People who change their direction on a coin have been often regarded as psychotic or bi-polar. However in this case I'd hate to tar the mentally ill with an Abbott brush. These changes are certainly confected and not natural to Abbott which make him as trustworthy as a rabid bull terrier or the boxer punching with eyes shut that we know. The rose tinted glasses are Bolt's or Peters. For Bolt this is Abbott's Lazarus moment but instead of rising up to the fore he should go the way of Glenn Lazarus to hospital. The man can't be trusted. He just tried to get Daniel Andrews to break election promises is that a man who understands truth?

This comes from Bolt who sees no issue with white police shooting black Americans every 2 days children included. That blacks get pulled up and questioned in the middle of winter for nothing. The Blatant denial that this election didn't carry with it the Abbott factor is heads in the sand or more spin by the Liberals. Stiff upper lip and all that stuff from would be Knights and Dame of the realm.
The cry of unionists with grubby hands taking over the state didn't help the Libs either. That mysterious art gallery,opera and tulip growing set that Andrew Bolt likes to let us know he belongs to were noticed by their absence. You see those unionists Bolt refers to were actually educated professionals teachers,nurses,paramedics etc people far more likely to be believed than politicians and uneducated right wing commentators. They stood up and were counted in this campaign. Abbott's absence was noted by the large swings in Liberal seats and the lack of any last minute rally by Liberal voters.
The influence of the dislike for extreme right politics in government that is Abbott did cast a shadow on this election and the coalition knew it. What was Abbott's excuse for non attendance?
By the way Bolt's homage to what he feels are his elitist tastes is a blog below letting us know he is a Pavarotti buff. Last week it was Miles Davis who Bolt lauded who on any other day could have been a young Michael Brown. Bolt lauded Michael for being shot by Wilson a white Ferguson cop.
Abbott should listen to Bolt, combined they are Labour's best asset. Bolt's blog is all over the shoppe. His rant "be more conservative" "Elections are won from the middle" is like a chook with it's off. "It's the ABC and SMH fault" no "it's my fault" Well Mr Andrew Bolt it certainly was somebody's fault. Maybe it was the fault of the voters who could see as clearly that the Liberals in general were stuffing up Education,Health,Roads. These are professionals worker's who were more trusted than any politician. Meanwhile banks, insurance companies,transnationals property investors were all riding high.
State and Federal politics don't run vast and separate issues when families and kids are concerned. When the media scaremongers they don't look to see if it's State or Federal they feel the pall cast across the country. When baby boomers see grim futures ahead because of government negativity and unfairness they either turn off or get angry and this time they were angry. Strange thing the younger generation seemed to turn off.
One thing is for sure we should rid ourselves totally of one layer of politics and I opt for State. What would that do to our deficit?
One thing is for sure Labour are far far better negotiators than the Liberals have ever been. Gillard negotiated far more bills than Abbott in her first year and Andrews will do the same. They don't operate from the Pinochet end of the spectrum.
