I have heard so many people - including an academic last week - claim that Melbourne's African gang violence is just a media myth. Here are ten examples of that "myth" - bashings, carjackings and home invasions - all taken from news reports in just the past week. Something extraordinary has hit Melbourne, thanks to our refugee program.

Academics, Police, Social Workers all claim African gang violence is a "Media Myth". Andrew Bolt Kevin Andrews and Mathew Guy claim it's not. Yet when Africans are alleged to be the cause of this massive crime wave and the statistics even when skewed against them show they at worst represent only 1% of the crime in this State. A State moreover that has a falling crime rate of 9% and as such the best in the country.
To actually accept reality that the history of this country is one of multiculturalism can't be done by Bolt because that would mean accepting that crime is multicultural and as such yes Africans too commit offences but not because they are exceptional form Africa or that they are black they happen to live in a Rainbow Nation where all of us commit crime.
However, it's not the conclusion Bolt wants us to believe so forget the stats forget the reality selectively chose events to prove his predetermined racist conclusion. Don't mention the carjackings done by anyone other than Africans and you have an argument that's not original, has nothing to do with reality but one that you will find that was applied throughout history to other unwanted minorities by racists exactly like Andrew Bolt. White Racists in the US, South Africa, Germany, and Holland have all done it against people of colour, Jews, and Muslims and when the statistics were looked at objectively were proved wrong.
Bolt's no genius someone who has a unique grasp on our statistics of crime. But it's strange in many ways. If he were concerned at all about the social damage and cost of crime to Victorians why doesn't focus on Corporate Crime? Middle-Class Crime crimes generally committed by his social peers that impact financially on hundreds of thousands of Victorians a major cause of suicides, family breakdowns and mental breakdowns. Bolt ignores the damage caused altogether because that's not his purpose his purpose is stereotype, magnify and amplify the acts of a specific group in society and tell us they are exceptional specific to that group and that it unwanted because they simply don't fit with "his tribe" that's never defined. Bolt promotes 2 myths one of "them"  but a greater myth he never really defines "us" when in his case the "us" is limited to an exceptional few. 71% of crime is committed by Australians

Andrew Bolt is really confused, isn't he? He's actually talking about the Bolt Report where debate is off the agenda altogether the diversity of ideas simply doesn't exist. The Writer's Festival is far more like the Drum where diversity does.

FLANAGAN VS THE PURITANS OF OUR WRITERS FESTIVALS

Richard Flanagan may be an extreme eco-pietist who'd defend even an anti-Semitic jihadist. But bravo to him for attacking the tyrannical puritanism of the Brisbane Writers' Festival, now banning Germaine Greer and quashing real debate: "Who would have thought it would be writers’ festivals that would now act against such freedom? I doubt if Flanagan knows who Andrew Bolt is and am certain he doesn't read him. So what we have here is self-congratulation on Bolt's part that he wasn't invited either and somehow beleieves he's an equal with this uninvited group who would never stop to talk to him.

 The Brisbane Writers Festival is fully aware of Bob Carr and Germaine Greer and realize their repetitive voices are more than well known. There isn't a Festival if it's only an echo chamber of what's been said and who has said it before. Festivals aren't meant to be Bolt's version of Anzac Day but are implicitly the introduction of new voices young voices and voices trying to be heard. Flanagan unfortunately isn't one we look forward to at moments like Brisbane either as entertaining as all the old bloods might be. However I doubt if they felt rebuffed for not being given center stage yet again.

 

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LEFT AND A CONSERVATIVE

I am marvelling at the sight of journalists and politicians who once mocked  calls to cut immigration as extreme now suggesting the Turnbull Government may need to do just that. The difference between a conservative "extremist" and a Leftist journalist is often just time.

 Conservatives simply demand uniformity over diversity yet never clearly define what that means. "Others" need to change because Australia is currently a history of failure rather than success. However, the most notable failures have been seen to have occurred this century with the Howard government and accelerating socially and economically with the Abbott government which had the greatest record of doing nothing since John Gorton. No government really has done less than Abbott's to put the brakes on. That alone has stopped infrastructure now blamed on Immigration, stopped a uniform approach to the NBN which is a failure. Conservatives believe any changes to our caste system means loss of privilege for them and or their children and birthright and inheritance is the foundation of society. The difference between Conservatives and Australians  according to Andrew Bolt is someone he seems not wanting to name but acknowedges hin as a writer among trash in the Speccie. Of course it's Tony Abbott preaching form his pulpit. There was another ultra- Conservative preacher not that long ago that told the Germans that they too had lost touch with their historic and Christian roots and that Germany was in danger of becoming "culturally adrift". He actually called for the burning of books in schools libraries and universities. He like Abbott and Bolt was an opponent of multiculturalism and focused his attention on Jews and the plague of ideas that accompanied them.

The ABC produces programs commercial TV simply don't bother with. and the notion of competition is a myth. Imagine for a single minute if Australia's News and information our source of information was The Bolt Report. Now that's what Bolt and News Corp strive for the total concentration of privatized, commercial media. In fact with this merger 86% of Australian media will be owned by 2 corporations.
2 Corporations vying for the advertising dollar and presenting information and programs to please those with $$$ does Bolt for a single instance suggest that Australians will be invited to a diverse range of competing ideas, not for a second there would never have been a referendum on same-sex marriage, there'd never have been a Royal Commission into banks. There'd only be the corporate run messages of the biggest advertisers. News Corp (Aus) and Fairfax simply structures business models drowning and clutching at straws to stay alive. Without New York News Corp (Aus) would be dead and Sky news barely exists. Without the ABC Australia would be reduced to a failed Democracy striving to be a fascist Ethnocracy

  I don't think Andrew Bolt has much of an argument here when he sponsored Lauren Southern and Stefan Molyneux on his show. They had the most degrading things to say about Australian Aborigines that has been heard on public media. Andrew Bolt happily provided them with the platform to do it without the criticism he's directing at Bongiorno here. I do agree "uncle Tom" isn't the most appropriate term to apply to Mundine on Australian media as we aren't American however "coconut" is generally what indigenous Australians think of him. Bongiorno is simply using a descriptive applied no just by himself but most Aborigines with a voice.  He's regarded as black on the outside but Bolt in the middle.

Word play sure is Bolt doesn't seem to know the difference between Jews and Israel. He doesn't mention that he was not just attacked by Keane but he was screamed at and called an idiot by the president of a major Victorian Jewish Society the Jewish Community Council of Victoria, Jennifer Huppert. Keane didn't attack or criticize Jews he took aim at Israel. Bolt it seems took aim at Jews and he hit his target whether intenional or not the fact he's not saying sorry is sufficent to prove he's not an ally but a fake friend just as the Dutch were post WW2 when they claimed to be allies of the Jews. The man who brags that he works an 80 hour week while people like Duncan Storar do nothing began his weekend on Friday morning and really took the time off until last night and started his 4 day week with little more than a banner that suggests a connection between two totally unrelated events. He 's so loose with his facts that he doesn't even bother to check his facts. the girl was 14, not 13. Bolt wished he could say 10 no doubt.

So let's do the same because I can't access Bolt's "column".  I can, however, compare two events and ask a more poignant question just the same.

Take George Colomaris pushing a soccer fan about as hard as Sophie Mirabella pushed Cabinet MP Ken Wyatt to prevent a photo being taken with Indie Independent MP Cathy McGowan. George did it for the honour of his mother who it was acknowledged the fan wasn't flattering.  George was charged fined and forced to apologize and lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in sponsorships and banned himself for a year from the game he loved. He missed Melbourne Victory's Grand Final win this weekend.
 
Andrew Bolt on the other hand in public went feral on 2 pranksters who threw some glitter on him, yes just glitter. So much so Bolt lost it and on video too. He clearly attempted what could have easily been seen as GBH Grievous Bodily Harm. He even proudly admitted to kicking one prankster in the crutch and punching him on the jaw. But Bolt didn't stop he made every effort to do more.
Caught on camera Bolt wasn't humble in fact it seemed as if he was having a bi-polar manic - moment and it lasted for days. He wasn't just pleased with himself but publicly called on others to do much the same and take courage from his example and go out and punch suspicious lefties. He even put up his glitter stained suit for Auction. The question remains today WHY WAS HE NOT CHARGED IF GEORGE WAS?  George had to defend himself did the Murdoch legal pit bulls come out to defend Andrew Bolt who seemed mentally challenged in the way he responded. 

CATHY McGOWAN'S DAMNING SILENCE

 Federal MP Cathy McGowan waited until a court hearing last week to finally say publicly she had not been pushed by Sophie Mirabella. Her failure over two years to clear the record publicly is damning.  

Cathy Mc Gowan said she wasn't pushed. The Newspaper apologized Bolt doesn't mention that, does he? Yes, the Newspaper got it wrong. But McGowan was hindered from having her photo taken with Ken Wyatt and intentionally so by Sophie Mirabella. She wasn't obliged to intervene in anything Sophie did and minded her business. She didn't intervene with Mirabella stopping Wyatt or the reporter writing a story and getting it wrong. She walked away from the stupidity. Mirabella's victory is and will be proven to be Pyrrhic the woman has a record of own goals as long as Tony Abbott's. Yes here we have a case of Andrew Bolt verbally "glittering" "staining" Cathy Mc Gowan but she being a woman and ergo wiser than Bolt will let this slide through to the keeper.

Guess this reads as if Bevis and Butthead a.k.a Blair and Bolt are defending themselves again against the attack of the "freak bats" the "me too" brigade and what they call reverse genderism making them male victims which however does not exist. Bolt has given up and has accepted the fact that Labour will win why? It's in the interests of News Corp's business model which changed when Abbott was thrown out of office. Have Abbott become the leader in opposition again, run a full frontal attack on the ALP with a nope nope nope approach to policy. Revenue will continue to flow from the BCA and IPA lobbying and advertorial fake news as always after all influence has been proven by 2850 anti- Muslim articles in a year and the division they created. The same could be done for any number of things with Abbott back. In tears and on his knees Bolt is the corner preacher who doesn't understand why god isn't helping him in his fight and why experts can't see or aren't backing him up. In Bolt's world it seems emotion overrides reason when it comes to justice and truth. You can almost feel Bolt's pain but you have to laugh.

  If for one moment Bolt was able to ask a question  as simple as why? He might just find an answer in it's not Religion but Politics. The Copts have chosen to ally themselves politically with the elites of Egypt the military government the military government that the US and Israel opposed not so long ago when they financed and supported the Muslim Brotherhood.  Having lit that fuse they lost and have now changed sides or have they we don't really know where the covert interests of Israel and the US lie. It's now mirrored in their ambivalence in Syria. Are they for or against Assad does Bolt definitively know. One could begin to ask whose weapons were the Copts killed with? Bolt has a simpletons context in which place his outrage when the answer lie in the much more complex question why? It's not because they are Christian but because whose side they are on.

This plan to bring down the governments of the Secular Pan Arabic States was hatched at the turn of the last century Israel for it's protection and the US in it's grab for oil. Israel preferred to face warring tribes across Nth Africa and the Middle East rather than face the armies of a united Arabic front of Hussein, Gaddaffi,Assad and Egypts Mubarak. all military despots who had outlived their use. Rebels no  but Sunni"freedom fighters" were all once supported by the US, UK, France, and Australia even as far back as Osama Bin Laden in Afghanisthan.  Salman Abedi was in Syria fighting with us when he saw what Allied bombs did to women and children in both Lybia ans Syria. The kid rang his mother before he killed himself and sorry.
How is it we are ready to accept the PTSD suffered by American and Australian troops suffered in the Middle East but not the PTSD of  of someone like Abedi both and Arab and a Muslim aren't Muslims traumatized by war also searching for explanations? If we are ready to point the blame at him shouldn't greater blame be saught with ours and Russia's involvement in the bloodbath? Trump just signed a $350 billion arms agreement with the Saudis and said he hoped that would help them deal with Iran. How effen un-peaceful is that?

 

THE PLAN TO DIVIDE US BY RACE

Aboriginal leaders demand a new elected body for Australians with Aboriginal ancesters so politicians hear the "First ­Nations Voice" when passing laws. But they already have a voice. Like the rest of us, they can vote for representatives  in Parliament. What they really want is more say than everyone else, based on their "race". Official racism.

  Bolt the Indigenous Australian who insists his history of Australia stretches back all of 59 years divides us in so many ways. It's "idiotic denial" to say that Bolt didn't become the first Australian from the day he was born the keeper of the candle of Australian history. Australia isn't racist there is no past beyond him so there is no reason for guilt. We live in a meritocracy and Bolt is living proof that if your smart intelligent skilled and compete you will be recognized and rewarded for what you are and puff the magic dragon told him that.  He is and lives in the state he himself claims to be "idiotic denial" in fact he is their leading media administer. 

There is no "plan" to divide us by race we are and have been divided by race for 200 years. What we want is to secede from the state of "idiotic denial " in which Andrew Bolt lives and plant our feet in reality. Instead of blaming the first Australians for the systemic disadvantage which they have suffered for the past 200 years under the pressure of intervention and arrest because of the demand to not look black and be like us but asking why if we were so clever and charitable we have left them worse off today than when we arrived. We non first peoples are the ones who fail to recognize who it is we are and so live in "idiotic denial"

WHY HAVE WE LEFT THEM IN?

The largest and most notorious terrorist alive is still white Christian and an extreme right wing thinker like Murray and Bolt Anders Brevik. He killed 177 people injured many more and the majority children. He killed the children of politicians to make them "pay for their mistakes". Strange he resides in the shadows of Bolt's European history never to be talked about. Brevik like most terrorists was a person born in the country where the crimes were committed. He was a Christian but obviously an non practicing one and with no real depth of knowledge about his religion. Christians in fact denied him something else in common with those Bolt deems Muslim Terrorists.

Bolt seems to deny Australian History except for immigration when he declares as a settler nation we should have been more choosey and welcomed the Europeans of the world in those that didn't want to come and do the hard labor because they were living the high cultural life Bolt aspires to. One might ask  why people like Bolt's parents came to Australia if they weren't "refugees". What enticed them to leave home? A lot of Nazis and Nazi sympathizers were having a bad time in the Netherlands  Germany and other parts of Europe payback time had come and they left. We forgave and said live and let live welcoming refugees from the communism that was taking over Europe we were an example. However that wasn't the case in the Western Block  the middle classes stayed and rebuilt and renewed their professional lives. Ex-Nazis and their sympathizers weren't so comfortable post war and sought refuge and new identities in places like Australia and we let them in and we left them in. Andrew Bolt demands extreme scrutiny now here and in Europe so extreme that the children of immigrant refugees be closely looked at. How is it the majority of these people are ready and willing to talk of their experiences and why it is they left. You never hear that willingness from Andrew Bolt who leaves his parents past a blank page. He demands of others what he doesn't demand of himself. Me thinks he demands too loud!!!
