Bolt talks as if he's well informed about the Catholic Church in fact he knows next to nothing. Firstly if it was an Imam that was accused would Bolt be so staunch in his belief that evil was telling the truth? Never!! So why does he have so much faith in Ridsdale the paedophile?
Pell was accused by David Ridsdale of a bribe. Bolt suggested as Fr Ridsdale his uncle had already been accused prior to David's conversation with Pell there was no reason for bribery. That's far from the case. The serial crimes had not been revealed at that point. The greater the number of victims to come forward the more systemic that behavior would appear to have been within the church. Pell had every reason to protect the church from maximizing the damage to it. It's the very job of a CEO and bean counter like Pell.
How does Bolt justify defending Pell given the history of the hierarchy within the Catholic Church and it's cornerstone sacrament Confession and it's concomitant universal duty of silence within the institution . What happens within the church stays within the church.

Bolt believes FIFA is corrupt however not so the Catholic Church. He certainly neither a journalist nor an historian. He runs most of his arguments with the faith of a godbotherer or blinkered idealogue. Totally predictable given his background. A totally unsurprising tool.

I think Bolt needs to investigate the leaks that come from the LNP as I doubt Peter Hartcher a senior journalist would would spend the time with the staff making up what Bolt calls bullshit. But given Abbott hasn't been rushing to promote marriage equality rumors do abound. Nudge , nudge, wink,wink know what I mean.

1)This is supposed to be an intelligent argument put by Bolt. No evidence proffered only his opinion. What are Bolt's opinions other than from the extreme right something he doesn't shy away from. So are we being presented with and unbiased view of the ABC here? Not on your life!!
2) The Bolt report which we know is a totally biased right wing report is stacked with conservatives and Murdoch commentators with only one moderate or ex labour person as a token on the panel. It holds it's place on channel 10 despite ratings that would see other shows dumped,why? It's there at no cost to the Channel sponsored and paid for by Murdoch who also happens to be an investor and on the board of the station. Now that's BIAS
Mark Scott is the ABC board's appointed CEO he was enthusiastically appointed by Maurice Newman Tony Abbott's senior adviser and is hoping for a third 5 year term. There is a balanced board and a committee that oversees the issue of bias. None has been found but only accusations made. Compare the ratings of Q&A against the Bolt Report and ask is the studio audience biased? It's selection certainly isn't. So is the viewing audience? If so is Bolt suggesting Australia is biased? On any account Bolt wants the ABC to be more like the Bolt Report if that's the case why not turn the BR into Bolt's version of Q&A show us what a balanced show looks like and blow the ratings through the roof

By the way the man who died of blood poisoning on Manus died of neglect. Not everybody in prison camps died of gassing alone. Further the number of people that have died since the 2003 invasion of Iraq carried out under the guise of the WMD lie has neared 1 million. If the LNP members refuse to pass Shorten's Private Members Bill and allow a conscience vote on marriage equality who will be playing politics? Bolt is just playing political semantics.
Abbott walked over Hockey on the Tampon Tax and now is slow on Marriage Equality. The man just keeps showing his lack of leadership qualities and his team's fundamental inabilities to look like a government.
It's quite strange Bolt uses numbers to prove his point that we are among 177 countries that still don't accept marriage equality. Is that some thing significant? Among the 19 that do we seem to be last of the Anglophiles. How is it Bolt doesn't apply this same logic when arguing about Climate Change after all haven't we joined the majority of 143 countries that have put their hands up to tackle it head on. In fact we are standouts there as well. I wonder where we stand in the numbers argument when it comes to asylum seekers and their treatment.

All that bellicose cheering by Bolt trying ever so hard to be one of the LNP boys and for what. He must be a Carlton supporter. The blue boys got rid of Malthouse they need to get rid of Abbott. Don't they realise that Malthouse was handed to them by Collingwood with no regrets. Abbott was allowed to get were he has at the good grace of Labour. Well played Shorten.

What are we to make of this? All female Muslims are not only competent English speakers but have mastered the Australian vernacular. Brandis will be wasting $22 million teaching them English. Maybe we already know when the only witnesses to a situation are police one needs to take things with a grain of salt. There seems to be no witnesses to suggest what provoked the outburst or how the police reacted. Perfect gentleman we are lead to believe that drew the verbal abuse. In Bolt language, really!

Business already tells people how they must arrange there lives. How they must dress even if not supplied a uniform. How they must act without when not given a work place code of behavior. Business can spy on staff with CC TV cameras and outside the work place via social media. Isn't that enough intrusion for Bolt? What else is this called if it's not interfering with peoples domestic arrangements. The casualisation of work has required families to be on call to do hours for business as required. The employee hours can be shortened or lengthened as needed leaving families unable to plan. the 40 hour week with entitlements have been lost to them.
Bolt a total outsider can and does get involved in peoples private lives as well. His complaints have cost people their jobs just because the way they conduct themselves does not agree with him. These are things not available to workers in equal measure.
When bargaining for wages can entail the reduction of sick pay and holiday entitlements surely domestic violence can be thrown into the mix in this anything goes system. Subsidies for travel to and from work might be a good area. Why shouldn't travel costs be shared between employer and employee. Strange isn't it Bolt is a worker yet thinks like a boss, he's not. In some countries he'd be sent to be reeducated for thinking that way. However here he's just a Judas Ram .
