A health crisis is rapidly morphing into an economic crisis and so far, the US response has left much to be desired.(with 3% deaths recorded)
Trump claimed concern about the virus was the Democrats’ “new hoax”, after the Russia investigation and then impeachment. “Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus,” Trump's considering another round of tax cuts. As if cutting taxes would somehow motivate people fearful of contagion to venture into shopping malls, movie theaters and jet airplanes. As if pumping up the stock market is the most important first step to dealing with a public health emergency. 
 All government health officials and scientists who have information about the virus to first clear their statements with the White House. Controlling the flow of information within an administration that is not especially renowned for truth-telling doesn’t seem calculated to increase the public’s confidence in what they hear.
 A new and especially virulent contagious virus is bad enough. That it is spreading at a time when the US government is headed by an incompetent and vindictive paranoid who denies it, blames his opponents for it, and dismantles what’s left of the institutions that could contain it, makes the danger far worse.

How interesting is this useless banter by two now paid conservative commentators father and son?  Insider Trading certainly doesn't apply to the stock market alone but there it's under scrutiny. What we are witnessing is the Reality of Nepotism it's who you know not what and in this case, it's 101 Nepotism in your face. The witnessing of a practical reality exercise. 
Like Trump Daddy Bolt got son James the job at the IPA and now dad is selling, grooming and boosting young James in his own image using his position and other peoples money. That term "it's who and not what you know" certainly comes into relief. It insured dad's career which was cemented by marriage and longevity rather than skill and now it's going to be the way of his son. Peter James Bolt's partner is consistently missing in these encounters. Positions not earned are explicit it seems now that Trump has made them public it has, in this case, lifted to the career paths of these two otherwise working-class men who work for billionaires into the light. Is it the Australia Andrew Bolt believes in can you imagine the outcry if anyone on the ABC was found to be doing the same.
 Mark Colvin springs to mind and Bolt's efforts in the sacking of his son spring to mind.
