. The problem however was Mitch Fifield spoiled the relationship between government and the ABC by over stepping the line and appointing a board that he thought were puppets and when he said jump they'd said how high. It all came to light when Michelle Guthrie was regarded as weak by the staff and too strong by the board Milne certainly didn't give her the credit her strength deserved and the staff representative on the board didn't inform those she represented of how strong she in fact was.
Outside efforts to manipulate the editorial content of the ABC came crashing down on the LNP and if put under an independent magnifying glass it would be made clear there were outside efforts to get rid of it all together from day one of the Abbott government when the lies began to be the ducks on the wall and continued until now with Morisson/ Murdoch.and the IPA continuing the charge. The war is clear with Murdoch's declaration that the ABC needed to be got rid of. Yet again this time around the battle was lost and Murdoch certainly won't see the ABC gone in his lifetime or Bolt's.
His father tried as far back as 1939 others have followed it's a legacy he left the IPA to push and they have failed as well and Bolt's been their boy as well getting his son a job and proving it's who you know and not what that counts.
