MADE POOR BY THESE DUMB TABOOS

How often we’ve seen the kind of mad superstitions that have our politicians this week struggling to keep on our lights and gas. Tasmanian Aborigines starved rather than catch fish. Jews and Muslims would not eat pigs. And now we're rather shivver in the dark than mine coal or frack for gas. Are we mad?

That the myth of the 'free market' would with stand the revolution of the common good. That battle is now playing out in front of us. The privatization of our resources has allowed us to to get less revenue than Japan for our product and has made Japan the best and cheapest source of our own product cheaper in fact than searching and looking for more. As long as free market economics is involved we will be paying more and not less for gas. Turnbull has asked for a promise of good will from privateers to set aside profit in the interests of the nation. Bolt however rather than face the issue of state owned control wants to simply continue as we once did and let the privateers have their way and that is his idea of rationality. Why would the price go down if the international demand is high. Why wouldn't the privateers buy the gas off the Japanese if they could turn a profit more easily that way? The whole market needs rationalization not just parts of it for a short time.

It's the very reason the major energy producers are calling for an ETS yes a tax on carbon the very opposite of what Bolt is talking about a taboo on dirty energy to actually help transition to clean. They know where the futures lie and it's not in the the direction Bolt insists.

Bolt as usual is conflating issues of what it means to be a member of the EU, what it means to have free border crossings, what that does to sovereign rights and refugees. These issues aren't all the same. Yes Europe has "imported cheap labour" from Turkey and continues to do so.  They were once called 'guest workers'. They didn't invade  Europe they were invited and they weren't 'mobs'. They were welcome well before the EU was formed. 

However the worm seems to have turned as politics has come into the mix and Turks have become 'mobs' along with refugees no doubt because they are Muslim.   Turkey is an associate member of the EU and wants it's politicians to be able to politically campaign within the borders of EU states for votes and mainly in Germany and the Netherlands which have refused for reasons of their own security and their own politics. Turkey however believes as an associate it has the member rights of free movement which the Dutch have denied them as have the Germans. The question being addressed is what are EU members rights and how do they reflect on the domestic politics of each country. It's not "Mass Migration" or  to do with the arrival of refugees. It's to do with the fact can Turkish politicians conduct political rallies in the Netherlands or in any other EU country.  Turkey can open the gates and allow refugees into the EU will they? Is Erdrogan just posturing performing for his electorate as we saw him do with Russia? The problem being the EU hasn't a refugee solution without Turkey's help and nor has Bolt's problem of 'mass migration then'. The question of "mass invasion" is merely a moral and political one within the EU and reflects the current state of it's politics which on the right is anti-EU and anti- migration vs pro EU and pro refugee aid.

 Without "guest workers" and cheap labour nation states in Europe couldn't survive. "Whipping up mobs" is Bolt's description as is his description of 'mass rape in Sweden' both are  fake facts and false and simply right wing motivated. I believe Gert Wilders his hero has had a substantial slip in the Dutch polls recently like Hanson something you won't hear from Bolt. The Greens were the biggest winners another thing you won't hear.

  It seems Corporations don't have any concern breaking laws when it comes wages and benefits why is Bolt so fussed when it comes to unions. The costs involved seem to be far greater when corporations are involved than when unions are. On top of that corporate bosses and executives are rarely charged and never jailed. The ACTU isn't the first to declare laws bad Abbott did it and Bolt nodded.

Brawls between youths are not unusual in Melbourne but not all are reported by Bolt. At soccer matches they are often violent and in large numbers. However they don't tend to be black and that's Bolt's focus Black African Refugees most likely Muslims right or wrong all Bolt wants to do is objectify,stereotype stigmatize a whole diverse group and enforce the idea that these people don't belong here. What make Bolt a liar is he told Mia Freedman in an interview he doesn't do that because that would make him a racist. You define yourself with your own words Mr Bolt. When in fact you don't know what happened. How did it start? How many came to watch? How many were fighting?

Might this not be true then of the 'stolen children' simply because the written record says they weren't doesn't make it so. It would appear Bolt is not a Bolt. However we Know he's from Aalesmere and that town has a written record to be ashamed of.

Bolt was advised to reread what he wrote and have it make sense. The English only that is the rest remains nonsense.

They become moments with which to amplify and generalize cultural differences as issues of major concern. The only odd one out here is Bolt and of course the ethnocentric German who seemed to think it important. Is this why Andrew Bolt in his worst English was trying to say "the Russians are less dangerous than are their enemies" , the Americans?

Bolt's figures the facts aren't important and like ISIS the message is. The message and the politics need to drive the narrative that needs to be documented as the truth. If wrong Bolt just silently walks away and never declares he was wrong.

He even said he was aware of the rumours about priests. He must have been very aware because this was a global problem and not just a local problem. Australia was not just an independent franchise. Yet Pell said the rumors  didn't really interest him. These are  facts. But one fact that stands out is Pell joined an organization and in his 40 years never once came to realize it's questionable history of sexual practices world wide? I was raised in the Catholic Church and at 15 knew of it's history simply through literature  movies and word of mouth. There was an abundance and that alone would make rumors a necessity not to be ignored.

Bolt seems to believe in a degree of guilt that is Pell may have been a little guilty but not as guilty as others. All he seems to be arguing is the sentence shouldn't be as harsh as it's been because of mitigating circumstances. 1 Bolt's character reference. 2 Pell said he was a little guilty 3 He doesn't need to be blamed for the victims suffering all those years because he tried to even though reluctantly fix things.

Minchin made light of it as any jester would and he was right to do so. Bolt has the right to try to bring a defamation or vilification case against him. When the obvious is revealed and records taken they reveal that Sudanese migrants are half as likely to get into trouble than Australians and when nationalities are recorded Islanders are found to be predominantly New Zealanders. But in his eagerness to stereotype all of them he ignores all of this. 1% Of Sudanese youth are in fact charged.

He does however apply it to single mothers and any other group he has a bias against. He has  difficulty though when it comes to New Zealanders, Samoans, Cook Islanders etc because they are Christian English speaking people who fundamentally are culturally the same as us. Some of whom no doubt belong to gangs and statistically are more likely to encounter police than are Africans or Sudanese. There is no excuse for racism Mr Bolt

The Herald Sun's photos of the gangs tells a significantly different story than Bolt's. The 2-3 photos don't show a majority of Africans at all however Bolt's page 13 photo almost looks contrived if not selected for the sole purpose of lending support to his spin that the gangs were in the main black.  His own paper shows they weren't. Furthermore the Apex Gang it's reported is a mixed race gang Bolt says it's African. Who is hiding the truth can anybody agree with Bolt when even News Corp can't. The Age said  4 people were arrested hardly seems as massive  as Bolt makes out.

Bolt's changed his story from calling the "rioters" mainly "Islanders" and "Sudanese" to mainly "African" and not really mentioning "islanders".  Why? He hasn't a clue who they are really. Islanders what Islanders Andrew Bolt? Statistics and data shows when declaring their place of birth to police these "islanders" are actually New Zealanders. Those few from the Cook and Somoa their culture is largely like ours. But that would hardly fit ant- migrant  narrative that their culture is too different.When all said and done however some are colored and Bolt is a racist which goes a long way to explaining his anti- Islander attitude. The  200 Africans turned out to be a total fantasy on Bolt's part. He can't ID them as  Sudanese so he dropped that.  Basically Bolt really hasn't a clue whose who in his imaginary zoo. Some kids were fighting each other but weren't   a united front of 'rioters'  which this word implies nor were they attacking Melbournes citizenry as Bolt makes out were in terrorist danger. He  obviously had too much to drink at his dinner party last night.

I can guarantee that some of Melbourne's most respected youths attending the most reputed private schools in Melbourne have been caught and arrested for crimes involving  drugs,  gang violence, crashing parties on mass , GBH, murder, hedge burning, car theft and rape etc. These white as the driven snow kids from some of Melbourne's most respected families have never been called out or blamed by Andrew Bolt  for anything but being well integrated models of what his Melbourne society ought look like. 

We have seen soccer wars, bikie wars, 200 kids crash and trash parties and cause mayhem. But we only have a singular Andrew Bolt blaming assumed migrants for delinquent behavior. What all these battles that take place in Melbourne says is you don't need to feel alienated or marginalized to be delinquent only young. Youth are in general potentially delinquent having children is a challenge only some are more visible than others or are being watched more closely than others.  I suggest Bolt looks at the history of the school his sons  and daughter attended before naming and shaming others so readily. Refugee crime wave nothing but hogwash - The Drum ...

The worst criminals when adult who have done the Australian community the most harm have come from the best schools, the best universities and attended best clubs networking with the best of Melbourne. They have caused more damage to the social fabric of  Australian life than any migrant. They have caused premature death by illness and suicide, more bankruptcies and destroyed more families than any of Bolt's mythical migrants.

Studies show under representation in youth statistics but over representation  by the media  e.g Andrew Bolt of migrant kids.

" Bolt.  The real crime other than Bolt's English  here is his amplifying and reporting false evidence in the MSM. The largest  most active commentator for News Corp is allowed to lie and print false data simply because it sells papers. There is no interest in truth or news. It's why the RDA is necessary as is Section 18C but it also shows why these laws need to be actively applied but aren't.

Bolt is two faced  or  strangely protective of New Zealanders  as he doesn't mention them but  prefers to call them "Islanders" It suggests something exotic foreign  non English speaking, colored and alien. It makes them seem migrants from a significantly different culture as does  "Africans" . Aliens battling in  Bolt's Melbourne. It turns out  that these Islanders aren't culturally different from us.  It merely allows Bolt to plant the idea of Cultural difference and it being the cause of criminal activity.  In fact the cause is more likely to be boredom the lack of money or the  opportunity and services offered to otherwise latch key kids whose parents are struggling to survive.  We don't know.

However we do know  the facts: in 2011-12, just over 1% (342 out of 28,779) of alleged offenders aged between 10-24 years were born in Sudan.  It simply goes to show how media attention amplifies a minor issue. Of all youth offenders Police data currently available indicates that young people born overseas are less than half as likely to be alleged offenders compared with young Australians again something you won't hear from Bolt. 

Yes as we speak young MLC girls and Xavier boys are getting smashed and wasted on booze and drugs having sex and committing crimes. They aren't being  closely watched and in the main  are doing it all behind closed doors. If caught they generally just get a warning at most and life goes on as usual until they wind up at one of those private rehab centers that seem to be springing up everywhere. The Melbourne Clinic has doubled it's size waiting for kids like Bolt's to arrive or be sent to new schools. The difference between those visible and those not $$$. I'm sure Bolt thinks his daughter has never given head and his sons have never done drugs or got pissed.
