Fighting Fake News with REAL 28/9/21; AUKUS; Media, Protest and Strikes;

"AUKUS is the next step in a new cold war with China," said one opponent of the trilateral agreement. "It makes the Indo-Pacific, and the world, a more dangerous, not a more stable, place."

UK Labour Conference Condemns AUKUS as Threat to World Peace

 No mention of the fact that the electorate supports the government actions being taken and not the "wildcat far-right" chaotic protests being witnessed. One might ask "is this a Murdoch masthead?"
The Examiner has been described as and is widely regarded as conservative.[21]  "When it came to the editorial page, Anschutz's (the owners') instructions were explicit – he 'wanted nothing but conservative columns and conservative op-ed writers,' said one former employee."[3]

To watch what is happening in Australia right now is to watch a once-liberally democratic nation devolve into outright tyranny. Citizens in New South Wales and Victoria are being locked inside their homes and monitored by police, and anyone who dares protest the states’ strict coronavirus lockdown measures faces imprisonment, hefty fines, and even brutal physical attacks by law enforcement — all in response to a relatively minor outbreak of new cases among a population that is largely vaccinated.

 Mainstream media, and even the ABC's Insiders have made a concerted effort to deny the respectability of Unions and the actual actions they took during the recent protests. The kneejerk reaction of our media to the chaos witnessed was in contradiction to the CFMEU Union's and ACTU's response to the chos witnessed. Australia's media has become right-wing in the way it delivers news, information and analysis to us. The construction industry unions were not the organizers of these far right-wing protests against Dan Andrews. One wonders of the coincidence of Matthew Guy's arrival as LNP opposition leader and the sudden upsurge of this far right-wing chaos let loose on our streets. It was unlike any genuine protests seen in recent times.

A history of united Labour action not taught in schools around the world and what legitimate union action looks like. At time governments and Corporations leave workers no alternative but to take strike action. Despite the way the media will report it.

 When Tramways Union secretary Clarrie O’Shea refused to pay fines imposed on his union, the authorities imprisoned him for contempt of court. The move triggered a general strike that freed O’Shea and turned Australia’s anti-union laws into a dead letter.

The virus Australia has lived with for 200 plus years has never been cured of or even really addressed. If coupled with Covid and income disparity a disaster will be witnessed on a grand scale.
