Fake News
Advertisers were once called The Hidden Persuaders. Fake advertising was illegal but in the US Trump called it "alternative facts". Alternative News to begin with and then simply called all real news "fake" and fake news "real". The West suddenly found itself at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. There were no laws in America to prevent the distortion and nothing was protected for it not even science.
The LNP followed and took us down that rabbit hole and Murdoch's was there to help for a fee. Or did Murdoch simply take the LNP and Australia down that rabbit hole? Which came first the chicken or the egg?
