Riots didn't escalate but progress was in fact made after the second night of unrest and that police and protester in fact bonded with arresting officers. It would appear it's Trump who's beating the fake drum.
Even in Washington itself officers and protesters kneeled together in unity and respect for George Floyd. Any wonder Trump took to his bunker.
