ASIO's counter-terrorism powers to be widened to catch foreign spies

Given the greatest influence and pressure on Australia has been from the US,UK and Israel will the government make it patently clear who it is they regard as a"foreign spy"? The LNP entertains itself with "increasing National Security" while being caught spying on our allies. Timor Leste an example. One might well ask who is being protected here?
Australian troops have been sent offshore to fight wars in which Australian lives have been sacrificed for little or no benefit other than to the LNP. In the meantime, the opposition has spent its time clearing up their mess returning troops home. Abbott has sent troops to the Middle East on the fake political excuse to "keep us safe" when in fact we have been pressured by the US to do so. Similarly to increase our arms purchases from them for dubious reason and all care and no responsibility on their part.
Innocent individuals have been caught up in recent years in the posturing of Ministers like Kevin Andrews and Peter Dutton throwing their weight around for personal political reasons only. Are these changes being put forward for their protection more than that of the country one might well ask?

Australia's domestic intelligence agency would have the power to forcibly question foreign spies for up to 24 hours, under a plan by the Morrison government to overhaul national security laws
The move to widen the counter-terrorism laws comes amid warnings from security agencies that the level of espionage and foreign interference in Australia is at unprecedented levels.

coronavirus

As of today, 705 out of the 3,711 passengers and crew have been infected, with four deaths. The best data I can find about the critical count is a bit old but puts it at 29.
From those numbers we can do some maths:
Infection rate 705/3711 = 19% or 1 in 5
Critical rate 29/705 = 4.1%
Death rate 4/705 = 0.57%
Critical rate per person 29/3711 – 0.8% 1:125
Death rate per person 4/3711 – 1:1000

Here is the TGA list of medication shortages.
For the critical shortages:
  • 27 products were added in February 2020
  • 16 products were added in January 2020
  • 3 products were added in December 2019
  • 1 product was added in November 2019
  • 6 products were added in October  2019
  • 1 product was added in September 2019
  • 0 products were added in August 2019
  • 1 product was added in July 2019
Part of this trend is inevitable – a product that is in short supply now will eventually get resupplied. However, even allowing for that there is a pretty clear trend noting that penicillin featured heavily. That’s not really a surprise given 3 of the 4 factories that produce penicillin are in China

FAKE NEWS: MEDIA LIES ABOUT TRUMP'S CORONAVIRUS 'HOAX'

Politico's headline is more fake news: "Trump rallies his base to treat coronavirus as a ‘hoax’". The truth: "President Donald Trump slammed Democrats.., saying that their criticism of his administration’s handling of the outbreak is 'their new hoax.'" But so many of the media Left preferred the lie instead.

A Trump distraction to actually a cover the real panic he's feeling and that's that his approval rating will TANK. 5 White House "planning" officials have let it be known that Trump is considering tax & a push for more interest rate cuts as a priority to help with this possible pandemic. Or is it really to reassure the RICH and the Stock Market that everything is okay? If Trump thinks his approval might drop among his supporters, then-White House is going to float it.

WHY WON'T ALBANESE TELL YOU THE COST?

Labour leader Anthony Albanese won't tell you the cost of his new global warming scheme. Why? My editorial from The Bolt Report.

Costing the earth - the price of not acting on climate change - » The Australian Independent Media Network
Bolt's question is the problem. He has a long and bad habit of keeping stories alive that have long ended. There is a transition underway, and it's accelerating globally. It's creating jobs and revenue, yet Bolt makes it sound so one-sided. It actually is as he's in the minority on the political, economic and scientific side of the argument. His arguments were set aside long ago. Banks, Investment funds the Worlds major Corporations are all in favour of divestment away from fossil fuels. Bolt believes he's wiser, but over 65% of Australians disagree. So yes he continues to push shit uphill with a pointed stick.
We have spent billions for no result according the Bolt well how easy ist it for him to say that when the documented problem has taken some 200 years to create and can only be reversed with long term global actions which simply put Bolt ignores that's the nature of a man who claims let's think about this and not be in a hurry despite the fact Global CO2 levels are along with the temperature of the planet at record highs. This is the dude who spent half if not more this century telling us the planet is "cooling". Now he's denying that and pleading for sensible discussion. Well, there's nothing sensible about that plea when only 3% of the world's experts gain 50% of his media time denying that there is a major concern.

Did the LNP weigh the cost of sending Australians to WW1 & 2 or even Vietnam? Did they cost the stopping of boats or did they simply base their decisions it on the value of political advantage? They wasted $50 mill in a deal with Cambodia to resettle 1x asylum seeker and billions policing "asylum seekers" how? By simply calling them "illegals" and breaking international laws they signed up to.

Is Scott Morrison currently doing a Cost/Benefit Analysis on Covid-19 or acting based on political visibility, The cost of doing nothing as he did the bushfires put him behind the 8 ball? It seems if Bolt's economic rationalism was applied to his family in any emergency. He'd be left doing nothing. The cost of doing nothing in an emergency generally winds up greater than doing something.

Andrew Bolt doesn't address the question of the consequence of doing nothing in either the Coronavirus or Climate Change he'd prefer nothing done but would the world be better off? Remember the issue of Ebola Bolt simply wanted to shut the door when all scientific evidence and history screams out no fight. The planet won't heal itself. The fact is the intention and the need to Improve things outweighs all of Bolt's efforts of insisting individuals and governments ought to do sweet FA. Imagine that's Andrew Bolt in an emergency. He was about when the car was invented too backing the horse but ignored then as well as the "alarmist".

Currently, his grandchildren are of no concern to him as he hasn't any. Why does this man so plagued by self-interest dream of retirement in a far more Socialist country than Australia? Albanese certainly doesn't? Who is the more enormous hypocrite here standing on their soapboxes? Bolt certainly doesn't own his, which makes him suspect from the start. Who is actually arguing for the benefit of the common good and who just for their personal self-interest? So intimate it might include inaction should something happen to his family.
Bolt works from home and has bragged that he has come under such personal harassment and threat he's had to move whole his family. Strange the man hasn't considered not working from home and avoiding the pain and suffering he puts his family under. No, he continues to do what he wants at their expense. A cost to them he doesn't consider and he claims he's an economic rationalist.
