Conservative politics in Australia brought us scaremongering phobias after phobias spending so much energy on efforts to tell us who we are not. We weren't Commies but Frank Hardy was one " Beware of Reds under our beds", the CPA and they walk among us lead us to the "domino theory" that took us to Vietnam allowed us to sit and watch 1,000,000 Indonesians get slaughtered without comment. Islamophobia took us to Afghanistan Iraq and has now had us do sorties over Syria and we are only 24 million. All the while Andrew Bolt posting blogs, articles and did editorials that were a witch hunt fueling culture wars to build these phobias to enable extreme right-wing white Christian racist neo-Nazi Nationalists to look respectable, entitled to "free speech". He promoted Lauren Southern and the bankrupt Milo as examples of the respectable voices of hatred fueling cultural and political division.
Bolt's a multitasker of hatred and phobias, anti-Muslim,anti-Lebanese anti-Sudanese anti-gays, anti-climate change anti-frightbat feminists, anti-leftist and now taking up Pauline Hanson's of old chant being anti-Chinese or Sinophobic. When you add up the scores other things Bolt hates about Australia you have to come to the conclusion there's not much he likes. He's simply anti- Australian culture why? Because fragmentation and division is the only way Bolt can keep the unity found in multicultural Australia divided.
Does Bolt rail about the loyalty Israel squeezes out of Jewish Australians? They have recruited Australians to work undercover for them poured millions into Australian associations to lobby on their behalf and if they have felt double-crossed arrested kidnapped dragged them to Israel and locked them away. Even driving them to suicide while continuing on with their daily espionage, lobbying and influencing the decision makers of this country. Packer, Murdoch are up close and personal to the Israeli PM whose just been indicted for being a corrupt promoter of fake news. All the activities Bolt raises here about China are exactly those mirrored by the Israelis, Russians and Americans But you will never find Bolt commenting on that.
He once ran anti -Trump commentaries but then flipped. They've stopped and he's now following the Fox News Corp line lobbying for Trump telling us how clever he is because he gets things right sometimes but then so does a broken clock.
Conservatives have a history of drumming up phobias Howard 's were Boat People, Children Overboard, Hussein's WMDs when global intelligence was telling him the reverse and like his predecessors he too us to war for little more than domestic politics. Do we really need to be that careful that vigilant that we are afraid of peace? If we do haven't we got ASIO, the AFP and ABF and other security departments doing that for us. Well simply to give us divided and it's just another point of division. Fear is a strong wedge and political divider and the extreme right and simply the Liberal Party itself applies it and will to garner support by fuelling fear and suspicion in Australia where ever they can. Bolt says we need to be suspicious trying to recruit us to his way of thinking? Didn't Scott Morrison say he has organizations in place that does that for us? But then the ALP is a China lover and have more in common with them, don't they?
