News Corporation is the latest international media company to reveal that it has been hit hard by COVID-19, with third-quarter accounts showing a $US1 billion ($1.5 billion) loss.
It is a setback that spurred Rupert Murdoch to join the growing list of senior executives forgoing their bonuses for this year.
But while the US, like the rest of the world, is feeling the heat from COVID-19, much of News Corp's pain came from Australia.
As the owner of 65 per cent of pay-TV operator Foxtel, News Corp's accounts give an insight into how Foxtel is travelling.

And it's not pretty.

Andrew Bolt is an agnostic according to Andrew Bolt. He damns ex-priest Paul Bongiorno and says he makes him feel sick for not "confessing". It sounds as if Bolt is claiming to be a priest himself demanding Bongiorno perform an act of confession. Bolt would love to hand out his penance. 

 

Given individuality can't be understood without its social context Pell's character can't be understood outside the Catholic Church. He is a reflection of that institution the church itself.  50 + years and not a rebel shows he was highly influenced. In other words, Pell was socialised and regarded as such to be given the powers he had. Bolt wants us to believe he wasn't that Pell's character was formed in a bubble and that he was an exception to everything social psychology has taught us. If Pell were such an exception he would have left the church or been kicked out unsuitable. As did Bongiorno years earlier. However, Pell didn't and he accepted and helped hide its immoralities. In fact Pell admitted as much.

Bolt's like a duck on water paddling as hard as he can to please the Murdoch's and repeat what head office is doing, why? Because Australia is an economic rock around the neck of Murdoch media. News Corp Australia and Foxtel will have to change or go under. Andrew Bolt is an active part generating that loss and write down of not millions but billions of dollars. No matter how much the LNP has been strangling the ABC it's Murdoch media that keeps sinking.
