Fighting Fake News with REAL; 8/2/22 Dutton, Monkey Pod Room, Bolt, Cash; Trickle Up

Instead, Carr doubled down in another tweet saying unless another minister fessed up “who has most to gain from undermining further a flailing PM?”.

There is nothing “common” or united in this view unless you a totally paranoid lunatic fuckwit that no longer knows up from down. Turning to Andrew Bolt only proves the new "conservatives" are on the fringe and and are idiots. As a commentator on Australia Bolt’s been wrong most of the time. For 2 decades he's sold us the world was “cooling” and "science" was just another religion. He said he once worked as a belly dancer’s minder. Yes, that commentator, that Walter Mitty who kept telling us Abbott had seen the folly of his ways and was about to change.

Bolt’s not a commentator he’s just a media monkey straight out of Dutton’s Monkey Pod room and wants him and the other apes in charge. Bolt lost LNP patronage when he lost Abbott and Dutton is his only opportunity for attention again. Sacked from 2GB shamed by Miranda and a failure producing his own podcast. But then this Australia-hater also wants to retire to a barge in Amsterdam dreaming he could write a book. Amersterdam one of the most “socialist, multiculturalist, multiethnic cities in the EU with a population twice that of Melbourne where he won’t walk the streets in daylight. If Conservatives see Andrew Bolt as their “leading” media voice and “intellectual” then we know the country is safe.

Bolt was, to our misfortune, an accident waiting to happen. While working for Murdoch in the 80’s he actually hated “News” and the work it entailed. No doubt not very good at it he became their obit writer even that was a mental strain and gave it away for PR. He hated the demands of journalism so his hand went up for what was regarded as a Dorothy Dixer job, when right-wing opinion only was required by Rupert. He’s been there ever since and today is most likely awarded as the APC’s most complained about nuisance given News Corp and Murdoch media are listed as 66% of their complaints.

A common view is that “Dutts”, as they call him, could save seats in his home state of Queensland and help stem the bleeding to the right on issues of vaccine mandates and religious freedom elsewhere. The view has support outside the parliamentary Liberal Party. One of Australia’s leading conservative commentators, Andrew Bolt, used his popular News Corp column on Monday to urge: “Peter Dutton, get ready to lead”. Bolt wrote the Prime Minister Scott Morrison “looks finished and is now making a fool of himself to get some love”. The columnist, like many across the Parliament, was simply aghast at Morrison’s stunt on Friday where he massaged a woman’s scalp and washed her hair for the benefit of the cameras in a Melbourne salon.

What Dutton isn’t suing Carr for his “hurt feelings”. It raises the question that Carr knows he wouldn’t dare because he really just might have the goods on Dutton. Heaven help Australia if Dutton the once head of the Monkey Pod room, Mr Boomgate, did win the job.

Former Labor foreign affairs minister Bob Carr has doubled down on his allegations that Peter Dutton is behind the leaking of explosive texts about the Prime Minister. The Defence Minister described Mr Carr’s claims as “baseless” on Sunday night – after he tweeted an accusation that Mr Dutton was the serving Liberal cabinet member behind the leak of messages blasting Scott Morrison as a “complete psycho”. “Bob Carr’s tweet is baseless, untrue and should be deleted,” Mr Dutton tweeted a little over an hour after the allegation was made. But Mr Carr, who is also a former NSW premier, told Sky News on Monday that he had a “rock solid media source” for his allegations – although he would not reveal who it was.

Wine farmer Stefan Smit drinks with friends at his Louiesenhof Wines farm which is next to the Kayamandi township outside Stellenbosch, South Africa, in 2018.

Peter Dutton Andrew Bolt and Australian Racists certainly used this as justification for the necessity of preferential immigration laws essential for the urgent need of protection of White Sth African Farmers.

So when Smit was killed in June 2019, some people saw the case as evidence of targeted attacks against white farmers, a rallying point among white minority rights groups and their allies in the US who claim that white farmers are killed at higher rates than other South Africans. That narrative has been upended in this case, after the arrest of three people on murder charges, including Zurenah Smit, 54, Smit’s second wife.

A white farmer’s murder was deemed a racial issue. Then police arrested his widow

Fighting Fake News with REAL,3/9/20; Tony loudmouth Abbott coming back in London; Humour; The Age and Fake News to sell Facebook;

The Morrison government is actively considering pulling forward $158 billion worth of personal income tax cuts.

A Reply to Josh Frydenberg Tony Abbott & Andrew Bolt's Bullshit:

Your's and the LNP's political stance against Dan Andrews fails on basic economic grounds and material facts. What evidence do Bolt, Abbott and Frydenberg base their argument that Australia's economy has been dragged down by Dan Andrews? His strict China-style COVID lock-up policy. A policy that proved to work in China.  It can't be because of the more liberal approach in Sweden simply because it didn't. See the facts below.

Sweden: Deaths 5,821 or 571 per million. Australia. Deaths. 657 or 26 per million.

Can we now put the whole Sweden thing to bed? Swedish GDP in the quarter to June 2020 fell by 8.3%. According to the national accounts just released, Australian GDP over the same period fell by 7.0%. Better (less bad) economic outcomes and far far better health outcomes.

1:38 PM · Sep 2, 2020Twitter for iPad

So the fact is the LNP was bordering on recession pre-COVID-19. (see the chart below) -0.3% growth in the first quarter of this year and not "strong" as Frydenberg claims.

Neither Morrison nor Frydenberg's management has helped in fact the opposite has occurred and the economy should have been much better. Whatever saving has occurred to our GDP not going over a cliff has largely been due to China and their successful model of strict lock-up that has resulted in their defeat of Covid-19 and a return to economic progress. Dan Andrews is following in their footsteps and not the speculative ideas demanded by the two morons Bolt and Abbott

Whatever case there is for our economy being better than it is but is not is due to the LNP's negative foreign policy and attitude toward China and pro-Trump. We could have been exporting far more than we are. So yes our current state could have been better if it wasn't for the LNP's anti-China stand on behalf of America.

Victoria is the state that has, in fact, prevented it from being even worse because we have a far better relationship with China and they appreciate that. Post-COVID -19 that relationship will have a greater impact than anything Morrison and Frydenberg have achieved and it will show. In the meantime, however, Andrews will be their scapegoat target but he knows time is on his side.

Fears changes to news-sharing policy may turn Facebook into some sort of awful hellhole of fake news and conspiracy theories

With Facebook threatening to ban users from posting news on its site, there are concerns the social media platform may quickly descend into a ghastly hub of fake news, conspiracy theories, bullying and extremist rhetoric.
Experts cautioned against the change, saying Facebook could morph into a bin fire of unverified content before our eyes.
“The last thing we want is for Facebook to become a platform for extremist theories or crazy ideas,” media expert Johnathan Reece said.
“If we’re not careful, this could become a place where people go to organise Nazi rallies, discourage parents from vaccinating their children, or to spread ridiculous theories about mobile phone towers. Is that what we want?
“Today Facebook is a space where people share wholesome stories about their lives and factually accurate articles about what’s going on in the world. But if we’re not careful, it could quickly become a place where people spread insane ideas like how Hillary Clinton is secretly operating a paedophile ring in the basement of a Washington DC pizza shop”.

The Morrison government owes us radical transparency

Until recently the federal government was displaying “a degree of self-congratulation and even hubris” in how well it had controlled the virus in Australia, according to Peter Rozen QC, counsel assisting the royal commission into aged care. This hubris was unjustified in aged care: Australia now has one of the worst rates of aged care deaths caused by COVID-19 globally.

Thank the gods for the royal commission, though, because despite Morrison’s moral outrage, there would have been no other mechanism to discover the poor preparedness and conditions of the sector, for which his government has responsibility.

The federal government is asking a lot of its citizens right now – in many instances, it asks nothing short of obedience. The least it can give us in return is radical transparency when it comes to its decision-making and its mistakes.

Premier Daniel Andrews is urging the Morrison government to be part of a joint disability sector taskforce.

Morrison government rejected Victoria's pleas to help disability sector

It's the first time the Andrews government has indicated its calls for help had not been answered by the Commonwealth.
Victorian Disability Minister Luke Donnellan first highlighted issues within the sector on April 8, and called on the Commonwealth to extend financial support and set up a crisis accommodation response team, both of which were rejected by federal counterpart Stuart Robert.

Covid-19 aged care guidelines: ‘They’re not a national plan. This is a plan!’

Dr Sarah Russell critically examines two documents that Scott Morrison asserts were the federal government’s pandemic plan for aged care. The first is a set of vague guidelines that places responsibility for protecting residents on individual providers. The second is a plan for the health sector, not aged care.
The numerous inquiries, reviews and consultations over the years have provided mounds of evidence of negligence, neglect and abuse in residential aged care homes. Yet the recommendations have mostly been ignored. Now we watch in horror as the number of elderly residents who have died from Covid-19 continues to climb. The government is going to have to explain how this predictable tragedy occurred on its watch. (M West)

TONIGHT: HOW WE DIDN'T LEARN FROM THE DISGUSTING WITCH HUNT AGAINST LINDY CHAMBERLAIN. PLUS: HOW THE VIRUS FIGURES ARE EX

On The Bolt Report on Sky News at 7pm: How we didn't learn from the disgusting witch hunt against Lindy Chamberlain, 40 years ago. And police and media just did it all over again with George Pell. Plus creepy, creepy footage of Joe Biden: what is this man? And how the media Left turned feral when cartoonist Johannes Leak exposed his racism.

1) The media judged Lindy Chamberlain who was hanged on the evidence of a post mortem and coroner. The essence of British justice is to bring charges on "evidence" and not the commentary of opinionators like Bolt screaming for blood but selling it as news. Things haven't changed.
2) Ray Hadley was right Bolt is soft on paedophiles as he was soft on Pell who protected a number of them and admitted doing so. Ergo what do you say about someone like Bolt who was a Pell protector?
3) Let Bolt's English speak for itself "Johannes Leak exposed himself"

HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE: HOW MAD TO BAN IT

COLUMN Of all the virus bans in Australia, the most lunatic is on a cheap drug that could save your life.  How many Australians might die because the National COVID-19 Clinical Evidence Taskforce tells doctors to “not use hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19”, claiming it doesn’t work and could instead kill? But look at its dodgy evidence.

1) The drug isn't "banned" 2) If it's not "fit for purpose" and has risks it's the most responsible thing to do 3) Bolt certainly the least of risk-takers. MY PROBLEM WITH 2GB. AS TOLD TO STEVE PRICE

Steve Price knows how to get publicity: "Andrew Bolt is about to go public with a huge spray at his ex-employer 2GB. In a podcast interview with his friend and former radio co-host Steve Price,... Bolt will give the station both barrels for 'bailing out' of conservative commentary because of a fear of losing advertisers."
8m ago
The problem here being Bolt wasn't the most conservative commentator known on 2GB at the time he was just a guest not the cohost or star he made himself out to be. Miranda certainly let him know that and put the jack fair and squarely in the box and on-air too. Bolt folded like a cheap suit. Alan Jones was the conservative star and Jones wasn't sacked. Furthermore, Bolt in a "I'll show them"  boyish tantrum started a podcast of his own with son Dom which lasted 5 weeks and failed. He certainly showed them and embarrassed Dom.
At the time Bolt maintained he was never sacked but left in media parlance " due to contractual disagreements" a euphemism for being "sacked" "given the bullet" "shown the door". Miranda Devine hasn't been sacked. Ray Hadley is still there. Jones use-by date was showing and even he knew it. He was losing advertisers and crossing the line so at 80 he left. Bolt's 20 years his junior and he was retired. Yes, as for prima Donna Bolt he was sacked the Steve Price Show wasn't and now after all this time he wants the last word and he's ADVERTISING as "Steve Price knows how the get publicity". The Steve Price Show is losing ground so bring on the" has been" Andrew Bolt for a whine. Bolt's self-importance may not be but his public persona seems to be very much on the wane and he's only a legend in his own mind. Never really even a fading star just an annoying mozzie once boosted by Tony Abbott but and here he is telling us "just wait and see" there's so much to reveal.

HOW MANY ARE REALLY DYING FROM CORONAVIRUS?

COLUMN The coronavirus panic has been exaggerated by a simple counting confusion. Not all our nearly 400 dead were actually killed by the virus. Many almost certainly were dying already. We need to know who is dying from the virus, and not just with it.
16m ago
How original is Bolt taking up the Fox and conservative lines from the US George Floyd wasn't killed by that cop with his knee on his neck but Fentanyl the Death Certificate is a Fake. 400 other Death Certificates are Fakes as Covid didn't kill them they were dying anyway. You know Bolt wouldn't shy away from saying Kennedy wasn't assassinated he died of cardiac arrest, not the gunshot he only died with it.
One thing is for sure in The US the increase in Covid-19 is increasing in children along with serious side-effects and Bolt knows this but it has no room for his argument trivialising the illness.

CORONAVIRUS KILLS GRETA THUNBERG'S BIG SCARE

The coronavirus has given the Left something more real to freak about. That's left climate alarmists like Greta Thunberg desperate to get back some attention, trying to whip up panic even over the monsoonal rains that Asia badly needs and which a Thunberg ally once said would dry up. My editorial from The Bolt Report.
4m ago
"mosoonal rains" how evasive of Bolt not to mention extreme flooding in Mumbai not seen for almost 50 years. Over 1 million slum dwellers need this and Covid which Bolt makes out they do why so he can have a personal dig at Greta.
Remember how Bolt cheered the flooding that took place in Qld that killed 500k cattle and destroyed an industry. He claimed that was proof that global warming and the drought in QLD was just a hoax.
Why did Asia badly need this extreme weather Bolt doesn't say. Nor does he say that 2020 is shaping up to be the 2-3rd hottest year on record. But it's easy to pick in a young girl so far away she doesn't reply.

DIDN'T ALBERICI ONCE REPORT FOR THE ABC? DO I REMEMBER RIGHT?

Odd, but almost the only time I hear of Emma Alberici is when she's brawling with the ABC, not reporting for it. Is there a link?: "Parties close to Alberici tell us her case against the ABC is unrelated to the redundancy. Instead, her claim is filed under Section 739 of the Fair Work Act, which deals with disputes in industrial agreements."
2m ago
Why is the big dobber Bolt involving himself here like a cheap gossip columnist? Because he can and because getting into real issues is beyond him on Mondays. Besides the ABC is his mission and he'd have no job without it. But primarily because he was beaten to the news by others like a cadet and also ran.
No issues it must be Monday and Bolt has stepped out of his man cave and into his study. No news today. But Bolt who like an Alpha male he believes beating his chest threatened to sue Ray Hadley a few days ago. They both worked on 2GB once only 2GB saw fit to rid itself of Bolt who felt he deserved a bigger spot than they apparently did. Bolt, however, doesn't sue or appeal legally unless it's with other peoples money it seems. Remember how disappointed he was  when News Corp's legal team accepted the verdict handed down by Mordecai Bromberg of "guilty"

How have aged care homes become the epicentre of the crisis? How do we fix this?

How have aged care homes become the epicentre of the crisis? How do we fix this?

Who funds and runs aged care facilities? How have they become the epicentre of this crisis? And how do we fix this?

Significant in this report is the lack of data, no figures are given as to the care-homes with the best and worst records. The State-run homes have had far less than 10% of the total number of deaths and far less spread rate than the Private and Commonwealth regulated homes. Yet Dan Andrews is getting the blame and Morrison was happy to allow it to happen adding fuel to the fire on Tuesday.

Andrews has to date "helped ", out of necessity, the Commonwealth, and since this has come to light Morrison has back peddled and begun trying to pull his finger out. In the meantime, Dan Andrews has been getting an undeserved shellacking from the conservative MSM the PR division of the LNP. Today the best review Dan has had has been "Both Governments have made mistakes" which when analysed by the weight of those mistakes is utter bullshit.

This 2nd wave's primary cause has been LNP Federal Government doing nothing since April despite Dan Andrew's warnings. Over 20% of cases coming from Commonwealth regulated aged-care facilities which Morrison demanded be open to visitors and cross-fertilising staff on no pandemic pay should they be forced to quarantine.  Staff so lowly paid they had to work. The majority of deaths have occurred in these facilities which were from the getgo understaffed and underequipped to cope.

The State LNP opposition leader O'Brien has the intelligence of less than a brick in the circumstance and is playing politics and being given air for being an absolute ignorant idiot calling Andrew to " ask the Commonwealth for help" when Andrews has been bailing them out and they have been asking for his which has been forthcoming.  He's shut down elective surgery for the LNP's incompetence. However, read News Corp or Ch9 and what you get is a sense at best that mistakes "have been made on both sides"  at worst it's the Victorian ALP government that's to blame. MSM PR and doing it in a pandemic is surely criminal. I notice Andrew Bolt changed his banner of blame today without saying sorry. Did he get legal guidance from above?

Surly media bear some responsibility for irresponsible and publicly reckless criminal and false opinion being sold as information and news of which we have been victims of. Afterall Peter Foster was jailed for selling tea deemed a fake product why can Murdoch and his paid monkeys be allowed to do far worse and get a freebie thanks of $10 mill from Morrison's LNP while our ABC gets a "no-cut" reduction in their budget year in year out since 2013? Latest Malka Leifer appeal in Israel heard in secret

Never let it be said that the orthodoxy in the State of Israel has no power. This case has been going on for 12 years (ODT)

The former Melbourne Orthodox school principal's defence team was granted a closed hearing by an Israeli court.

Judge Yitzhak Amit told the defence that the number of appeals was unprecedented even among the most high-profile murder trials. Wednesday marked the case's 70th hearing.

"Some of the things that happened with this case have never taken place in the history of the establishment of the state of Israel," he said.

In 2016, an Israeli judge found Ms Leifer mentally unfit to face extradition to Australia and she was set free. But she was arrested in February 2018 after a private investigation revealed that she was leading a "normal life" and going about normal daily activities in the ultra-Orthodox settlement of Emmanuel.

While new COVID-19 cases in Sweden have been decreasing from the peak at the beginning of July, they still sit at about 250 per day. Denmark and Norway have been below that level since mid-April.

Swedes have paid a heavy price to get to where they are — and they’re still quite some way from controlling the spread of COVID-19, as their neighbours have done.

We don’t have to lose the lives that Sweden has to learn from its experience. Loose restrictions make COVID-19 harder to control. When the virus is out of control it spreads rapidly, putting millions of vulnerable people at greater risk and reducing the economic activity of the population.

Andrews - I would not let my mum be in some of these places

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews says he would not let his mum go into aged care and the focus right now id to help those people who need help the most

FAKE NEWS

Andrews too eager to shift blame on aged care

After weeks of dealing with a disaster of his own making, Daniel Andrews has shifted the blame for the crisis in aged care to Canberra but not everyone in the federal government is pleased with Victoria’s role in trying to stem the horrific outbreak.

The polluting of reality under the title of an "analysis" is the Herald Sun's toxic interpretation of facts for the sole purpose of misdirection on Morrison's behalf. Dan Andrews hasn't shifted anything. The Federal Government is to blame for the horrific outbreak of death that has occurred in the sector of Federal responsibility in Victoria. The LNP has remained silent allowing Murdoch media to misdirect what has occurred and who is really responsible.

Since April Dan Andrews asked the ACT to regulate the visiting rules and casual work structure in the underregulated private aged-care homes under Morrison's supervision. They did nothing about it until 10 days ago after over 90% of the deaths that have occurred have done so in the Federal controlled homes. Andrews publicly called them out two days ago amplifying the conditions found only to have Greg Hunt cry crocodile tears denying the state and staffing under his jurisdiction. Now Murdoch media is playing word games and claiming them to be an analysis "Andrews has shifted the blame to Canberra" as if "the blame" was his. Of course, not everyone is pleased in Canberra the light of truth is being shone on them and Andrews has no intention to be their sacrificial lamb. His problem, however, is News Corp is the principle PR firm for the LNP and just been paid $10mill for their service

Andrews has stepped into the breach to save lives and had to delay "elective surgery" to take over private hospital beds. How dare he do that and interfere with  Canberra's Private System. DAVID DUNGAY, 'SYMBOL OF BLACK LIVES MATTER': THE FACTS

COLUMN Tuesday’s Black Lives Matter protest in Sydney was stopped by police before it started, yet still worked its poison. The tension about whether it would go ahead gave its organisers a big media platform to make David Dungay "a symbol of the Australian Black Lives Matter movement” after he was killed for "eating biscuits". Now for the facts...

Don't let this snake oil salesman con you into subscribing to the shrinking Herald Sun. The fact is David Dungay died in a prison cell while being accosted by 4-5 long bay guards for "eating biscuits". In Bolt's book, the guards were the unwitting victims of Dungay's death. As have been the authorities involved with the 450 other deaths in custody.(ODT)

CORONAVIRUS FIGHT SHOWS LEADERS MAKING MISTAKES, YET DESERVING RESPECT

COLUMN This won’t please many people. But we should thank our political leaders — even Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews — for how they’re fighting like hell to stop this virus.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS TO BLAME

"There’s 769 aged residents infected in Aged Care facilities, but only 5 in public-run facilities. Private Aged Care is the responsibility of Greg Hunt, Bio Security is the Federal Government’s responsibility (regardless of what the paid trolls and Sky News lackeys say)"

"On Tuesday Morrison said Daniel Andrews needed his help: WRONG. It was Morrison who asked Andrews for assistance." The Bulletin

There has been one major mistake made yes, and that's  Bolt's "analysis" of what's been happening. However, this banner is the closest you will get to Bolt saying he was wrong. The facts have been reported that Morrison, not Dan Andrews was responsible for the "Victorian Disaster". Andrews acted when he realised Morisson wasn't going to, and Morrison did nothing it seems because he had the backing of Murdoch and the other conservative MSM acting as PR agencies on his behalf. All pointing to Victoria and the ALP.

Like Trump and the China virus, the media insisted calling this the "Victorian Deaths" and not just because of their location but rather to get Dan. Even Morrison said he had to miss a meeting in Qld because he needed to race South and deal with the "Victorian Problem".

All of these "newsmen" avoided the fact that 90% of the deaths in aged-care homes were under Scott Morrison's and the Federal watch and they had done nothing to deal with the issue since April when it was clear what was happening. Morrison even demanded an open door visitor's policy, no paid pandemic leave, and a casualised mobile workforce all against Dan Andrews and Victoria's Public Health advice.

When Andrews grabbed media attention and said he wouldn't send his mother to any of Morrison's homes Greg Hunt the Minister cried crocodile tears saying they were excellent facilities operating under the world's best practice rules but with the world's worst results.

Here is Bolt doing Trump's Charlottesville jig declaring Morrison's neglect wasn't so bad as there were "mistakes" on both sides. No such feathered punch in the case of Indigenous deaths in custody as far as Bolt is concerned like Stolen Children there were none just look a the death certificates and the police and prison guards unfairly blamed.(ODT)
