Talk about the ABC's groupthink. Why did more than 20 ABC presenters and editors promote the fake claims of "Aboriginal historian" Bruce Pascoe, but not a single one of the ABC's 4600 warn he was actually a giant hoax?
THE ABC is not just wickedly biased. The Bruce Pascoe hoax is more proof that it’s also strangled by groupthink, where only one opinion seems allowed.
This groupthink is a danger to our democracy when it’s in our national broadcaster, the country’s biggest media outfit, but how often have we seen it already?
So many ABC journalists, led by crusading reporter Louise Milligan, demonised Cardinal George Pell as a paedophile, without a single one of the ABC’s 4600 staff publicly telling the truth – that he was as innocent as the High Court finally said, seven judges to zero.
We still see so many ABC journalists push the global warming scare, without a single one of the ABC’s 4600 staff publicly telling the truth – that this “climate emergency” is a wild exaggeration, with people living longer and fewer people than ever dying in natural disasters.
With Bruce Pascoe, it’s the same weird same-same.
Wow Bolt actually believes Sutton an Walshe have legitimised his pathological obsession with Bruce Pascoe being a fraud. Bolt certainly believes in "critical rage" and holds it foremost and above " critical thought". The reality however, is they haven't legitimized Bolt. They do the opposite and regard him as a simpleton of the worst kind. Moreover, they agree with Pascoe's main premise which racists and white supremacists like Andrew Bolt have always denied. That the complexities and sophistication of Aboriginal cultures and past have never adequately been explained. It's never been an inclusive part of our history. Their claim that Pascoe's work lacks the rigor and the attention of theirs isn't the outright denial of his work that Bolt claims it is. Even Pascoe recognizes that and welcomes Sutton's and Walshe's addition to the debate he began in 2014.
Nevertheless their book, not read by Bolt obviously, is the trigger for Bolt's current mental, and ballistic breakdown posting on his blog. Particularly when in recent days he's been silent and MIA . That's the blog he claims to be the "most read in Australia" which has nothing in it. Sutton and Walshe are the unwitting spark for Bolt's current mental breakdown. The pressing of his internal nuke button, and wish to see the 4600 ABC staff vaporised for not reporting his truths. Like the ABC woman, lawyer, journalist, leading the admonishing of George Pell. How dare Milligan speculate on Pell's guilt on moral grounds even before a High Court announced that his guilt couldn't in law be proved. Remember what Bolt thought and how he reacted to the law when it proved him guilty of Racial Vilification, false facts, wilful bigotry and lazy journalism ? Then the law was an ass.
Further, Bolt gives one the sense that the ABC's 4600 staff are little more than a plague, a danger not our but to his "truth" that "climate emergency" is simply a "wild exaggeration" with people living longer, and fewer dying in natural disasters directly correlated. With Pascoe being same same same exaggerator and Bolt the rigorous journalist commentator. The judge Morecai Bromberg certainly didn't describe Bolt in those terms did he. Awards were handed out today. Bolt unfortunately hasn't been gonged for in recognition of anything by even those who use him.
Has anybody heard the ABC froth at the mouth as rigorously as Andrew Bolt does with as little information? Julia Baird was proved right and Bolt wrong when she commented on research that showed the proclivity of white Christian men to domestic violence in the US, and it's likelihood of being true here. Has anyone ever heard Bolt admit to being wrong? Research has just shown Baird was on the money. The Anglicans are more prone to domestic violence than the general public. Has anyone heard Bolt respond and say that he was wrong or anyone at Sky? Has he ever claimed he doesn't hold the moral high ground? That 'might isn't right' or ' Western white not right' even that Christ wasn't an Aryan? Bolt's claim to agnosticism doesn't quite cut it.
The teachings of Andrew Bolt are demanded pride of place in our Education system. It's a principle by which Andrew Bolt and the current Education Minister Alan Tudge standby. Anything else placed before it is heresy. That's an autocrat demanding group think isn't it? If he had his way it would be enshrined in law as is being currently done by Republicans in the USA. Their Group think comes about not by the diversity of individual thoughts and agreement to problem solve and progress by acting toward a common good and value but by the competition and dominance in a manipulated market place of ideas. Which Bolt claims doesn't exist now yet in which he's a leader.
BRUCE PASCOE: END OF OUR BIGGEST LITERARY HOAX
Bruce Pascoe is the biggest literary hoax in Australia's history. This "Aboriginal historian" and his bizarre claim that Aborigines were actually farmers were treated as true by politicians, journalists, the ABC and arts bureaucracies. Conservatives warned for nearly two years he was a fake, and now two Left-wing newspapers finally admit it.
So called “Aboriginal historian” Bruce Pascoe pulled off the biggest hoax in Australia’s literary history. But now the jig is up, as even the woke Sydney Morning Herald and Age admit Pascoe told untruths.
The news on Saturday came like a thunderclap. Until now, these two Left-wing newspapers – along with the ABC – had protected the snowy-bearded 73-year-old sage.
Just last Australia Day, the SMH had this supposedly “Yuin, Bunurong and Tasmanian man” write an article about our white sins.
But at the weekend the SMH and Age reported that impeccably credentialed Leftist academics – anthropologist Peter Sutton and archaeologist Keryn Walshe – had a new book detailing how Pascoe had cheated in writing his bestseller Dark Emu.
The "woke" SMH and the Age owned by Ch9 and headed by Peter Costello are "Left-Wing" media according to Andrew Bolt who by saying so admits he's not the conservative he has all these years maintained to be. He's currently so right-wing with his back so up against the wall that nobody, but nobody, not even neo-Nazis are more right wing than he is. Consequently, everybody is a leftie according to Bolt and under his bed. This Rumpelstiltskin dance is coming from Australia's least believed journalist, commentator, working for the least trusted and respected media corporation in the Anglo-speaking world. Whose just reported it's value has fallen to zero in the UK and going down here in Australia.
Bolt's is neither the voice of intelligence nor a skerrick of rational analysis but just an emotional ploy. It is the voice not of a winner but a loser, driven by chicken little fear. It might sound like joy but it's not it's the cry of fear because Bolt knows he's bullshitting and wrong. Sutton and Walshe haven't cancelled Bruce Pasco but agree with him. They all agree that Indigenous culture and history in Australia has been and is oversimplified and has been since invasion day. It's an over simplified history supported by morons like Andrew Bolt for political and material gain. But that has been changing.
Bolt's efforts aren't original they are a carbon copy of what Tucker Carlson and Hannity have been doing at Fox News in America. All they want is a small number of Australians to swing to or stay on the side of the political right and maintain their belief in white supremacy and it's myth driven history. A belief however, that is fast being replaced with a fear in consequent loss of privilege for middle class dirt bags like Bolt and mining corporations want for land. Bolt is in short a head kicker for the Aussie version of the KKK.
As for Sutton and Walshe they are welcome in Pascoe's world because all three believe in the same thing that Aboriginal Australian's Culture and history has simply been over simplified by white head kickers like Andrew Bolt and Conservatives. Pascoe,Sutton and Walshe might disagree on the direction the methodology of what they are doing but not the reason for doing it. Bolt isn't even in touch with their universe. He's simply trying to divide it.
