• socially distance: that reduces the density of the population and limits the availability of new hosts;
• wear a mask: that reduces the ability of the virus to move between hosts;
• get tested and socially isolate if positive: that actively reduces the carrying capacity;
• and get vaccinated: that increases the number of people who have an immune system that can recognise and fight the virus and once again reduces carrying capacity.

I hope this helps to understand a little of the maths behind the management of the epidemic. It’s not guesswork The logistic equation can take much more complex forms and I’m certain that the modelling being used by decision-makers does just that, but the basic form of the equation is beautifully simple and clear. Patients in parts of the state are waiting three years for treatment and key services for children are being shelved as the dental system struggles during the pandemic.

A spokesman for Health Minister Martin Foley said  “ we know there is more to do, which is why it is critical that the Commonwealth government reverses their 30 per cent reduction in public dental services and commits to a long-term funding arrangement”.

The US was massively bombing the country every year, the only reason that it was still able to be there. There was a morass of corruption and incompetence. Does anyone notice that there is no mention of evacuating Australia’s Afghan interpreters as ‘announced’ by PM Morrison. Morrison flew in announcements to save himself.

The U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan will be evacuated of all but a handful of key personnel within the next 36 hours, and all American diplomats should be out of the country entirely by August 31, multiple security and diplomatic sources in Washington and Kabul told CBS News. The evacuation comes as a U.S. defense official says it could be just a matter of days before the Taliban takes control of the capital, a city with more than 4 million people.
