The Science of Global Warming has been with us for 40 years, and since then the evidence and facts have only grown stronger and stronger. Bolt's 60 and for more than 40 of those years he's discovered he could live with being rich a failed intellectual but a lobbyist for toxic industries, irrational thinkers self-interested profiteers with no interest in the long term or the common good.
 It doesn't matter to Andrew Bolt that he wasn't the worlds best journalist because journalism and journalists were a dying breed that found a home in places like the ABC. Besides money could quickly destroy the ethics journalists upheld. Bolt saw a future and his mobility in working for the man. He could become a millionaire if he licked the boots of billionaires and he did just that in Murdoch's Goebellian world.
For over 40 years, the Science of Global warming has only got stronger and stronger that man-made Greenhouse gas emissions cause global warming. The facts have become as certain as the research that tobacco causes lung cancer and sugar Diabetes. Spruikers like Bolt are paid to insist the case remains open and until 100% certain people needn't stop doing what they have been doing for the past century.
Climate Science, however, has accumulated as much evidence as anti Tobacco, but we haven't stopped global tobacco. Yet here's Bolt in Australia like Monty Pythons Black Knight telling us there's a case still to be heard in the face of undeniable facts. Unable to quash the science or scientists who can't really be bothered to debate where a debate no longer exists. Bolt simply runs around playing whack-a-mole with his megaphone trying to convince us a debate still exists. But in doing that proving, he's the idiot, and the judgement on man-made pollution is certain.
 In this case, it's the children of the world who Bolt is bashing because they accept the Science. Last week it was Australia's biggest corporations as they do too. Prior to that, it was investors, banks and financial advisers who were promoting sources of cleaner all who have been convinced that a change is necessary. Everyone has turned their backs on Andrew Bolt who once denied science and said the planet was cooling and he did that for 20 years and shut up why? Because it made him look the paid fool he is. However, he's brought attention to the undeniable toxic pollution those he supports are leaving behind for the future generations of children to deal with. The science of toxic pollution is well and truly in yet here is Bolt telling Australians 3rd in the world's enablers of gas polluters and the worlds leader,the biggest coal exporter which makes the 24 million of us the world worst polluters mega times worse than the polluters that we are complaining about that are leaving our northern coastlines fouled by an ocean of plastics

 Bolt can only hope. His banner "Shock" is typical Bolt. All style but little analysis or meaning of his own. What there is, taken from Fairfax's Age with a panic coating inserted by Bolt for, style like a cheap suit. The intent is to claim he was right and if the dominoes fell his way to brag incessantly. If wrong buried not mentioned again it's a Bolt method repeated time and time again. It's what has been called loose commentary by wiser men. 

Generally, over the years Bolt's been wrong yet claimed the high ground as he moves on as if nothing happened. This swing against Sharma no matter win or lose has been a disaster and no more so than for Bolt's conservatives and his foremost dog in the forthcoming poll in 2019 Tony Abbott. The referencing of Abbott as Bolt's dog, by the way, was Andrew Bolt's. He used it when Abbott lost his leadership and Turnbull was facing his first election. Bolt said he's lost interest in politics as he hadn't a dog in the race.
Dr Phelps had a lead of 1626 votes in the update posted by the Australian Electoral Commission at 6.45pm on Sunday, securing 37,719 votes in two-party terms compared to 36,093 for Mr Sharma.

TURNBULL IS THE ENEMY OF THE LIBERALS

Surely the Wentworth disaster will force the Liberals to draw a line. Right through Malcolm Turnbull’s name.  The former prime minister must be damned as a traitor and unwelcome at any Liberal function after what he’s done to them - and not just in Wentworth.

SACKING TURNBULL WASN'T THE REAL PROBLEM

The Liberals didn’t suffer a huge swing in the Wentworth by-election just because they sacked Malcolm Turnbull. The massive difference in support for candidate Dave Sharma in the postal ballots sent before Saturday (63.6 per cent, after preferences) and in the ballots cast on the day (47.5 per cent) points the finger at Scott Morrison, too.

What did I say in my last night's post above? Bolt would choke before saying he was wrong. The "shock" of a near win has been left behind forgotten replaced by " the AEC has updated the count, by my point remains.". Bolt has placed himself as the leader on the media podium above all other commentators.

I have heard so many people - including an academic last week - claim that Melbourne's African gang violence is just a media myth. Here are ten examples of that "myth" - bashings, carjackings and home invasions - all taken from news reports in just the past week. Academics, Police, Social Workers all claim African gang violence is a "Media Myth". Andrew Bolt Kevin Andrews and Mathew Guy claim it's not. Yet when Africans are alleged to be the cause of this massive crime wave and the statistics even when skewed against them show they at worst represent only 1% of the crime in this State. A State moreover that has a falling crime rate of 9% and as such the best in the country.
To actually accept reality that the history of this country is one of multiculturalism can't be done by Bolt because that would mean accepting that crime is multicultural and as such yes Africans too commit offences but not because they are exceptional form Africa or that they are black they happen to live in a Rainbow Nation where all of us commit crime.
However, it's not the conclusion Bolt wants us to believe so forget the stats forget the reality selectively chose events to prove his predetermined racist conclusion. Don't mention the carjackings done by anyone other than Africans and you have an argument that's not original, has nothing to do with reality but one that you will find that was applied throughout history to other unwanted minorities by racists exactly like Andrew Bolt. White Racists in the US, South Africa, Germany, and Holland have all done it against people of colour, Jews, and Muslims and when the statistics were looked at objectively were proved wrong.
Bolt's no genius someone who has a unique grasp on our statistics of crime. But it's strange in many ways. If he were concerned at all about the social damage and cost of crime to Victorians why doesn't focus on Corporate Crime? Middle-Class Crime crimes generally committed by his social peers that impact financially on hundreds of thousands of Victorians a major cause of suicides, family breakdowns and mental breakdowns. Bolt ignores the damage caused altogether because that's not his purpose his purpose is stereotype, magnify and amplify the acts of a specific group in society and tell us they are exceptional specific to that group and that it unwanted because they simply don't fit with "his tribe" that's never defined. Bolt promotes 2 myths one of "them"  but a greater myth he never really defines "us" when in his case the "us" is limited to an exceptional few. 71% of crime is committed by Australians

WRITERS FESTIVALS ARE TO EXCLUDE IDEAS, NOT DEBATE THEM

Andrew Bolt is really confused, isn't he? He's actually talking about the Bolt Report where debate is off the agenda altogether the diversity of ideas simply doesn't exist. The Writer's Festival is far more like the Drum where diversity does.

FLANAGAN VS THE PURITANS OF OUR WRITERS FESTIVALS

Richard Flanagan may be an extreme eco-pietist who'd defend even an anti-Semitic jihadist. But bravo to him for attacking the tyrannical puritanism of the Brisbane Writers' Festival, now banning Germaine Greer and quashing real debate: "Who would have thought it would be writers’ festivals that would now act against such freedom? " Well, me.

I doubt if Flanagan knows who Andrew Bolt is and am certain he doesn't read him. So what we have here is self-congratulation on Bolt's part that he wasn't invited either and somehow beleieves he's an equal with this uninvited group who would never stop to talk to him.

 The Brisbane Writers Festival is fully aware of Bob Carr and Germaine Greer and realize their repetitive voices are more than well known. There isn't a Festival if it's only an echo chamber of what's been said and who has said it before. Festivals aren't meant to be Bolt's version of Anzac Day but are implicitly the introduction of new voices young voices and voices trying to be heard. Flanagan unfortunately isn't one we look forward to at moments like Brisbane either as entertaining as all the old bloods might be. However I doubt if they felt rebuffed for not being given center stage yet again.

 

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LEFT AND A CONSERVATIVE

I am marvelling at the sight of journalists and politicians who once mocked  calls to cut immigration as extreme now suggesting the Turnbull Government may need to do just that. The difference between a conservative "extremist" and a Leftist journalist is often just time.

 Conservatives simply demand uniformity over diversity yet never clearly define what that means. "Others" need to change because Australia is currently a history of failure rather than success. However, the most notable failures have been seen to have occurred this century with the Howard government and accelerating socially and economically with the Abbott government which had the greatest record of doing nothing since John Gorton. He actually called for the burning of books in schools libraries and universities. He like Abbott and Bolt was an opponent of multiculturalism and focused his attention on Jews and the plague of ideas that accompanied them.

Imagine for a single minute if Australia's News and information our source of information was The Bolt Report. Now that's what Bolt and News Corp strive for the total concentration of privatized, commercial media. In fact with this merger 86% of Australian media will be owned by 2 corporations.
2 Corporations vying for the advertising dollar and presenting information and programs to please those with $$$ does Bolt for a single instance suggest that Australians will be invited to a diverse range of competing ideas, not for a second there would never have been a referendum on same-sex marriage, there'd never have been a Royal Commission into banks. There'd only be the corporate run messages of the biggest advertisers. News Corp (Aus) and Fairfax simply structures business models drowning and clutching at straws to stay alive. Without New York News Corp (Aus) would be dead and Sky news barely exists. Without the ABC Australia would be reduced to a failed Democracy striving to be a fascist Ethnocracy

  I don't think Andrew Bolt has much of an argument here when he sponsored Lauren Southern and Stefan Molyneux on his show. They had the most degrading things to say about Australian Aborigines that has been heard on public media. Andrew Bolt happily provided them with the platform to do it without the criticism he's directing at Bongiorno here. I do agree "uncle Tom" isn't the most appropriate term to apply to Mundine on Australian media as we aren't American however "coconut" is generally what indigenous Australians think of him. Bongiorno is simply using a descriptive applied no just by himself but most Aborigines with a voice.  He's regarded as black on the outside but Bolt in the middle.

Word play sure is Bolt doesn't seem to know the difference between Jews and Israel. He doesn't mention that he was not just attacked by Keane but he was screamed at and called an idiot by the president of a major Victorian Jewish Society the Jewish Community Council of Victoria, Jennifer Huppert. Keane didn't attack or criticize Jews he took aim at Israel.  The desperation of Bolt trying to be believed is amazing. The hypocrisy of himself and the extreme conservatives he's a spokesman for is psychotic in that they can't  for a moment step back and see themselves in the context of their insanity.  Last week and today immediately after they lost the Marriage Equality vote they have been demanding respect, respect because they are different in that they voted "no" and that now they too should be deferred to in law. However not so Indigenous Australians they have lost to white Christian supremacists for 200 years and been told by their ass hole spokespeople like Bolt it's their fault.  However, today with the vote against him Bolt demands respect and freedom of religious belief for Christians who 66% of Australia says are wrong. Bolt still denies that same respect to be given to first Australians on what they believe is invasion day.He even denies the ABC the right to acknowledge it.

As for the Somali for the moment he seems to have been arrested for little more than what he thought, read and believed which even Bolt insists we should all be free to do. One person in 24 million is a threat to this country in the meantime good Australian Christian boys are shooting each other up in drug wars carjackings and Bolt says nothing. If it was a Sudanese Bolt would have to ignore it because he'd most likely have been Christian. No this is a way of killing two birds with one stone the kid was not only Black but a Muslim to boot. It's strange just how Bolt uses the media to play out his Identity Politics. How often have we heard Bolt declare the police are liars when they have said we don't have an African or Muslim problem here in Melbourne, in fact, we don't have a terrorist issue.

 Bolt has publicly declared conservatives are weak pussies and need to clench their fists and be as brave as the Barcelona terrorists and prepared to go to war on our streets for what they believe in. Here in Melbourne as he did in Carlton. Isn't that an act of incitement to violence? Why isn't Bolt charged who protects him?

Here is Bolt deflecting attention away from his team climbing the moral high ground. However, he can't deflect the sexist reality away from the Liberal Party with only 22% women MP's. The argument of equality and merit doesn't hold when compared with the ALPs 40%. Abbott doesn't attract the female vote and his problem is that Julie Bishop does. So watch the hoons try to destroy her and claim they don't disrespect women.

Abbott has raised her from the grave by dividing the Liberal Party for the sole purpose of this time destroying Turnbull by causing division in the hope he'd be recalled like and raised like Lazarus and then swallowing Pauline again. Abbott truly is a Golem using Murdoch's tools  Bolt,  McCrann and Peter BH et al in the process. However, he has to kill off Julie Bishop in the process first who is polling way ahead of him as a drawcard alt-leader of the Party. Abbott you see doesn't have the women on side. He can't be seen doing it directly so he has been lent Murdoch's men.

What Bolt doesn't tell you is that 3 other publishers are bidding for Hamilton's the book. Bolt, as usual, is too busy pushing his own confused ideological barrow. What Bolt seems to be quite confused an advocate of the Capitalist Free Market is somehow claiming that the market needs government protection?  Just batting for a side hey Bolt forget the principled moral high ground. What Bolt fails to recognize as a commentator of any stature is the Liberals were in trouble from the moment Tony Abbott became PM in the election the ALP lost. When it's convenient for Bolt he declares that warming isn't a death rate problem the cold is.  People don't die in warm climates as much as in cold. However, that in this instant is not a convenient fact for Bolt and warming is the problem. Turning on the "air conditioning" is. I'm afraid Bolt hasn't a clue about poverty if he believes the poor have "air conditioning" He must be referring to the poor in Malvern. The fact is this summer it must be a problem because it's getting "hotter"
 Bolt's swung from denialist to accepting warming as a given scientific fact yes it's getting hotter.  But the issue is simply the policies to deal with it coal or renewables. So let's make this a historic occasion and note that Bolt is a warmist and warming isn't any longer just a scare, heat kills.
The poor throughout history have been the least able to deal with it the wealthy have never had that problem and that is a matter of social justice and the distribution of wealth, not the issue or the reality of increased planet temperature. 
All Bolt even admits this fact that social justice is the political issue a football kicked around by incompetent politicians an issue of welfare. Those like Bol are against any intervention by way of increased taxes on those that can readily. They already bear a burden of how to invest their money. It should be noted 400 billion and millionaires in the USA have signed a petition against Trumps tax cuts and a prepared to help raise the quality of the current living standards of the poor. That's a solution not considered by Bolt. In Australia, polls indicate the same only a dead set minority are against taxing the wealthy who have increased their incomes by 22% while the rest of us have flatlined. These extreme conservatives the major shareholders of the nations increased wealth along with Bolt News Corp and the IPA are their loudest advocates to cut their taxes and any form of welfare. So don't tell me Andrew Bolt believes that the poor are hurting or whats more even cares.
Today Shell sold it's $3.3 Billion interest in Woodside and  Fossil fuels and the NAB announced it was reducing its interests in the industry. Given that Abbott destroyed the automotive industry in the country and is against subsidies these decisions along with the documented tax evasion seen in the Paradise Papers how much cheaper should our electricity be or would it be a problem at all if everybody actually paid their taxes rather than hid their incomes?
