Murdoch has a history of throwing people away without explanation why should this be any different? His wives, his companies ( News of the World), his partners  in business ( New York Post) even his staff (O'Reilly, Ailes) have been given notice. Some staff even jailed to save his skin.  Personal friends have been left behind in the wake of his anger. Even Murdoch's daughter Elizebeth and son James have parted ways.

Fox News’ abrupt firing today of Tucker Carlson from his position as a prime-time host set off a frenzy among the network’s right-wing media competitors. Carlson’s sudden departure was so unexpected that he signed off his program Friday night by telling the audience, “We’ll be back on Monday,” and Fox was still previewing a scheduled interview between Carlson and fringe presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on its programming this morning before announcing his departure.

This is what it looks like when a billionaire influences an election. Rupert Murdoch controls 65% of all newspaper circulation in Australia, and 14 of 21 metro daily and Sunday papers. 

 

Not to mention 40% in the UK, and American Laws changed to allow him to have both print and cable in one state. 75% of all his revenue comes from Fox Corp and supports his empire.

Dutton does not have a good record on First Nation’s children either.

In 2008, he boycotted the apology to the harmed children of the Stolen Generation and their descendants. He has now apologised for this.

Dutton was part of the Abbott Cabinet that “cut more than $500 million in funding to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services, and another nearly $80 million to Aboriginal and Child Family Centres that supported our vulnerable children and families.”
