 Saturday it was claimed 81 per cent of protest arrestees were not locals; numerous press reports, however, found that over 80 per cent of arrestees had local addresses.

Well, the Germans don't feel pathetic for having said sorry for what they did to Gypsies and Jews in WW2. They are even more proud of teaching their dark past and current sorrow in their schools as an essential part of their shameful history. No that's wrong as far as Bolt is concerned it's better to simply forget it. The Dutch after all haven't shone a light on the fact they killed more of their own Jews than the Germans did. Only 20% survived. It sickened Bolt watching Australians saying sorry for 200 years of Colonial brutality. As far as he's concerned never happened.

To Bolt's chagrin Greta is now supported by every major institutional body both private and public in the world. While the world asks Andrew who? Bolt's support is literally next to none.  Tony Abbott was kicked out of office by none other than Greta supporters for believing and advocating the opposite of her. 

GEORGE FLOYD: ABC INCITING RACE WAR HERE, TOO

 No Trump is and has been on that course inciting a race war.  In the past, the KKK declared black Americans were being manipulated by the Communists. Here Trump is saying it's Antifa. African Americans haven't the intelligence to organize. However, 400 cities prove Trump is making things up to deflect the blame.

 The ABC is Australia's most trusted news and information agency with twice the respect held than News Corp. Bolt denies racism exists in Australia and even more denies over 430 Indigenous Australians have died in custody since 1991. Further Bolt denies the death of an Indigenous man  David Dungay was by asphyxiation at the hands of security guards and like Floyd was yelling he couldn't breathe. Quite frankly Bolt's only explanation for the statistics on the excessive death in 3% of Australia's population at the hands of our Institutions is racist. They are Black and therefore....

GEORGE FLOYD RIOTS BASED ON A LIE: THERE IS NO SYSTEMIC POLICE RACISM

Heather MacDonald: "African-Americans were about a quarter of those killed by cops... [But] shootings are a function of how often officers encounter armed and violent suspects... [Blacks] made up 53 per cent of known homicide offenders." But a cop is 18½ times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black to be killed by a cop.

In terms of guns held in America whites are more likely than Blacks to be armed. That's reflected in the number of mass shootings conducted by white Americans as opposed to blacks. Statistics indicate unarmed black Americans are shot more often than whites are. That's a fact that even Bolt can't deny only avoid. 

Trump has done everything including lie rather than admit that he's fueled the increasing protests now occurring in America and around the rest of the world.  The nitpicking that Bolt's turned to here is only an attempt to confuse. Trump is being rebuked by his own most senior officials. Bolt avoids even mentioning it and the Republicans show they are less united. Where is McConnel?

 It seems whites worldwide are in fear according to Bolt. People in his neighbourhood simply don't understand and haven't a clue why they are being attacked by multigenerational diverse racial and cultural groups all around the world. Innocents in a total fog. If they are so unintelligent why are they given a vote? Bolt seems to suggest this is the "new" racism. However, the reason for the protests in the first place, Floyd's death, wasn't a case. His argument there was nothing racist to be seen in George Floyd's death. 

The protests, however, have moved on from that and now the anger is against the increasing authoritarianism of the pathetic Trump administration blaming everyone but their incompetence in handling what's happening. So much so divisions can be seen among Trump's most senior personnel. Gen Esper has come out against Trump's suggestion he had the support of the military when he hasn't. Esper has made it clear he feels he's been scammed and politicised by irresponsibly by Trump

 

NO, NOT ALL LIVES MATTER TO THESE PROTESTERS

Which Black Lives Matter, exactly? Is it only the ones taken by whites? What about the many more killed by blacks? What about 18-year-old Britney Watson,  mother two, killed and dumped in a wheelie bin in the Pilbara, without the ABC noticing? Clearly not all lives matter. Not even all black lives matter. But as he pivots his public relations strategy, he’s also clearly and deliberately trying to rewrite his own history to claim — falsely — that he knew it the outbreak was bad and has been working hard to stop it.
“I’ve always known this is a real — this is a pandemic,” Trump told the media on Tuesday in the White House press briefing room. “I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”

World will enter recession, unemployment will hit 7 per cent: S&P

The world will suffer a global economic recession because of the coronavirus pandemic, ratings agency S&P Global has warned with Australia's unemployment rate likely to push to the highest level since 1988. 

One could well ask whether the extreme measures applied by China in closing the nation down and now followed by the majority of the world isn't an overreaction driving the world into recession. Had a herd immunity approach coupled with the social distancing and isolation of the most vulnerable been enacted be the same? It seems a case of panic over reason.
Let's face it labour and consumption wouldn't have been stopped dead in their tracks. Escalation of debt less severe. Yes major corporations and the Stock Market would feel the impact but not to the same extent small business and the workforce less impacted. What we are seeing is the bailout of Corporations and AG Christian Porter's comment and refusal to bail out individuals who will suffer the most and constitute the labour force. He is it seems quite happy to see our Public Health tested to the max allowing the Labour States to deal with it.

The fact is Capitalism is the least effective means by which Public Health can be administered. Health a right and not a privilege to be earned bought, sold and gauged for profit which is what is happening in America and who Morrison is intent on following for "the best advice"

We need to name and shame those taking advantage of this crisis eg selling $1.10 petrol for $1.65, or hoarders that will be selling product on ebay and social media scalping. Opportunists seeking political advantage in face of a global and national issue.
After the Global Recession, we had WARS. Trump wants a WAR to ensure a second term but will he get one? He's allowing the spread of coronavirus in Iran, Palestine and other countries on which he's applied medical sanctions.

COLUMN This coronavirus panic will kill lots of jobs. So our politicians must at least end the green madness that’s stopping big projects from starting up and hiring. Many projects have been held up for years by government regulations and activist courts, often because of absurdly hysterical fears of global warming. Isn't global warming so yesterday? 

‘We’re headed for the worst financial crisis of our lifetimes’ Whoever said this must be as wealthy as Andrew Bolt because the majority of the world has been living their worst financial crisis from the cradle to the grave and it is called their Lifetime. Indigenous Australia is living proof and been doing it for 200 years suffering the Eurovirus. 

So the Coronavirus is destroying some peoples economy and it's the Greens fault according to Andrew Bolt. He sees the coming of the Coronavirus as a political opportunity. It's surprising he isn't calling it the Greenvirus as Trump is calling it the Chinavirus everything political nothing medical politics the cure.

 The economy can only be saved no, coal and fossil fuels can only save us support the jobs that promise the release of more carbon into the atmosphere drop the regulations and restrictions because t increased warming will kill the virus. This is Bolt calling for a short term action a fix that he said could never work in reverse altering the climate. Today he's back to telling us that warming is good for the planet and the opportunity is now.

Universal Health and Capitalism run cross purposes the goal of human health as a right can't be achieved under Capitalism. To recognize this is to recognize that adversarial politics in inefficient in a crisis. The LNP and the ALP need to formulate a common purpose during this crisis and not one that's merely mimicking America. The Dutch seem to have arrived at the conclusion that closing their nation down is an overreach. So an entirely different approach needed but unfortunately the entire EU that doesn't share their strategy that too will ensure a collapse unless borders are closed. Common purpose is just that and unless one can be found and found quickly shutting a country down will do more long term harm than allowing it to run to achieve herd immunity.

Coronavirus may not be a cold or flu however we know its selective in it's targets and the Italian stats indicate there's merely a one year gap between those dying at age 81 and the average life expectancy of an Italian at 82. The public health system can't cope with treating all those in their 80s but it can focus on prevention and protection of them and the other few minority that are vulnerable leaving the majority of the pop to carry on as normal.

Badly phrased Bolt "you are going nowhere" the majority of Australians aren't dual passport holders like you who identifies as Dutch but simply earn a living here in Australia pretending to be the role model who we ought to mirror. If it was Christmas Bolt you would be going nowhere.

Bolt is the Australian critic of Multiculturalism who wants us to go back to the good old pre-war days. He has no grasp of Australia's divided historical reality. The glory of those Anglo/Celtic British/Irish days were actually days of division between Protestant/Catholics in a war that continued until late last century and could well start again. 

 In post-war Australia we saw just how meaningless wars are with the arrival of migrants Germans Poles, Yugoslavs Serbs and Croatians, Italians Greeks Turks differing languages cultures and religions here all working side by side on projects like the Snowy. The very opposite of what Andrew Bolt rails about the division that he claims diversity generates actually we saw the very opposite unity. 

Today the Coronavirus actually reflects that same unity as does climate and it's global and without borders all of which bigots like Murdoch media, Trump today deny in their Xenophobic blame with terms like the China virus. They don't do the same for German measles, Spanish flu, Bali Belly or anything peculiarly named illness. America today is actually the biggest exporter of the China virus and Trump is using it for his political advantage with medical sanctions to MAGA. He's weaponised the illness and Andrew Bolt applauds him.

The family's lawyer lodged a bid for an emergency injunction late on Thursday night, which was granted by a judge over the phone because of the matter's urgency.

One of the supporters, Simone Cameron, said she saw officers drag Priya onto the plane.
"The officers came down and didn't care, they just dragged her. She was screaming, both girls were screaming. It was very, very traumatic," Ms Cameron said through tears.
Journalist Rebekah Holt, who has become close to the family, last spoke to a distressed Priya about 10pm. Ms Holt said Priya told her that she had been separated from her husband and children.

A Change.org petition has garnered almost 200,000 signatures and the family's plight has received national media attention and prompted protests outside Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton's office in Brisbane.

"They have lived here for over three years and are a caring, hardworking family," petition creator Angela Fredericks wrote.

This is not a religious freedom bill, it's a licence to hate

The bill released on Thursday will allow for religious prejudice - and roll back anti-discrimination protections for vulnerable people brought in over 50 years.

But I believe most Australians value the fairness and inclusion that discrimination laws have brought us, and reject the American culture war that some Australian religious leaders want to bring to our shores.
I believe this not least because polls show about 65 per cent of Australians do not believe discrimination should be allowed in the name of religion.

It is now the job of anti-discrimination advocates to mobilise this majority in defence of the fundamental Australian value of a fair go for all.

They have levelled the playing field and provided a fair go for people traditionally disadvantaged by prejudice and stigma. Our system of anti-discrimination protections is one of this nation’s greatest modern achievements.

Now, at the behest of religious leaders who feel their power and privilege slipping away, the federal government wants to punch holes in all these laws.

The bill released on Thursday by Attorney-General Christian Porter will roll back existing protections in a number of ways.
The Porter bill reaches its tentacles into areas beyond hate speech. For example, in the area of health care the bill allows some doctors, nurses and other health practitioners to refuse to provide their services on the basis of their religious belief.
Most people will assume this applies to abortion or euthanasia, but it could also see paediatricians refusing to vaccinate the baby of a single mother or gynaecologists refusing to see married lesbian couples.
Each of these retrograde provisions is irksome, but what makes them particularly objectionable is that the Porter bill has such a wide definition of religious belief that it allows the voicing of any old prejudice and resentment.

Worse still, this new license to hate will be weaponised by the appointment of a Religious Freedom Commissioner.
