They were waiting for the war to be over so they could return home. However earlier this year saw Kobani razed to the ground in a battle between our allies the Kurds and ISIS and we all witnessed it live on TV. The Turks did nothing.
Then with nothing no home left but family in Canada they made a desperate attempt to get there via Europe when tragedy struck and the father lost his family. The lack of compassion shown by Bolt is to be found in his accusative and simplified description of their circumstance and what happened. That they weren't genuine or deserving refugees but "illegals". They were economic advantage takers. it's for this reason the 5 mill other Syrians should be stopped from coming. That Tony Abbott is correct in only allowing 269 Syrians to resettle here. If others were to come they should be sent back or to detention centers to be processed and returned back to their country which we are about to bomb.
Not only did Aylan's father lose his family not only were they coalition allies not only did they just see Kobani their home totally destroyed not only that they were trying to reach family ready to give them support but they are now held up by Andrew Bolt and ridiculed as frauds who were merely trying to take advantage of the pathetic left wing generosity of the west. Baird asked that we help Syrians fleeing because of war. His thoughts go from the impact war has on individual lives. In particular the impact a little boy's death had on him.
Andrew Bolt takes the case of the little boy and smears him and his family. Smears him because saving the boy would have been saving an unprocessed asylum seeker who would have been rejected in the long run he assumes. With that Bolt generalizes that most of those seeking asylum aren't genuine or might not be therefore we need to act prudently and police all movement as it's too difficult. In fact stop it in it's tracks. That's why Tony Abbott prohibition is right to have only let 269 Syrians into the country of 4 mill to date. If any come unprocessed by boat no matter how much they have suffered they can't enter here if they do we'll send them to Manus and then back to Syria and bomb them. That's the compassionate and fair thing to do for all concerned.

Apparently the "someone" in in this case is Andrew Bolt and the News Corp hive who have for the past two years been protecting Abbott's back for Rupert. They set up Malcolm Turnbull and even their second favorite Scott all for the sake of St Tony. Boy has that been hard work as there hasn't been many positives in the past two years.

Accordingly work safety is of no concern to Bolt nor is the safety of the Victorian public. Train drivers are required to drive wherever needed but according to Bolt and his troll knowledge of those destinations and training is an overreach. Trains obviously drive themselves.
