Roy Spencer is the most quoted Climate Denier despite the man's most embarrassing scientific past. Bolt has been quoting Spencer for years because Fox News has. Spencer first published some 25 years ago. Nevertheless Bolt has been echoing his statements which have been proven false for quite some time. " no warming for 14 years, 15 years, 16 ,17,and 18 years and 3 months"
Spencers calculations were disproved long ago yet Bolt has insisted repeating his false conclusion no matter how many times he was told it was false. He repeats it here again but now declares it's "data corrected"In other words he admits he's championed a lie for years but didn't care even when told it was wrong.
So Bolt is now championing his now corrected lie that still needs verification. But that's another concept in science that Bolt has no time for verification? So the bull shit goes on.
WHAT YOU WONT HEAR FROM BOLT IS that Troposphere heat is not all the heat increase of the planet. Most heat in fact is absorbed and captured in the oceans but that's another story
Is Bolt even capable of rational thought? It would appear not. Aly offering a reasoned explanation of the events why Chan and Sukumaran could not escape execution has Bolt flaying about in frenzy calling him an Abbott hater a terrorist apologist anything he can find in his dirt bucket. Bolt claims Aly is garbled Bolt is so far off topic he misses the whole point of the analysis. Bolt has never in the time I've experienced his penmanship and that's a year written anything as detailed clear thoughtful that has shined some light on an issue in a revealing way. The Herald Sun agreed because he wasn't blaming Abbott he was explaining Abbott.
Bolt is embarrassed by the fact that Aly has brought some gravitas to The Project after Charlie Pickering felt it had none. His frenzy is about the reality which makes Bolt look so light weight and bad. He's shown up to be little more than the formulaic PR man he is.
Chan and Sukumaran invited punishment yes but here in Australia not Indonesia they were entrapped by the AFP along with 7 others and sent to receive a bullet. Aly explains how circumstances of the Bali bombing and a war on drugs brought the two to a political crossroad that made it nigh on impossible to reverse. Joko's election his failing popularity and need to show domestic strength put the nail in their coffin. Where is Abbott in all of this other than his history of treating Indonesia with little or no respect towing boats back with total disregard for Indonesia's complaints magnified a feeling of inadequacy Indonesians felt.
Bolt mania runs so high he calls Aly a " terror apologist" who needs to be removed from The Project. Bolt has cobbles together everything abusive that he can think of to say about the man. Nothing however sensible about Aly's explanation.
It's the problem with the Bolt's of this world who only highlight the bad and not the good. They don't have truth as an objective.
Fair enough there are extremists in Islam nobody is denying that. There are extreme Christians as well. The last mass extermination in Europe was not so long ago. It was Sebrenica 1995 where more than 8000 Muslims were killed by Christians. BOLT WONT TELL YOU THAT. There are also extremists for good in both religions trying to reform them. Basically there are more moderates on both sides not living with the intent that Bolt suggests they harbour.
Bolt is engaged in political activity and just as the extremists do he doesn't reveal or look for any truths. He substantiates conservative beliefs and values the taken for granted. Welcome to the world of the ABC and guest Ayaan Hirsi. She was doing something beyond what Bolt offers. He should try it some time.

Bolt expects universities to be training grounds an intellectual ADF without any democratic right. Universities need to be an arm of government as long as it's conservative of course.

There seems to be an inconvenient truth Bolt conveniently omits in his presentation of stats that being a Black American is x10 more likely to be killed by a white in America. Why would that be?
Further stats are useless indicators without the "meaning" behind the all of these deaths is not investigated.

Fox News' Sean Hannity even accused Freddie Gray of playing a part in his own death. Having been unable to pin the riots on street gangs Fox has begun blaming schools without explaining the police involvement inshutting down all the transport services enabling kids to get home.

courts lay down rules and Bolt has been brought to task 4 times as far
as we know. Does that make him a serial user of 'free speech' or an
offencive user of that right, a polluter of ideas. Advocate terrorism
and you get arrested Bolt doesn't argue with that. In fact he lauds it.
However if it was called advocating political action would his demands
be as valid? So whose a fake fighter of 'free speech' some Muslims
suspected of advocating political action have been held and not charged.

Shameful? Irrational? Bolt is meant to be a professional writer yet he applies adjectives that make no sense in the circumstance. Aly clear forthright and rational delivered a message. He provided his audience with food for thought. Bolt is just a self serving smart arse, the apprentice news reader throwing out predictable and constructed lines. Aly's first point is they didn't have to be any of that. They were however allowed to be by an irresponsible authority the AFP that allowed them to become entrapped.

Today if a group of young people were even thinking of going to the Middle East their passports be confiscated and they'd be arrested. The AFP were informed had prior knowledge of what was happening. They were party to the entrapment. Bolt simply calls them"drug smugglers" the official line.
Ten years ago a cruel cat and mouse game was allowed to play out. It got out of hand. Abbott had the opportunity to criticise the AFP's error of judgement but chose not to. All that hate and shame Bolt accuses Aly of is misguided Abbott minder's twaddle. If Bolt's son had been one of the 9 he would have stopped them going if he knew. If he didn't he'd have expected the AFP to as they'd promised Rush's father.

Abbott should have called a spade a shovel blamed the AFP, asked for leniency expressed disagreement and declared Indonesia's sovereign right as a nation to do what it sees fit.
