A group of former US officials and experts has written to the US president, Joe Biden, warning the deal could threaten US national security by encouraging hostile nations to obtain highly enriched uranium (HEU). At the same time, the former Australian prime minister Malcolm Turnbull says if Australia does buy the submarine reactors without a domestic nuclear industry – and therefore the nuclear expertise – it will be “more plug and pray” than “plug and play”. The former Nato deputy secretary general Rose Gottemoeller has called on Australia to make a new deal with France to use their uranium, which is not weapons grade. That would heal the rift with France and ease nuclear proliferation fears, she said.

Berejiklian’s resignation ignites mainstream media lovefest

When IBAC did notify NSW- Media

The resignation of Gladys Berejiklian has resulted in mainstream media revealing their apathy towards corruption and their Liberal Party bias.

Andrews government knew three years ago about problems at centre of corruption probe

 WHEN IBAC DIDN'T NOTIFY VICTORIA-Media

The fact that Peter Costello's Ch9 have no evidence of what IBAC is doing never prevents them ( I don't really know, Nick McKenzie etal ) printing bullshit as fact. All their "journalists" need say is "according to sources and records obtained by The Age." Needless to say these sources, and they are wide and varied, remain unnamed and tightly held.  Yet the journalists would have us believe they are inside the very minds of the IBAC commissioners and know them better than they know themselves. "The Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission now intends to hold public hearings into"....

The greater liklihood however is that Matthew Guy is back and the LNP dirt brigade has become more active in order to boost Guy's seemingly tougher stance in opposition than Michael Obrien's. Little Matt needs a boost given the shellacking he took at the last election.

The problem for The Age is that they need to be providing news for all Victorians and not just a few. We have noticed that the print version now looks more like a LNP leaflet than a newspaper purchased for it's crosswords, word puzzles and Sodoku.

Victoria’s anti-corruption commission will hear evidence during about how public grants to ethnic groups were used for political purposes.

Andrews government knew three years ago about problems at centre of corruption probe

Gladys, whose involvement with a corrupt boyfriend where she either deliberately ignored his behaviour or was dangerously incompetent at noticing, resigns before an investigation and there’s a general bashing of teeth at the unfairness of it all. This is the middle of a pandemic and changing leaders is not something anyone should want. Dan, who may or may not be appearing in an IBAC investigation which may or may not be about his behaviour, is « refusing » to stand aside and « stubbornly » continuing to lead his state and refusing to answer questions that may be a breach of the law were he to talk about the inquiry which may or may not exist. We’ll probably know more in the coming days. And if it’s discovered that Andrews has appeared then it’s only right that he should be placed in the stocks and publicly flogged, even if he was only appearing as a witness where he is cooperating to help bring to light branch stacking in the Labor Party. (Branch stacking doesn’t occur in the Liberal Party; they only have aggressive recruitment).

"AUKUS is the next step in a new cold war with China," said one opponent of the trilateral agreement. "It makes the Indo-Pacific, and the world, a more dangerous, not a more stable, place."

UK Labour Conference Condemns AUKUS as Threat to World Peace

No mention of the fact that the electorate supports the government actions being taken and not the "wildcat far-right" chaotic protests being witnessed. One might ask "is this a Murdoch masthead?"
The Examiner has been described as and is widely regarded as conservative.[21]  "When it came to the editorial page, Anschutz's (the owners') instructions were explicit – he 'wanted nothing but conservative columns and conservative op-ed writers,' said one former employee."[3]

To watch what is happening in Australia right now is to watch a once-liberally democratic nation devolve into outright tyranny. Citizens in New South Wales and Victoria are being locked inside their homes and monitored by police, and anyone who dares protest the states’ strict coronavirus lockdown measures faces imprisonment, hefty fines, and even brutal physical attacks by law enforcement — all in response to a relatively minor outbreak of new cases among a population that is largely vaccinated.

What’s happening in Australia will happen in the US if we, too, lose the plot on COVID | Washington Examiner

Mainstream media, and even the ABC's Insiders have made a concerted effort to deny the respectability of Unions and the actual actions they took during the recent protests. The kneejerk reaction of our media to the chaos witnessed was in contradiction to the CFMEU Union's and ACTU's response to the chos witnessed. Australia's media has become right-wing in the way it delivers news, information and analysis to us. The construction industry unions were not the organizers of these far right-wing protests against Dan Andrews. One wonders of the coincidence of Matthew Guy's arrival as LNP opposition leader and the sudden upsurge of this far right-wing chaos let loose on our streets. It was unlike any genuine protests seen in recent times.

A history of united Labour action not taught in schools around the world and what legitimate union action looks like. At time governments and Corporations leave workers no alternative but to take strike action. Despite the way the media will report it.

When Tramways Union secretary Clarrie O’Shea refused to pay fines imposed on his union, the authorities imprisoned him for contempt of court. The move triggered a general strike that freed O’Shea and turned Australia’s anti-union laws into a dead letter.

Fighting Fake News with REAL 21/9/21; A Periscope view of the Media's opinions

Media Opinion of Morrison's LNP remains lower than a snakes belly or should we say the depth a nuclear sub can dive, The Depth of Despair?

Come the next election, it’s a fair bet that Scott Morrison will use the pandemic as the reason he and his Coalition partner have been unable to deliver on anything or appropriately act on many unfinished reports, too numerous to mention. Such as how much the Prime Minister knew about Brittany Higgins’ rape allegations. Too busy on COVID will be the shrill word of the next campaign.

They will blame the pandemic for nine years…

After spending 9 years as a Queensland copper, Peter Dutton was elected to Federal parliament at the age of 30 and he has been bumbling around pissing people off ever since.

Dutton does defence

Scott Morrison’s three ring circus last week unveiling an awkwardly named pact with the United States and Britain, at the expense of France, isn’t looking quite like the winner he had hoped. The greatest collateral damage of AUKUS is to the Prime Minister’s personal credibility.

Paul Bongiorno: Scott Morrison’s credibility torpedoed by the French

Nuclear sub plan sees Australia’s reputation take a dive

Morrison single-handedly has managed to screw over both the French and the Americans the French because he was, too weak, too two-faced and failed to notify them until the day before the public announcement about AUKUS that he officially tore up their contract, and the Americans because he had told or Biden left it to him to sort out the French "diplomatically". But, Morrison in typical form did neither, and the French reaction has come as a total surprise to Biden whose policy has been to "strengthen all alliances and not fuck them". He now has let it be known that he will personally ring Macron to smooth over the shit storm "his pal down under" has handed him. As usual Morrison chose not to hold the hose and allowed the blunder to grow to thunder clap. Morrison focuses only on his own domestic image and thought this would put him in the good books with the electorate. However and yet again, he was sooo effen wrong.

He's now allied us with an America divided an America at war with itself and has actually increased our likelihood of war. He's aligned himself, not with a united USA but, with a nation forever at war that will now tell Australia what to do rather than merely ask us. We will like other American alliances be told to jump because of AUKUS  and be expected to say "how high". That's hardly our defence but more an American offence policy should Trump or the Republican Party come back in 2024, 28, 32..... Besties with Kim Jong-un no doubt a bonus.

Opinion

Christian Porter has given up his frontbench berth - for the moment at least.

it will now be left to the poor voters in his WA seat of Pearce to determine just how immune the electorate has become to the litany of scandals, conflicts and contempt emanating from our Canberra representatives.

Porter shows the bar is now so low for Parliamentary accountability it’s getting hard to see

France’s reaction to losing its Australian submarine contract has been forthright to say the least. The Foreign Minister and ambassador have accused us of “treason”, backstabbing and lying. The response might be overstated, but they have a genuine right to be furious.

We should have treated France better over submarine deal

The AUKUS partners have managed to alienate France in the process of assembling their new coalition.

Fighting Fake News with REAL 20/9/21; Who is in charge of AUKUS?;

Let's be clear who Morrison believes are the good guys when he was suckered into AUKUS

The US lets lose the most powerful weapons on the planet to effectively kill indiscriminately and it has done for years. Julian Assange released a video showing just that and for 10 years he’s suffered for it. Suffered for revealing what America actually does when at war. America is the king of collateral damage which results even in the oops killing of it's own allies. In it’s eagerly reckless slaughter of the dreamed-up enemy they see in the distance it has never stopped. During the Vietnam war they were renown for killing innocents and allies alike.

Australia has proudly joined them yet again in the formation of AUKUS in so overlooking this constant slaughter by their newly formed commander and chiefs even when an inquiry is being held into our misdeeds. It goes to show Morrison doesn't give a fuck and is happy to diminishing our sovereignty so he doesn't have to hold the hose. Scott Morrison is certainly not holding it now.

But civilian casualties from massive and continual US bombing raids on the country increased 330% from 2017, according to the BBC citing the Costs of War Project at Brown University. The rising death toll was owing to Trump having relaxed the rules of engagement. The Military Times writes of Afghanistan, “According to U.S. Air Forces Central Command, U.S. aircraft dropped 7,423 munitions in 2019 — that’s the highest number of bombs released in nearly a decade. In 2018, U.S. warplanes dropped 7,362 bombs — the second highest total in a year thus far since AFCENT began publishing the number of munitions released in Afghanistan. In 2010 and 2011, the height of America’s participation in Afghan war, coalition aircraft dropped 5,100 and 5,411 bombs respectively.” That is an enormous tonnage of explosives to drop on a poor, rural country annually, and it had been getting worse.

US admits that Hellfire Strike on Kabul, killing 10, was a “Mistake” – But US often does not know Whom it is Droning

Morrison To Investigate Claims There Are Ministerial Standards In His Government

Education primary, secondary, and tertiary have been under attack since 2013 when the LNP arrived in Government. Right-Wing organizations have been officially allowed to offer degree courses at Universities and 40,000 academics have been let go. The ABC has had it's funding cut when the opposite was promised by Abbott. The NBN was intentionally rendered less efficient that originally planned by Labour.  Whistleblowers are under threat and the definition of secrecy made more stringent. Morrison has failed to establish the much promised ICAC for 1010 days. Meanwhile we've seen Right-Wing militant groups allowed to raise their heads as they did in 2005. Malcolm Fraser, Turnbull and Howard wouldn't stand a chance in today's LNP in which Dutton, Joyce, Christensen, Cash are today's influencers.

That’s how terrorism works and how the silence grows wherever the forces of zealotry and fanaticism dominate a culture. It’s beginning to seem a bit Brown Shirt-y in this country, verging on Third Reichian, a place where neighbors fear neighbors and teachers teach warily, succumbing to fear as the great silencing settles over us.

Fighting Fake News with REAL; 17.9.21 Morrison Captain of SS Australia; America and the UK have our backs;

Australians Wishing They Could Forget Scott Morrison Too

Scott Morrison joins US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to announce a pact between the three nations that will see a fleet of nuclear-powered submarines built in Adelaide.

Australia a nation whose government promises the world but delivers nothing. They promised Afghanis protection, the French a deal, support to the Kurds, China free trade. They promised no cuts, climate change action, vaccine deliveries, safety to women, no secrecy, to be a good Asian Pacific citizen, now Indo-Pacific but form AUKUS a white Anglo Pacific military authority. Would you trust anything they have to say?

Morrison's a joke China has 76 subs many, yes many nuclear powered, armed and cocked and Morrison wants us to become a target in order to keep us safe and to be the front for a UK/US power base in Asia now that sounds promising and very very mercenary position.
