‘I was wrong to raise it’: PM apologises over harassment claim

Scott Morrison was taken to task by News Corp after his claim about the harassment of a journalist in the women’s toilet - which the media company’s executive chairman said was ‘simply untrue’ .

Warning of heavy rain, flooding for Victoria as NSW storm tracks south

A severe weather warning has been issued for parts of Victoria, as the weather system drenching NSW moves down.

Snakes on a floodplain: Reptiles invade NSW rescue rafts

Fire & Rescue NSW crews found snakes in the boats as they rescued a family in Sancrox, NSW.

Firefighters rescuing a family-of-six as the Hastings River rose towards their home had to pull snakes out of life rafts before their paddle back to safety.

However, it does make one wonder how lax things must be at NewsCorp when a complaint like that is mentioned in the PM’s press conference. I mean, who told him? If the Liberals can keep a sexual assault so confidential that Scott Morrison never hears about it, how did he find out about this one? Surely not gossip because he never comments on that, so it must have been official. Still, criticising the culture at a Murdoch operation is a brave move. A very brave move. He’ll be gone within the week!

FAKE NEWS & MISINFORMATION EXPOSED

Andrew Bolt no longer writes his blog and proves to be even less essential to everyone.

But let’s stop for a moment to consider what really happened on the night in question. Was the desk really defiled by this man? Maybe. But maybe not. Let’s be brave enough to ask some probing questions about this sordid affair.

Today’s ‘bitter’ politics mean Morrison can ‘never be sorry enough’: Andrew Bolt

Today’s ‘bitter’ politics mean Morrison can ‘never be sorry enough’: Andrew Bolt

The “bitter and unforgiving” politics of today have made it so a guy like Prime Minister Scott Morrison can “never be sorry enough,” according to Sky News host Andrew Bolt. The prime minister was called upon this month to “show that he cared” about women feeling like victims, feeling oppressed and marginalised, and “he failed,” Mr Bolt said. “The criticisms of Morrison have been largely exaggerated, unfair, politicised - he was being scapegoated”. “But Morrison’s attempts to diffuse this gathering crisis were clumsy to say the least, and dumb.” Even though Mr Morrison has “bared his soul” and is now “giving in to the whole agenda of the left”, he is still getting “smashed all over Twitter”. “Here’s one lesson to Scott Morrison: no matter how sorry you want to seem, such is the politics of today – the bitter and unforgiving politics of today – a guy like Morrison can never be sorry enough.”

Bolt's so confused he thinks Morrison is Tony Abbott and is having a leap back to the future moment. Remember when Andrew Bolt used to tell us how sorry Tony Abbott was  and that he would change.  He did it on a weekly sometimes almost daily basis and like Morrison Abbott would then eat his own boots again. Those were the days Bolt considered himself Abbott's media voice.

Criticisms have been unfair and "politicized" says Bolt who practices the art of Buddhist unattached, impartial, critical opinion taught him by his zen masters at News Corp and the IPA. Bolt today calmly flips and tells Morrison (his student grasshopper) his  efforts were effen dumb. Then master Bolt shows us by example what dumb really is. Never say sorry, be like ME is Master Bolt's advice. Unfortunately it seems there are a numbers of Bolt like advisers in the PMO  and Morrison's bed already doing just that. Bolt unfortunately tries to show the PM how things are done but there will never be another Tony Abbott.

ABC gave a ‘very slippery’ answer on Capitol rioter payment accusation

ABC gave a ‘very slippery’ answer on Capitol rioter payment accusation

ABC’s David Anderson gave a “very slippery” answer when questioned about the payment of a far-left wing activist for footage of the Capitol Hill riot, according to Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton. During Senate Estimates on Tuesday, Liberal Senator Eric Abetz quizzed ABC Managing Director David Anderson about the fact the ABC reported Capitol Hill rioters were far-right, yet failed to acknowledge the activist who was payed for footage (John Sullivan) was a left wing activist. Responding to the questions from Senator Abetz, Mr Anderson said Sullivan was not used for talent and “was not interviewed for the program”. Mr Houghton told Sky News host Andrew Bolt this was a “slippery answer”. “This is a riot – an insurrection – where five people died, this man was profiting off that … they knew that, they knew what he was saying in it, and then they put it to air anyway and payed this man,” he said. “And then when he (Anderson) is grilled about it, he goes ‘well we only used three minutes’ as if that’s the point, as if the point isn’t that you’re financing this individual, and then he takes questions on notice and he’s completely unapologetic”. “I was completely bewildered, and I thought it was very slippery.”

How fucking old is this? It's a case of the kettle calling the shiny pot black. Andrew Bolt's whole show is based on quid pro quo guests invited on for more quid than pro. Milo, Southern, Cotteral, Dean, Cousens all welcomed to Sky. However when on the nose dumped.  Ther's a caravan of guests from the far right trying to be relevant and essential and Bolt gives them air. Remember the Christchurch massacre it was Sky News that NZ cancelled because Bolt's organization saw money in it and they were enablers and radicalizers of extremists like the shooter

Proof, what we have here is a very biased, not so independent Sky News editor, Jack Houghton playing the role of 'guest'. Houghton isn't sacrificing his pay, that's for sure, to make skewed  comments for Bolt and fill otherwise empty space. Houghton isn't about to criticize Fox Corp let alone Sky News's bias to the quizzing of the ABC's CEO by no less than the Grand Inquisitor for the LNP Eric Abetz other wise known as the woman-hater disguised as their champion in the ACT. What's their complaint? John Sullivan the ABC's witness to the Capitol Hill riots was right and the ABC was right showed it. Sky's showing of mass murder in NZ was wrong and that didn't seem to fuss Bolt as much as right and correct news  does, why would that be?

The FBI haven't arrested any one  from the Left as they were neither black, BLM nor ANTIFA. However, that didn't prevent Fox or Sky saying they were and were Right-Wing in disguise. Those caught, arrested and shown on the ABC claimed they were there on the exclusive invitation of President Trump. To date 400 are being processed.

However it seems Sky News were there for the money but not the news or information. If they weren't there with Bolt on the ground they certainly borrowed footage from their mother ship Fox Corp and didn't have to pay top price if anything at all for it. Fox of course were doing their best not to report that "the Right" were involved and what was witnessed. According to them it was an ANTIFA false flag. If possible Eric Abetz would have questioned the FBI as suspect too. Because they like the ABC simply didn't or couldn't find witnesses from both sides of politics to charge or arrest. Only one side stood out and it wasn't left-wing.

'How weak is Joe Biden'

‘How weak is Joe Biden’

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says he thinks Joe Biden’s team is “protecting” the 78-year-old who seems at times to even “forget who is actually the president”. “How weak is Joe Biden,” Mr Bolt said. “No American president in the past century has gone longer than 33 days before holding their first press conference. “But Joe Biden has waited nearly double that. He won't hold his first press conference until Thursday, which is 64 days after taking office,” Mr Bolt said. “But the biggest question right now about Biden's weakness is about his handling of illegal immigrants. “Just before becoming president, he appealed to the left by attacking president Donald trump ... attacking his tough controls on the Mexican border, and Biden all but invited illegal immigrants to come on over the border if he became president". "And illegal immigrants believed him, especially when Biden as president scrapped many of Trump's border policies. "There are now more illegal immigrants crashing the Mexican border into the United States than in 20 years, and 15,000 unaccompanied children are now in detention." Mr Bolt spoke to Sky News Washington Correspondent Annelise Nielsen about these issues.

When Murdoch media interviewed Trump this week he spat the dummy because the interviewer referred to him as the ex-President. Trump wanted her sacked. It's true unlike Biden Trump simply closed the White House press briefings down altogether. No, one has ever done that before.

Biden was left a shit load of work to do unlike Trump he attends the daily security briefings in order to do the job unlike Trump who didn't.Trump actually believed he was better informed by Fox's morning show.

Bolt uses the Australian or Dutton term "illegal immigrants" while the rest of the world prefers the convention and agrees they are "Asylum Seekers".  So why do these "Asylum Seekers" exist in the first place? They only exist on the Southern border and aren't Mexican. Well due to Trump's Foreign Policies which have interfered with the politics and economics of Latin American States. Refugees from Venezuela, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador have crossed borders seeking refuge from the havoc Trump's foreign policy actions have caused. Yes Biden first step has been to stop the cruelty at the border that has Bolt justifies by falsely calling refugees "illegals" even before they are assessed. If there is anything wrong it's Bolt's false and fake reporting offering no real explanation as to why they are there in the first place.

For a 'supposedly smart' country we don't spend much time on water sustainability

For a ‘supposedly smart’ country we don’t spend much time on water sustainability

Charles Sturt University's Research Professor of Agriculture Jim Pratley says Australia is a "supposedly smart country" however "we don’t spend a lot of time trying to make our water supply sustainable". “Since 2000 we’ve had eight drought years in south eastern Australia and those drought years, we lose roughly half the gross value of production of agriculture," he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. “In New South Wales that’s worth about $12 billion in a good year. If you multiply eight by six you get nearly $50 billion of foregone revenue. “I have a view that dams without water in the them are just holes. We’ve got a lot of dams that go pretty dry in those dry years. "We need to work out a way in which we can keep them at least half-filled so that we can keep productivity and jobs and economic development taking place.”

It's more than odd the professor is invited onto the Bolt Report to contradict what Bolt has been saying for years. We don't suffer drought in this country only natural weather events and  farmers who report these events as 'extreme' are lying or simply ignorant. Bolt furthermore generally reports Australia has more water than it needs and seems to have no problem with it being sold to other countries and  to private commercial enterprises to package it in plastic and sell it back to us to drink for a profit. No problem at all with the plastic left behind for us to clean up. That expense we can share but not the water.

Keeping the ABC on the 'straight and narrow' is a 'long, long row to hoe'

Keeping the ABC on the ‘straight and narrow’ is a ‘long, long row to hoe’

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says trying to keep the ABC on the "straight and narrow" is a "long, long row to hoe". Liberal Senator Andrew Bragg said he examined the case for ABC's partiality during a Senate committee hearing but noted ABC boss David Anderson's immunity claim over the Senate committee meant he would not be drawn on all matters. "The ABC must be impartial in its dealings and I have been concerned for some time there are many instances where the ABC is not impartial, so I have favoured the model you see in the UK where the BBC will pull people off Twitter if they go outside the bounds of editorial standards," he said. "Testing that today with David Anderson was interesting. I asked about a few cases in the last few weeks. He wouldn't be drawn on all of them but he did agree one of the lawyers that worked on the Four Corners case who had described the government as fascist had disappointed him."

I'd be more than disappointed in my lawyer if thay called the actions of the LNP as "fascist". Particularly during these past 8 years. Their actions have been more than fascist. Fascists favor private enterprise and corporate government, yes. However, they don't set out to destroy all public utilities or independent statutory bodies entirely because there are plenty of things private enterprise doesn't want to do.

The LNP how ever is hell bent on ABC's destruction just as the Tories are the BBC in the UK. They want the media to be more American. In fact they have just given a licence to Murdoch to create a Fox like Channel in the UK. Yes, to Murdoch who they judged barely suitable to hold a press licence in the UK and almost jailed him. Compared with today the Tories and the LNP of the past were Left wing rather than the wannabe totalitarians holding office today. Interests of the nation had a place over the interests of the party back then. Howard passed gun control Morrison wouldn't today. Thank god for the ABC and BBC today's right-wing still wouldn't dare run an open election campaign policy on shutting down the ABC. They have however been doing it by stealth instead.
