Ten years in the making this trade agreement was suddenly announced signed just weeks before an
election. One needs to ask what Morrison actually sacrificed in order to
gain this "seemingly" politically advantageous signing at such a fortuitous moment? The Indians are historically known for their bargaining skills and ability to take
commercial advantage when any opportunity arises. They are currently one of the few countries
refusing to criticize or sanction Putin. Consequentially, they are now happily buying oil at bargain price off Russia. Scott Morrison is constantly claiming his political decisions are justified from the moral high ground. However, in this case, he's joining
a nation that is supporting the war against the Ukraine and who refused to sign the emissions agreements in Glasgow along with Putin. So Morrison in fact is two faced and holding a lower ethical, moral, and contrarian stance to the Australian people's. We want Putin sanctioned not helped and we want a formalised agreement on lower emissions which the LNP refuse to provide.
Morrison has of late been making a lot of "questionable announcements" that make no strategic or logistical sense other than their election announcements. His announcement of 70K tons of coal and the supply of Bushmasters to the Ukraine among some. Loud but bullshit when given any logical thought. They are clearly impossible and simply the actions of a scamming politician whose back's to the wall. His desperate last efforts at the media gaslighting of Australia.

from Russia when the rest of the world isn't. We are supposed to be
sanctioning Putin. Yes, but Morrison has sided with the enemy yet again
because a "trade deal" sounds like a good "advertising slogan"
hypocritical or not. Any wonder Biden thinks nothing of him and thinks he's a Trumpist. Morrison hasn't any respect for women. he's happy to use race and religion in the application of his domestic politics. He employs "fake news" advertising and propaganda more than any PM before him at taxpayer expense. His besties are QAnon and questionable others and he's bad at it.
This week Barnaby Joyce said “we are a government who only spends money where we see a return on investment”. Well that’s strange because debt blew out 400% above 2013. It went from 10% of GDP to over 40%. So where did that money go?

Cruelling somewhat the Budget pitch euphoria in corporate media today, The Australia Institute has sallied forth with its annual analysis of hand-outs to coal and gas multinationals, state and federal, finding they cost the public $11.6b in 2021-22, or $22k per minute.
It’s a $1.3b (12%) increase on last year thanks to the feds. Across all budgets there is $55b committed, which is 11 times the balance of Australia’s Emergency Response Fund ($4.8b in Dec 2021), while $11.6b in 2021-22 is 56 times the budget of the National Recovery and Resilience Agency.
The subsidies cost the Federal government more than it spent on public schools in the same year ($9.7b). Now *that’s* a scam … and we are yet to see the Budget.
